If wasting food strikes a cord do a video on the production of Styrofoam
Very quickly, Hannah...
Please remember that not all of this is 'about the money.'
A gigantic part of it is about social programming.
In fact, that's the reason for the existence of social media. Thanks! 🙂
If I remember correctly, the woman making the bread and jam from scratch was a parody on Nara Smith and she’s just gotten momentum
She’s also done one about being somewhat lobotomized
The ad portion of the video was actually satire, right? Because the pretending you received that package at your home.... nooo way. Those are the most empty house, kitchen and fridge in the world, not even filming at an Airbnb would show such a fake house 😅
Back when I was a child on the Internet in the 2000s, there was a saying, "Don't feed the trolls." I think we've forgotten that piece of wisdom.
I've gone back to saying that. Also saying report, report, report. The latest trend I'm seeing is what I call DARVO kings, young men who start stuff and then act all hurt when people clap back. I got taken in by a couple before I realized what they were doing. Now I just block.
I still say this😂
They actually feed the trolls and get paid... sad!
And it's infuriating to see people feeding them this much
The modern version is "report, block, move on" or what we really need to say "report, block, TOUCH GRASS!!"
So many people commenting need to touch grass. Please touch the grass.
Lex Delarosa (the "trad wife" that made paper) is actually a trad wife parody account. Some people don't understand that it's parody to the point that she started talking about milking her chickens to make it even more obvious. She comments on her own videos all of the time criticizing herself, saying things people that would get rage-baited would say.
It goes over people's heads so much that it's parody, to the point where she was actually invited to talk on a morning show about trad wives because they took her account literally. I was rolling 😂
I love her. Her content is so funny and over the top (on purpose.) 😂
Yes! I agree with you. She’s legitimately hilarious so me cause it’s so over the top and funny but on the flip side Nara Smith is also super over the top but she’s for real 😂
@@katieh.2517 I think Nara Smith started out for real, but now she's obviously trolling and I think it's hilarious lol
I’m not sure how this creator (Hannah) critiquing her doesn’t realize Lex is parody 😂 and btw I really like this channel and find it really important to contrast the “insanity of the internet”
Agree Lex is a parody and is fun content but she still uses rage bait because well a view is a view
To be fair to the mom that made the bread and paper in the princess dress, she didn't turn to rage bait, she turned to parody, which is something i can definitely get behind 😂
Who is she? I have been trying to find her bc she made me laugh! I just can’t seem to where I can watch more of her videos!! If you know who she is please tell me 😂
Yes! This! People who are unable to get that it's parody deserve to be rage-baited 😂 She was clearly mocking those irrealistic trad wife influencers in a funny way.
It looks like a parody of the trad wife content
I thought her dress was going to fall off her she had zero to hold up that dress and it was way too big for her.
@@aslandeacon1536lex Delarosa she’s funny
Any rage baiting videos that waste food and ingredients to make food, should be banned for eternity across all platforms.
Agree.. They should also be able to reported
And so should be muckbanks, tbh. Also disgusting, wasteful and some ppl make themself gag afterwards to stay skinny 🤢
@@clawwestfall8799 agree on that too!
And now you got ragebaited by a video about ragebaiting.
No. Banning won’t help.
Game ads use rage bait as well. They make it look like someone is finding an easy puzzle difficult. This makes people think "ugh I could do that easily!" And they download the app.
No kidding and then sometimes they'll even make it so that you have to engage with the game in some way in order to end the stupid ad, it's infuriating
And the game is just a bejeweled clone
Interesting point, never thought of it that way.
The one that really makes me headscratch is the one with the AI Snape negging the player, who is using a soldering iron for a stylus--and that's, strangely enough, not what Snape is negging them over.
@@soapygirl83fr I’m just tryna draw on ibspaint and then like its fucking “water sort” or “ball sort” where u have to put the colours back together to end the ad its so annoying 😭
I work for a food bank with our kids’ food programs. A $1 donation used to provide 4 meals; now $1 provides 3. To see so much waste is sad and irresponsible.
Are you comfortable posting a link? I'd love to donate.
Love this Influencer series baby girl. So proud of you!
This is wholesome.
We love a supportive dad 🤍
Congrats on being an excellent parent. Hannah is my Favorite youtuber! She seems so real. I love this series thanks for helping her w the channel
I read the comment “baby girl” and was thinking it was some random dude. Then I read the screen name 😂.
I love your user name, shows just how proud you are of your girl ❤❤
Honestly that making paper and crayon video is hilarious. She is not wasting anything for rage bait. And her moving like cartoon like snow white is cherry on top.
Do you know who she is? I’m actually interested to check out her page.
@@tararuge9427 no idea. Tiktok is banned in my country.
@@tararuge9427Nara smith I think
She isn’t Nara Smith, but she is parodying Nara Smith.
