    Bunting was phenomenal for the leafs. You couldn’t ask for anything better from a player making 925k. Best of luck to him in Carolina !

    All these heart and soul, gritty, hardworking guys the Leafs have let walk or traded away; Kadri, Hyman, Bunting, to a lesser extent Mason Marchment.. Yet we keep together a core of players who disappear in the playoffs and don’t play up to their contracts, it’s embarrassing, I’ve believed in them for years, I no longer believe they will ever get it done 😔

    Toronto made a mistake in letting Mike go.

      I disagree at the price he wanted he should be scoring and racking up more points on the 1st line. Bertuzzi was an upgrade. Bunting is not a bad hockey player by all means though.

    Bunting was good but i think toronto got an upgrade in tyler bertuzzi. But bunting was a delight to watch, guy always played on the edge.

    @petergreco7831 Год назад +3

    Wow, the leafs didn't even table an offer. A gritty top six player that puts up 60 points wasn't worth making an offer to. Instead we got Bertuzzi who can't stay healthy and who's going to leave after next season 😂

    Its true that the hurricanes have a better chance at a cup run. Leafs aren't close . They really need to solidify the back end and they still have holes. I also like Matthews and Marner as hockey players but not on the leafs....I just don't think they can handle the pressure here . There not core guys. Great players best suited on a team that already has an established core.

    Bunting and Svech may be in the box all the time as the refs tend to watch Svech for any infraction. As a Canes fan I am excited for Bunting coming to Carolina. The Canes do not have a true agitator. The Canes have been too nice. The lack of an agitator and toughness has been the missing links for the Canes. NOT GOAL SCORING!!!! The scoring only stops when other teams are allowed to push them around. Bunting will really get a feel for bad officiating playing for a southern non Canadian non original six team.

    Every so often a beer league player sneaks into the NHL. If they are lucky enough to play with an elite goal scorer, they pick up a lot of points and their secret is safe

    Overpaid! Bunting is a 4th liner without Auston and Marner.. Always a brat an couldn't follow the Coaches direction.

    While Michael sounds like he's fundamentally together , however his emotional regulation was definitely absent during many intense games , which subsequently cost the team as a result of his on-ice antics particularly with the officials . Once he's able to channel his passion and ferocity properly , he'll evolve into a very impactful player , unfortunately for the Leaf's , they've decided he was a liability . That said , wishing Michael much success with his new team .

      Rod Brind'Amour will get him in line. He has a way with players like Bunting and Tony DeAngelo. Probably the best type of coach for him to play for.

      Bunting has said many times in his interviews that he has no plans on changing his game, stating it's what got him to the NHL, unfortunately, it got him on the bad side of the officials too many times in Toronto, I guess we will see if he changes his thinking in Carolina, I really did like him as a Leaf

      I think his emotions won't be as high as they were in Toronto for the simple fact hes from Scarborough, Ontario... just a theory. I'll have to wait and see how it plays out in Carolina.

    • @northerngurl6178

      @@rileystone3017 I dunno, I think that's just how he plays, unless coach tells him to reel it in, I can't see that changing very much, I personally liked that about him, officiating was downright awful majority of the time, he's a really good player, refs just need to reign back their bias and let him play, be interesting to see if that happens in Carolina
