nature wives became a thing back in season 1. people liked the idea of shrub and katherine being together since their characters are both nature-themed, hence the name “nature wives”

@Luis Suazo You are actually right! The name Nature Wives was made to parallel the preexisting Flower Husbands! You can thank Tumblr for that. Nature Wives is a fascinating concept because Shrub and Katherine had so few interactions back in season 1, however it is one of the cutest ships that have come from Empires so far! I am rooting for it to happen in this season, as that seems to be the way the content creators are trying to go. Of course Shelby has been very openly on Tumblr for longer than any of the other Empires members, but we know Katherine has a secret account as well. We also know they’ve seen a lot of the Nature Wives content from season 1 so it wouldn’t surprise me at all if they want to do Nature Wives to reward the fans in a way.
There is also the fact that multiple of the other Empires members (especially Sausage) have been hyping up Nature Wives, so I do think we will be getting more than crumbs soon.
I think we all know we would rather pick Shubble than Joey really, the way his pesky vibes are going.

I think joey is much more in love with the pirate spirit he feels in Katherine than her looks, I think he is so obsessed with Katherine because she is the only pirate (pirate in his eyes) on the server, he even shows us this every time he shows signs of interest in someone with pirate like characteristics (like in his last video when he suggested a three way thing with Jimmy because he said he felt like he would make a great pirate). That's why I think he is gonna end up in a relationship with skeletron

He had no one, he only had his crew but he lost them, so she might actually love katherine.
At the moment, this is all a moot point, since Shelby hasn't magiced up the courage to tell Katherine that she's interested. Katherine is obviously not interested in Joey, as she's blatantly expressed on several occasions. But, she's blissfully unaware that Shelby also has interest in her. Heck, for all we know, there may be others who are interested but haven't said anything. Also, it's unlikely that Katherine is even considering romance at this time, due to more pressing concerns. ( i.e. the curse ) I doubt that this situation will be resolved any time soon, and that's a good thing. 🤠👍💕

I feel like joey just like Katherine because he thinks that she's a pirate, he literally said in one of his videos that he doesn't really care who the person is, as long as they're pirates. Seems kinda toxic to me, the moment he finds another "pirate" person he'll just leave Katherine. So yea maybe Shelby has some problems but it doesn't mean Katherine has to suffer from it and do everything just to solve her problems. Relationship isn't about solving eachother problems its about help but if you can't help each other it doesn't mean you don't belong together.

I think that Shelby would be a better choice. Shelby would be willing to actually listen to Katherine and would wait for her to be ready instead of keep on pushing Katherine like Joey. Shelby does come with a lot of baggage, but it would be easier to handle the larger stress together instead of the smaller weight alone.

Katherine "falls in love" with Joey over time then they plan to get married then shubble makes a love potion and gives it to Katherine but it turns out Katherine actually never liked joey and was forced into marriage so then the love potion does something its not supposed to, like for example maybe making her curse worse or maybe fixing her curse! Or maybe something so bad Katherine never forgives shubble 🤔

I hadn't watched shubble's most recent empires vid yet so when you talk about the scene where shubble said she was going to fight for Katherine's heart I was so surprised and was VERY ENTHUSIASTIC. I watched the scene and I love it so much. I do think it will be interesting how this will turn out in the series. I really hope nature wives will win though! Though Shubble has a lot of baggage you didn't mention, and I don't think there is much, toxicity to the relationship itself. Where as Joey is very stalkerish and doesn't really listen to her. He only really likes her because he thinks she's a pirate and is pretty. I also feel like if Joey were to figure out she wasn't a pirate he would probably lose all feelings for her. The love with Joey and Katherine is also very one sided. Overall I think nature wives is way less toxic and I genuinely love the thought of them together! No hate to anyone who ships Katherine and Joey this is just my opinion!

Legitimately, I actually struggle watching those sections because even in fiction, that attitude terrifies me. I don’t care about ships, I’m just super uncomfortable with Joey (the character, not the real person, I assume he’s not like that IRL) and not in a fun way tbh
See that's what I thought! Joe just glosses over her objections and blatantly ignores every time she says she doesn't love him. That's not cool, and a terrible foundation for a relationship. If Kathrine just gave up and caved into Joey's insistence, that sets a terrible tone for the rest of their relationship.
Also very cute moment that happens between Katherine and Shelby When they go to kill the wethers in Katherine's video when Shelby sees Katherine in her monster hunter gear the first time She takes a step back In amazement before she says how good Katherine looks