Lex Delarosa! I love her 😂 I think her stuff is clever satire and not really what I would classify as “rage baiting.” Especially because her videos don’t create waste; she uses everything she makes. She’s said before that she just loves baking and doing crafts with her kids, so when people started hating on her, she leaned into it and it evolved into parody.
I think 5 minute crafts started this - remember their videos on Facebook? People rage-shared them EVERYWHERE and it came to a point where we realized they must be doing this on purpose.
Can't stand that crappy channel and all the other content farms. I can't tell you how many of those stupid channels I've either blocked or have pushed the do not recommend button on. Some of their stuff is so dangerous.
Agree! Remember the one where they made white strawberries by washing them in bleach? No sane person would recommend that 😃
Agree
They certainly helped make it very popularized! It’s been a thing for pretty much as long as the Internet has been a thing and even before that (an easy example is tabloids in magazines) it’s just that it’s on such a large scale now and very mainstream. I think it was previously mostly sequestered to niche media, interests, audiences, regions, etc.
So true!
OK. That "my toddler wanted to color so I made some paper" is some Kauffman level, hilarious trolling. That woman is a genius.
As if any toddler can wait that long for paper.
Yeah, that's just hilarious :D
yeah I love the one that she cuts the grass with scissors HAHAHA
I actually LOVE this content creator because she is making money off of the haters, but some of her voiceovers don't match the videos, especially when she spoke about losing one of her parents due to sickness and how that affected her, while she's doing these robot Barbie Trad Wife actions.
who is kauffman??
I can't even handle a cashier or server being a little bit annoyed with me, so the idea of intentionally baiting thousands of people into hating me is just... I mean, I wouldn't be able to sleep. Ever. I firmly believe rage-baiters are, to varying degrees, sociopaths.
i agree!
Agree 😅
Yes! It would make me SO uncomfortable 😅😅
Oh gosh I'm the same way
These people just don't care
ngl the gut healthy girl is genuinely sooo funny to me like the sarcasm kills me 😭😭😭
We scoff at how older people can't tell they are being scammed by emails and callers. But younger people are definitely unable to tell which content is real and which is fake. We automatically believe anything on social media, and think we could never fall for it. But with rage bait, clickbait, AI, etc. It's clear we can't tell the difference.
I think some of the kids are more naive than the elders (like me), or they don't care because it's so common and they don't see the problem.
I wonder if this will eventually swing into not believing anything and overlooking problematic people thinking it's fake.
You are spot on!
Some time ago there was this narrative of "digital natives", as if just by growing up with a computer/tablet/phone in your hand made you not just able to use it at a basic level, but also magically gave you a deeper understanding. It doesn't, and this is one of the consequences.
In my experience the younger folks have much more awareness. My son and his peers won't engage, they immediately report and block.
Every time I feel the urge to be angry at a creator, I report the video, and block said creator. I have known long before social media that you cannot explain something that should be understood by default. So, I either scroll by, or if it's especially awful - report/block
This is the correct response. I hope that soon enough people will become wise enough to stop engaging with influencers like that so their content just becomes irrelevant and they have to go away.
I will be implementing this. What a great tactic.
Yep. Report, block, move on. I don't want their content coming across my feed even accidentally once I know what their game is.
Report, block, or mark as not interested as appropriate 👍
And move on as quickly as possible 🎉
I love this approach. We should just refuse to give them the attention they so desperately want. Enough people doing this, they have no option other than go away
The length of the nails makes me more angry than the coffee ever could😂😂😂
And exactly how does it go unmentioned of how they personal hygiene?! 😮
The worst part about the minifridge video is that is actually a great idea if you are fostering kids! This is your fridge, with your food, you can access it whenever you want and we even put some things you specifically like and request. For kids that come from food insecurity or just forbidden from eating or accessing the fridge this is a huge deal. To then turn it up into a rage bait video makes fellow foster perents scrap the idea
It would be better not to teach selfishness but show how a normal family acts and the kids can depend on their parents
@@susanlovesjava4961 foster kids need space and time to heal. I
To the children this would benefit the most it doesn't teach selfishness, instead it shows them that their needs are important and that having food and space of their own is a right. As they progress and heal their wounds they can learn to depend on their family and share
But instead of giving the kids cheese and crackers, washed and cut fruit, chopped veg and dip, deli meat, salami, nuts, olives, etc so they learn to eat actual food for good nutrition they're given processesd garbage. Really sad.
Such a good point!
When healthy parents bring home a baby every wine fuss cry and coo gets a “yes” from the healthy parents. But children adopted from foster care were usually neglected and so they need s as many yeses as possible. Many of the adopted kiddos I know have issues around food because they didn’t ever have enough food. Maybe this mom has taken it a little on the crazy side but the idea of a “yes” drawer literally changed our life for the better with our adopted kiddos… (and let’s face it most individually packed shelf stable food is not healthy…)
People need to learn how to simply not engage. the sooner we all learn to just ignore this kind of content, the sooner they'll ACTUALLY disappear.
It also helps to report content or use the "not interested" button.
