Congrats on your first video mate! What a fantastic start to the series. Looking forward to seeing what you're able to cook up over the coming weeks and months! 🥳 (Especially if it involves fried chicken).
Yes my son loves Japanese food & learning Japanese and watching anime. He is practicing cooking, hiragana, watching and drawing anime. I’m sure he’d love to see a champ at work.
I love this dude immediately. He explains things well and sees like a super cool guy. I also appreciate the recipe in the description. I’d love to see a couple simple fried rice recipes. I’m always looking to step up my game on that.
i was just about to comment this, i just looked up heaps of recipes and this is the only one that looks delcious but easy and simple to follow and understand.
i just made this and it tasted wonderful! so rich and flavourful! (i did tweak it a tiny bit: i used shaoxing wine instead of mirin, added in some ginger after steaming the chicken for the 3mins, and added a half of a vegetable cube for some extra flavour)
If I'd earned a belt that bad ass, you'd best believe I'd be wearing it every chance I got too. That he's doing it as he throws open the door and invites us in to share his knowledge and skills for us all to learn from is the kind of thing a TRUE champion does.
As a non-native english speaker myself, I'm impressed with how smoothly you're able to explain things. It's a joy to listen to! The recipe looks great to boot. Definitely subscribing 😁
Chris Broad got me here! I think maybe try a meal plan for an athlete...? Maybe bento lunch boxes for someone who is watching their diet with enough protein for athletes.
Thank you! This is, by far, THE BEST chicken teriyaki recipe I have ever tried. My family devours it! They now prefer my chicken teriyaki to the one we used to buy at a Japanese restaurant. AMAZING! Just try it.
Amazing, a Champion in the ring and a Champion in the kitchen! Ryosuke-san, I would love to see a rural dish, something you dont see cooked in the cities very much.
Abroad brought me here, watched the video. Decided to make it for lunch following your steps. Turned out fantastic! I was a little heavy on the salt but I'll know for next time!
Hope this channel thrive! As soon as I found out that Chris’ friend is starting a youtube channel, about COOKING and FOOD, I was immediately sold Ryosuke has a really likeable personality and his explanations just makes us understand better. Just an overall great dude! Ps. Props to the editor. It’s Lit!!
1. The production quality of this video is amazing! I can't wait for more! 2. I like the friendly vibe that you give off. It makes me feel like you are teaching me because you want me to learn, not to get views or something. 3. As someone that is trying to learn Japanese, I appreciate that you try to teach us words and phrases in the video. I keep re watching so that I can practice lol. This was an amazing start for this channel. I cant wait for this channel to get the following it deserves!
Thank you so much champion. Not only are your recipes fantastic but you're also a boxer and former champion, boxing is my favorite sport! Massive respect to you and thank you again.
Just made this. Here's my critique. But first, I must mention some things I had to change. First, I didn't change the recipe at all. It was perfect. I simply had to make more of it. I also added some summer squash and a green pepper for extra veggies for my family. That is the only change I made. I cooked the veggies separately. For my critique, I'll simply say this. The teriyaki cooked up sublime, making a glaze even with a double batch. The taste was spot on. Needlessly to say, I am very impressed. Arigato gozaimashita! Kono teriyaki ha oishii desu!
It's nice that you made this for your family by making more batches, but this recipe is designed for single portion. Remember, it's a dish that Ryosuke made for recovery after exercise. I'd say the recipe as it is perfect for that purpose.
@@ChauNyan I know what you're saying, but I have enough experience to know that in this particular case, making more wouldn't change anything. He made it for recovery, but I made it for dinner. Lol. It worked perfectly down to the textures and consistencies of the finished product.
@@WaltRBuck I agree. You can basically add or exclude whatever u want. The basics in this case are crispy thigh chicken, the sauce, green onion. I do believe the onion is an amazing complimentary vegetable and should be included. I also made this dish today and it was the first time I nailed teriyaki chicken. In my case I added some freshly grated garlic to the sauce because I love garlic, and next time I will eat it with some rice included. Oh yea I used white sugar instead of brown sugar. If I have to change anything to this recipe then I would probably want to take out the chicken and onion after they crisp up. Keeping the oil in the pan and start sautéing the sauce for 4 or 5 minutes. When that's done I can pour the sauce over the chicken and vegetables so that it stays crispy.
I enjoyed the classy lofi at the end, camera work, environment, recipe in the description and simple instructions/recipe. Very professional; the dish look tasty too! 😋
I am happy Chris sent me here. Ryosuke seems like a good man, who explains things well, is easy to understand, is enthusiastic and energetic, and cooks tasty food well. He is also showing his belt like the champion he is in the boxing he used to do (and win).
