Very informative! Thank you, Karen ❤ My skin barrier has been broken for 2 years now so excited to try this out. My only concern is that I would be dependent on this skincare routine. I try not to put too many products on my face because it has made me skin even more irritated. Have you ever experience this?

It shouldnt be your forever routine, usually for acne prone people, they’re able to have 1 night exfoliation, 1 night retinol, 2 nights barrier repair and it’d be good enough to start the cycle over
So if your skin barrier doesnt heal maybe the stinging or burning or redness arent caused by an unhealed skin barrier? I mean, what have you been doing every day for 2 years for your skin barrier to be injured all this time without healing itself?
Maybe you have sensitive skin or rosacea or extremely dry/flakey skin instead. I’d advice visiting a good derm and getting a diagnosis instead of self diagnosis based on a random youtuber’s (who isn’t even a derm or a healthcare specialist in any way) advice. You never know if she’s sponsored or not.

Is there a reason why you didn’t do a double cleanse? I feel like just the cleansing water wouldn’t be enough to fully remove your makeup