You believe too much in the system. It’s not designed to be effective. These options are only designed to make you feel like you have some kind of control over your social media consumption
It’s so hard. I’m definitely someone who feels compelled to engage. I have a mantra of “my opinion is not needed.”
EXACTLY!
💯 it's hard, but I try
what I love about your channel is I can be mad about the internet without engaging with the people who make me mad on the internet.
exactly lol
Same. I will never watch these or seek them out, but I'm a petty lil' gremlin who wants to be mad at people anyways.
Now I can do it without feeling like I'm polluting the environment or something by engaging.
Seriously, we are second-hand rage baiting here. Love it!
YES.
The only place where I will look at rage bait at all is Reddit. They are not getting my view on a platform, where it makes them actual money.
I also love watching Michelle Mc Daniels for all the juicy internet feuds.
side note on the food "rage bait" videos. A friend of mine told me that most of those are actually kink content. Anytime someone is rubbing stuff on the counter, playing with the food in their hands, or multiple shots of inserting one food into another. Like the people being mad is another side effect of what is definitely strange to watch but they aren't making it with those people in mind...
Yes some of it is definitely kink content! Especially ones that are like... Edging the viewer. Like on lives "ohh I'll show you what it looks like when we get more likes and views!" As they're getting their hands absolutely disgusting in some gooey food. Someone tried to do a tiktok series on it last year and she kept getting sent such disgusting stuff that she quit.
Yeah. I was thinking of those videos where they use a sink as a mixing bowl and mix with their hands. It's usually a young, attractive woman. I figure it's somewhere in the cross section of rage bait and fetish content
I’ve noticed a big increase in rage baiting lately. It’s sickening
The opposite of love isn't hate, it's indifference.
Ignoring ragebaiting influencers is the best thing to do to so that their channels suffer.
on the flip side, i love that they've cheated the system, goddamn. They're not abusing anyone, most of these are women being slightly annoying at first and then they just amp that up and get a load of engagement and $ from people that don't know how to scroll past. Queen shit honestly.
💯
It’s bad enough that people who are adults that know what life before for the Internet is like or judging this content being able to discern from reality and BS. But to a child this is actually dangerous into their perception of reality and healthy living.
Very true. Unfortunately it won’t stop other people from engaging with the rage baiting content.
But it is entertaining for the viewers so they won't stop. It makes them feel superior and that's a lovely feeling.
The scary ones for me are the people posting 'cleaning' content where they put like 50 cleaning products in their toilets, often mixing bleach and ammonia which creates a toxic gas. Like, yeah they're probably not actually using those chemicals, but someone else emulating them (either for ragebait content or to actually clean) could cause serious harm or death.
That ALWAYS bugs me, that and the stupid colour challenges they do, I don't interact but I do cringe
I remember seeing that toilet cleaning one. It was so frustrating that I wanted to comment so bad but something told me it was supposed to do that so I walked away quietly haha.
so many people have died creating literal mustard gas doing these aesthetic cleanings. using more than 1 product is not going to make your toilet or bathroom cleaner, it just looks like it’s working harder to clean. regardless, always have proper ventilation even when cleaning properly. never good to inhale chemicals directly but also NOT MUSTARD GAS
Yeah, I'm surprised she didn't show that one.
Yeah that’s what bothers me - the influencer may be faking, but that doesn’t mean real harm isn’t done. That makes it worse.
Also, i actually LOVE that one lady who does the bread and paper and looks like a disney princess 😂😂😂 i dont know how some people would actually think she is being serious 😂
I like her too
Ikr? The first one maybe but the paper one was way too obvious to not be noticed 🤣
The lady who made homemade jam and bread for her kids was actually hilarious good for her 😂
I love her..she s funny
Please cover fitness influencers and their lies about "getting toned in 7 days" and exercises that will "snatch your waist." SO many people do not understand that these are lies.
dr mile just had a fitness model who got an unlicensed skin eating disease!! but yeah, she said they all get procedures. Which anyone with eyes over 20 should know loll
Dr. Mike* I meant :(
Dr Drew was already problematic, but now he's hooked up with that vshred garbage. Talk about nonsense.
Justina Ercole and TeamForNeverLean are two who've debunked some fitness influencers on YT (cough, Blogilates, cough). Highly recommend. They break down why with their qualified fitness training experience. Now I follow Sydney Cummings who's legit. Might try Caroline Girvan again once my endurance for more intense workouts is back on track.
THIS!!!! "Spot" fat loss is.not.a.thing!
Right? I am so confused when people insist that one can target body parts explicitly. No?? You can't??? Like how would that even work???
Another way I’ve noticed that influencers rage bait is by putting text on their videos and you barely have a chance to read it. It leads to people re-watching the video to try to pause at the appropriate spot and comment about their frustration.
Yup. And they misspell a lot of words. One of my favorite influencer started doing that or she woukd say things like "I needs to brush my face and wash my teeth. " I stopped following or supporting right away. I do know she lost all her followers so it didn't work for her.
