It is very funny how I love brands such as Stone Island, etc... I know a lot of the history, and the culture behind these brands, but i do not own a single piece except for a cool SI short i found for 40€. At my school and in my city in general, people wear amazing brands such as Stone Island, C.P Company, etc but probably don’t even know who Massimo Osti is. They just wear it for the badge, and they mostly buy the shittiest pieces (IMO), usually simple jackets with ugly chrome zippers, while for the same price they could buy an amazing vintage item... Anyways, this just made me kind of mad but who am I to judge especially if i don’t own a good piece anyway? :(

It's a bit like the mainline stuff, a few hits and a couple of misses. Sometimes the premium is totally unjustified and is way to much ie cotton grade on a t-shirt is the same as mainline only the print is different but the price difference is £50?? I think again like the mainline it has lacked real innovation and seems to be moving towards fashion related ,something it was not born out of, and should staying well clear of imo. Although I have seen some nice pieces from it, this seasons SILON for example, I have only the 1st A/W & SS in my wardrobe.

I was born in 72 and still wear stone island. I had a fila bj at 9. Burberry Armani and aquascutum soon after. Pop 84, matinique, ton sur ton chipie etc used it pick up my clothes in 2 shops in petticoat lane really great shops forgot what they were called , soon after got my first stone island the best make of early 80s for me was Ciao, ball jeans, wac, which was welcome to atomic city. I had loads of cp and stone island from 18 used to go to wood house and John Anthony mostly and copper fields in St Albans and a few others , used to love it. its a work of art aint it, and its from 83, i have the 90's Pail harvey designed steel shimmer and thats a beauty too, not a mark on it for a 30 year old jacket.