Good point!!
omg
I never realized that! Wow!
Plus, people will comment on it, then get notified of other comments, go back to the video to read those comments, sometimes re-comment, and sometimes re-watch the video to remind themselves of why they where mad, perpetuating the cycle.
All the salt from the Pacific Ocean 😭😂
Your work exposing what so many are gullible of is SO important. The hours (days and weeks, honestly) of people investing time in every manner of negative input/output is beyond sad. If people would just ‘get a life’ and be busy about every good thing the world would be much better! Thanks again, truly!
And then influencers are like: "I'm getting so much hate! Please stop! Be kind!" 🙄🙄
Exactly
that's so true
Like SHUT UP YOU"RE THE ONE MAKING THE RAGE BAIT AND GETTING HATE FOR IT
They do it on purpose so people can keep commenting
Lol I think that’s another form of ragebait though
"In a country that doesn't discriminate between fame and infamy, the latter presents itself as plainly more achievable." Lionel Shriver 'We Need to Talk About Kevin'
Interesting you should quote Shriver! In recent years, she's largely taken to writing rage-baiting fantasy parables about the dangers of "wokeness". She's described transgenderism as a "social mania", thinks immigrants are destroying the UK, and endorsed Ron Desantis for president.
We Need to Talk About Kevin is a great book though!
Heh, now I'm gonna hit the audiobooks!

I've worked as a content writer before and the company actually taught us to rage bait to play the algorithm. They did it so much to the point of lying. The only reason they told us to scale back on the exaggerations was because some contents were reported as false/fake and taken down by fb. So yeah, rage bait is as you say, an actual strategy to trick people into giving their attention.
honestly I like the "homemade" paper and crayons for the kids. its a great project and teaches the kids how these things are made on a small scale.
This is why I’m trying to stay off social media. My life already enrages me enough, i dont need influencers doing it for me
I hope you know you deserve to be happy. It’s your right on this earth. Hope things are picking up for you ✨
Yes exactly why I left so many apps and sites. The Internet is just a wasteland of algorithms and AI bots. It's dead.
I think the problem is that there are still children, and individuals, who aren't able to distinguish rage-bait, and the algorithm feeds off of their ignorance. A massive hoard of 5-18 year old might not understand the consequences of interacting with a rage-bait video. It gets passed around and the video shoots up. Unless there's some way to filter the videos from ignorant viewers there's no way to stop it from being profitable. Heck, half the time the video isn't obviously rage bait until partway through and a person might watch it and think "What did I just watch?" too late.
So, basically, it's awesome that you found a way to protect yourself, but it's not really an effective strategy for combating the rage-farmers. :(
I think that’s a fabulous goal. I don’t think I could completely give up social media, but I have been making a concerted effort to stay out of the comment sections because most of them, especially on Facebook. It seems are just vile. I’m lol because I literally just commented that I don’t go to comment sections, but I have significantly reduced how often I read them.
@@ToriE1073 I still have a few but I rarely if ever post anything. I only keep FB for the Marketplace and IG because it's the only place I have to talk to a few friends. Other than that, I have nothing and don't interact with anyone lol
The stuff that pisses me off about it is the wastage. Especially when there are so many around the world going hungry and suffering from extreme poverty.
I was just about to comment this! Rage baiting completely aside, the real crime is the wastefulness of the food these people buy - primarily the people who make those rage bait recipes, because I’d like to think that the first mom rage baiting her cheaper by the dozen kids’ food hauls for their mini fridges will get eaten somehow. But the recipes? Likely all thrown out which is just awful.
I try not to think about it. At the end of the day, corporations and businesses waste more food than households and people like this are outliers, not the norm. Not eating that bag of pasta will not feed a hungry child.
@@UdontknowmiI am in the same boat, I’m widely unaffected by rage bait food waste videos. I worked in the food industry for a brief time and what I experienced is what made me genuinely hot with rage. The rage bait videos are nothing, and if people think that’s the epitome of evil wastage, we’re screwed.
That part!!!! People are dying of hunger or can barely feed their children yet thes influencers get paid to basically laugh in those same peoples face😢
You need to worry more about how restaurants throw out insane amounts of food bevause of huge serving sizes and overordering foods. Im Australian and countries like mine and america honestly consume too much of EVERYTHING @@kristinagerth4203
22:47 I believe that this lady was intentionally sarcastic from the beginning, but realized she needed to pump it up. The "making paper and crayons from paper and crayons" is just ridiculously funny 😂
Btw: love your "Trad-wives"-video!
Yeah. I think she’s making fun of creators like Nara Smith.
The thing that I find extremely sad is that HATE is that rampant. That people are quick to tell someone what they hate about them vs what they love. The enemy is at work. Why do you think people are so angry & depressed? This is sad & sickening. LOVE your neighbor. Period.
What does the good book say? Love your neighbor as (long as they are identical to) yourself? Isn't that the correct translation?
@@catherineblair1221 Close, but It says LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF. Means love your neighbor as much as you love yourself. The translation is literal. People don’t take it as such, but it’s clear
I’m not gonna lie I think the one with the baby and the homemade paper is actually very very funny! Like anyone who thinks she’s being serious at this point is giving her very well-deserved attention 😂😂😂
and she is doing NOTHING harmful or unethical. She is literally the opposite of all these food wasters! I actually like that she leaned in to the whole disney princess mannerisms because it makes it obvious how unrealistic it is while still actually doing the thing like making the paper. Gave me a great idea for a fun project to do someday with my own kiddo. i've only ever seen it done with blue jeans but i like the egg cartons way more!
It brought back fond memories of my siblings and me "making our own paper" from the scraps in the bottom of the recycling bin. And yes, it was extremely obvious it was non-serious. I think at best, it can be soothing in some of the same ways that the coloring videos are.
I actually like her, lol. She could sell that homemade paper and crayons. Idiots pay lots of money for that and it's been recycled.
My favorite part was the sad beige baby aspect where the tablecloth is beige, the kids are dressed in beige. Points off for the bright yellow boots and colorful crayons. She’ll have to work on that.
Ya I actually really like her videos, most people in the comments understand it’s just satire
People who make food abominations should be forced to eat the whole thing.

I thought I'd mention that some of these creators making "rage bait" content that is obviously a joke, makes people angry because people automatically assume women aren't capable of making jokes, so they think they're being serious, therefore get angry.
“…so you look up 3 hours later and think, ‘Where the hell did my evening go?!’”
YES! 😂
Rage and fear bait are things that news platforms have been monetizing for YEARS, so it isn't a surprise that influencers are doing the same thing
So real. I remember when that Nicole arbour lady was purposefully triggering people with her “dear fat people” video back when people weren’t as used to seeing people expressing “edgy takes” so publicly for views it used to be a weird Reddit 4chan/forum thing for attention starved people
Good point!!
And celebrities! Publicity stunts!
No kidding. It's why tabloid rags are still on supermarket shelves and trust in the news media is at a low point.
they’ll keep doing it as long as people keep falling for it. fair play to them! it’s up to the consumer to cultivate media literacy.
I am so impressed that these people can do this. My anxiety would be through the roof if "everyone" hated on me.
A lot of them don’t show their faces so theres no real danger and mostly just views = money.
@@biggie395 Sure. But my brain would still die slowly knowing everyone hated on me.

this series brings us such important discussions and is so well produced, it’s so clear you put so much time into planning which videos to showcase for these points. I used to only ever watch your anti MLM videos but now I am binging these and I’m obsessed. great content Hannah!!
I agree that rage baiting with food is horrible. Especially when there are families in the world who can't even get enough food to feed their children. It's so sad 😞 I don't understand how people can do these things.
If you’re talking about Africa then you’ve been fooled just like these influencers think they influence us. Those old charity commercials were rare, isolated cases of deliberately keeping food from people to solicit funds and also due to conflict fueled by the west. Crops are abundant all over Africa. No one in Africa is starving.
Nevermind the world. In our own country
Jojo Siwa's rebranding is a good example of Rage Bating
Celebrity rage baiting will still make money , her management most probably thought that she won’t be able to have a long term serious career in singing so they went with this route so they can get quick money and popularity whether negative or positive doesn’t matter as long has they are making money.
Yes exactly, she said it in a interview that she did the dance like that because she knew people would make fun of it and watch it a lot of time to make fun of her.

She's getting a ton of attention!
No 😂😂 that’s too funny tho
What concerns me in the foster-adopt family is that they are promising stuff to children who have trauma, and then taking that away from them. Plus, they are taking children who have trauma, putting them on the internet, and then exposing them to rage-baiting. It's bad enough for any child, but for one which has a trauma background??? Absolutely not.
Yeah it’s so exploitative of those kids, horrible

This is such a great video. Honestly I’m so sick and tired of rage baiting. It makes me lose hope and faith in humanity. I keep coming across these weird channels that seem to be promoting rage bait and keep reporting them but RUclips isn’t doing anything about it.
When I worked in retail we would get reviews, and I quickly learned people are quick to complain but slow to compliment, rage baiting just feeds on this concept.
It's the same with restaurants. People don't feel inclined to leave a review if they have a positive experience since that is what they expected/they don't have the time to be bothered. However a negative experience immediately warrants the effort of leaving a complaint/review. Which is probably why a lot of restaurants have to actively ask for reviews after each table.
kinda like how people say nothing about one good thing (I assume because it's something most people expect thus shows no appreciation) but won't shut up about one slightly bad thing
Because people like to feel smart
@@imdani4997 I'm the opposite, I love to leave good reviews because I want to show appreciation, but never a bad review unless it's really egregious. It's hard out there and if I can make someone feel appreciated, I'd like to ☺️

I think its on people to NOT TAKE THE BAIT. If it stops working, it will stop.
Ikr? If there ia demand, there will be someone who will offer it.
I mean, the drawing book woman got more attention by that little mistake. So why wouldn't she do that. Some viewers will feel sympathy for her for getting all the hate for apparently no reason and they might sympathy buy her product. So I am 100 percent on board with the idea that viewers drive this content at this point.
Definitely, I agree but I think it can be very hard, especially if the person is doing something which is actually harmful, like the couple who threw the paint everywhere. It's easy to fall into the trap of trying to make them understand that what they're doing isn't okay. We just need to accept that there's no reasoning with these people and it's probably better to just report the video.
@@mowgli7_ also for the cookie lady, those terminally online people were hating on a pretty benign video. So props to her for being able to piss those people off even more and make money off of it, they caused it
You can't change human nature.
The problem is the social networks and their toxic positivity policy, that don't properly punish negative interactions, or even don't even have an option to express dislike.
I came across your channel by random algorithm magic (not my normal fare) and found myself relieved that there are other folks seeing the influencer insanity trending in our society.
Luckily, I recognized the intent of 'rage baiting' many years ago, thanks to working adjacent to the political arena. I recognize it immediately and simply choose not watch or invest.
Great series. You've earned my subscription with this series. Well done-- and thoughtful.
When I was a kid, I made paper just like that with my mom and sister. It was actually quite fun. We'd make different colors and sometimes add little flowers.
"Is the coffee in the room with us" had me laughing for real
“Americans eating as if they had public health care.” has just been nominated for Best comment of the year. 😂
😂😂😂
one of the reason why ragebait is so effective for American creators. europeans/australians/canadians are literally the best audience to ragebait. they’ll believe anything that will fit with their superior complex over americans

Loving this new series, Hannah!!! I Whenever I encounter rage bait in the wile, I immediately block them bc I share your sentiment : I think it's a cheap shot and very dishonorable. Im so glad I can comment about them here instead, on a channel I love and support!
I’m not on really any other social media, so seeing this is so illuminating!! This series has really helped me understand concepts I was grappling with. Thank you!! I wish u had your bravery in dissecting things like this.
Your background in education is evident! Thank you 🫶🏼
I love that smug lady. She looks like she is putting actual effort into her videos--and not wasting food or doing anything dangerous.
yah it’s funny how she unironically is rage baited by her (very clearly) satirical crunchy mom content. just goes to show, people will feel targeted/triggered by that one particular topic even if they’re apparently aware of it like she is. 😅
Haha, exactly. I HATE rage-baiting but by the end of that segment, I was like “I think I love her”.
@tapioca23 I think her content is a far clearer case of satire than almost all other rage bait.
@@schoo9256 Yes! Although the giant coffee lady felt pretty satirical to me too
She's one of my favorites on IG. I think it's pretty obvious that it's meant as satire/comedy, and she even trolls herself in the comments.
I think "making mistakes deliberately" is another example for the subtle version of this. Misspellings in instagram posts, verbal errors in videos etc.
The misspellings and mispronouncing make me cringeeee
So true!
Donald Trump does this when he posts on the Internet. When he had Twitter as president, he'd constantly post misspelled words. Either he has the brain of a 10 year old,.or he does it on purpose to rile people up. Both are not good.

You've never owned a Kindle have you? 😂😂 After six months it seems to be intent on creating a new language!
I don't use it to comment online! 😂
true :D
Fascinating. So THAT’S why some videos have this weird edge. And, btw, you are one of very few people I can sit and watch talking for an extended period of time. I think it’s partly how you look and partly how interesting your dialogue is. Kudos to you.
Hannah! You have rage-baited me by making me rage at these influencers’ rage baits 🤣 Love your channel. So interesting!!
I hate it when content creators get into the trend of titling their videos "I'm quitting." And nothing else, but the video turns out to just be them talking about quitting something completely random and nothing to do with quitting their platform.
And then the ads that are 'trying to figure out a puzzle' and the caption says something stupid like "I just can't figure this out! Only 2% can solve this puzzle!" And it's just the person in the ad intentionally failing at the game/puzzle.
Immediate block from me cause it's soooo annoying!
I hear you .I especially hate this behaviour on couple channels .They title videos like"I got caught cheating"Or something stupid and then the video is either a dumb prank or a QnA video like what
"
Yeah plus the increase of it when Matpat released his retirement. He's really not retired as much as he's not the voiceover that gives you a plot summary of what happened in whatever analog horror that's trending
The block button is hugely underused.
Oh, I hate this.... I get why youtubers do it, obviously, but the most popular ones clickbaiting like that don't even need to because they already get a lot of regular views it's just greedy tbh
The joke will be on them when people unsubsidized without watching the video, because they think you are quitting.
Leaving social media (except YT) was the best thing I’ve ever done.

This channel reflects my thoughts often!! I’m glad someone made a channel like this!
11 kids with a mini fridge!?! But when I asked my mom for one at 15 years old she looked at me crazy and said "Are you high???" *I was*
You're mom's a legend lol
The cost of the electric bill would be bonkers
Well, at least you admitted to being high 😂
She's an awful person. That's Dougherty Dozen. Those children are being abused with sugar. I can't believe foster and adopted children have no help. The system had failed them
Your mom is awesome.
People's values, integrity, and ethics are so distorted that it grosses me out. The Internet is so valuable, and in many ways, it makes the world better, BUT it is also making so many people extremely idiotic.
It’s really hard to navigate too. I don’t want it to come across my feed AT ALL. A lot of the time I’ll catch it when it’s too late and I’m like DAMN THEY GOT ME 😂I just want to see dogs, food, and funny/wholesome stuff 😭 I’m fine tuning with not giving it any watch time, blocking, and clicking “not interested” or “don’t recommend ”
Agree 100%!!!!! I’m so glad she’s covering these topics!!!
I enjoy your listening to your ability to think. I have often thought the same things but with no experience, 6 kids whom I homeschool, and a very tight budget I have no time to discuss.... But I am glad you do!!
Thanks so much for making me aware of this. I have fallen into the rage trap numerously, but now I can recognize it, cool off, and leave that content without any further engagement. ❤
Dear Hannah,
I am an English teacher (a non- native speaker) who has stopped "enjoying language" over time. I even got depressed thinking about the amount of words I've forgotten in both my mother tongue and English after being the best student in my class and pursuing knowledge in any way I could, that I stopped paying attention to how I expressed myself and it's been going on for a long time now.
Your eloquence and the way you are able to articulate your thoughts with ease have inspired me and rekindled that old spark in me, so here I am, doing some vocabulary exercises while listening to you talk. This is a beautiful gift you have, to inspire, inform and motivate people to be better, do better and make better choices, perhaps in ways you might not expect. Thank you ❤
What a sweet comment, I smiled after reading it and it wasn’t even for me lol. You deserve to feel proud of yourself for pursuing something that is intellectually stimulating and that you enjoy! I wish you best of luck as you continue to learn for yourself and teach others. 🩷
Awe, I love this comment! You go girl!!
As a non native speaker English teacher myself I can see where are you coming from. I must say I get frustrated when watching videos of mostly people from the usa that have such a poor eloquence and Hannah is refreshing to listen to also to remember myself that I love English language
Even for me, listen to her is so good and smooth! I am Portuguese native speaker and English is my second language, but when I first heard she talking I felt the same way! 😀
Yes. I thought the same! I love listening to her not just for the content but for the vocabulary and language!
Can we just appreciate where we are as humanity right now…like, people are literally doing lifestyle things (making coffee, packing a bag, sitting aesthetically etc etc) and these people are getting paid better than doctors, nurses, carers, vets, fkin BINMEN like these people that make our world go round are making next to nothing and then THIS?!?! I think I’m losing my mind fr
Sitting aesthetically 😂
That is why I deleted Instagram. I'm angry not on the influencers which obviously have no morals or honesty just money in mind. But the people who is fallowing them which is us 😂 we making this world crazy absolute shambles. We are paying for idiots jumping in and out of dresses watching how they are eating and so on instead of trying to finish this nonsense and going back to normal jobs and have some morals for god sake.
But how long can they continue? I've only really watched original content videos since 2020 and have become bored with most of them. How many times can you watch someone declutter their closet or clean my kitchen with me? I mean if you are having to pop out a baby or buy a new house every other year to have relevant content, you might not be in the best career.
@@erikapeters1984 yeah I’m not mad at like 90% of them they are just taking advantage of the social climate I get it but it’s crazy!! I look at these people doing virtually nothing and I think god help us if we have some kind of apocalypse/outbreak situation and we have to rely on influencers and “celebrities” to help us 💀💀💀
@@JLJ2730 yeah I honestly don’t watch any of that kind of stuff I find it so boring I just don’t get it! Where’s the incentive for the next generation to become skilled at anything? Kids are just gonna be like “I wanna be an influencer and do nothing and get paid for it” feel like we’re on a slippery slope 🫣
😊i am over the moon with your honesty!!! I am trying to teach my kids that majority of the crap they watch is a lie or fakes and they are finally starting to see it since ive made them watch a couple of your videos today. Now im not crazy or just a mean horrible mother. I wish i would have found you sooner. I didnt know you existed til today you just popped up in my recommended section.thank you so much. I love this content
Please do more of these influencer videos!! They are so good! I don’t follow any of that MLM stuff but these videos about influencers are awesome!!
I remember back in the day people would get made fun of for sharing personal stuff on social media but now EVERYONE does it and get paid. Insane
I tell my 9 yr old this all the time (I’m 30) that growing up our parents told us never to share any kind of personal info anywhere online, now people are like yeah here’s my name number address & where I’ll be going out of town for the next few weeks! Blows my mind
No more "I'm 12 and" comments!
I’m also letting my children know how to be careful with what you share online. And for real people now days share absolutely unnecessary things and gets millions of views. Like I don’t need to see what you’re having for breakfast Suzanne! But now people are like “follow me for a day of getting my butthole waxed” ugh the internet is annoying these days.
Yup nothing is funny anymore 😔
@jalapeno1119 Everyone born after 2000 will tell you their EXACT age location and school name like…Miss ma’am stop telling ADULTS on the internet you are 14. 💀 Did no one teach you anything??!
The princess mom took me out when she upped the neck game. I couldn't stop laughing every time she came on screen ngl, it's comedic gold now 😭😭😭
I want to watch her videos so I can laugh lol 😂
Thank you for this series of videos. It adds value, it makes us think. And that it not at all common in online content.
I just discovered this channel today and all I can say I already love this girl!! I love her honestly and straight forward points! I prefer a bitter true then a beautiful lie! I personally think and is my own opinion, being as natural you can be , including with your defects, your downs sides, would bring you the real peoples who also are honest and appreciate the honesty..Fake is just apearence, superficial mind etc.. honestly, not for me!
You have another subscribe girl, keep being honest, keep being yourself.Blessings!
The only ones that really bother me are the ones who USE their children. That’s gross, irresponsible and abusive.
Yes! It makes me think of Ruby Frankie abusing her kids. Not only did she make a ton of money off views and angry engagement, she also gaslighted people by trying to make them think it was their own fault for choosing to watch. With so many people making fake videos involving their kids as rage bait, concerned viewers are learning to just look away and ignore it. Sadly, the videos of the kids actually being abused are ignored. It's sickening.
And those channels are the ones that get millions subscribers soo sad. Most of them are bragging about their Children especially the one's who married men of colour and have biracial Children
I absolutely despise rage baiting content but omg the lady making papers and crayons was hilarious lmao
I hate when I have this rage feeling watching stupid reels, shorts or whatever. I go in the comments section and read few comments and then I snap because it's BS. I used to take time commenting but now I don't have this energy for these internet mastermind. I comment only if I like the content. The worst are the ones that makes you think they're just dumb, but ultimately they know exactly what they are doing and it's very tricky to not react. 😂 Thanks for debunking all of those phoney strategies to get views, reach, reactions. Love your series !
News sites do this. They purposely use the wrong celebrity's picture or name. Misspell something obvious. I'm convinced it's to get engagement.
Not gonna lie I absolutely love the sense of humor the woman who made homemade bread has. Her response by starting to make her own paper when the kids want to draw is top tier comedy 😂
I honestly love her because she knows she's ticking people off.
Yeah I commented on that above, once that just becomes your persona to me that falls into satire and satire is a long standing form of comedy. I really dislike rage baiting but the second I accidentally stumbled on this account and looked through all the videos it felt different. Most of the comments are people laughing at how this or that video is so satirical.
Yeah, her stuf obviously is satire. Shes not wasting anything, its a neat craft for her and her children still get something out of it.
Me too. Her and the icecream sandwich lady are both just being funny. I think it’s an exaggeration to call it rage bait
She probably had the kids help with the paper and crayons. I did stuff like that with my daughter. Difference is, it really didn't look pretty🤣
More people need to know about the "don't recommend channel" under the ellipses. Select that, block the garbage and move on. Let them scream into the void.
I hit that button on nearly every other reel that pops up on instagram. Lol. I've laughed wondering how many I have racked up on my "not interested" list.
I use both buttons + block ad and they don't seem to work. It's annoying.
An adding to block channels is also a blessing, especially if you use RUclips search.
I do that as well. It’s extremely handy and I usually won’t see similar videos in my feed again for a while.
I think yt even uses this to show more of that specific content you have asked not to be shown lol. Like I specifically block celebrities and celebrity related content but it seems to show up anyway lol.
Thank you for pointing this out . I totally fall for it and didn't even realize. There's even a channel I subscribe to that I will no longer because of this practice. Thank you for your commentary!
Girl you have opened my eyes!, I always fall into rage baiting
it won't happen again
The paint one is worse than you realise - they obviously loosened the lids and then put them back on the shelf before they started filming. Paint can lids don't just fall off in mid air like that - paint was splashing everywhere before they even hit the floor.

This is why I am really happy I got rid of Tiktok. I cannot stand the rage baiters and the fake influencers.
I watch cookery videos. I've found them to be benign.
i have spent exactly zero seconds of my life on tiktok. never even saw it

Can you expose beauty influencers? I’m floored how insane the makeup industry is doing so well and it has so much to do with beauty influencers online. Makeup. Skin care.
I hope she does! I hate when the ad is for a skincare item, yet the person is CLEARLY wearing makeup in the "after" photo. It's gross!
@@smf0427its even sneakier than that! they tout a skincare product but get facials every week

The one of the mom with 11 kids really kills me. She used to be a normal mom making normal lunches as her start. She had a great message about adoption and love. Now she's just money hungry and using the kids for money :(
people getting paid $20 grand a month to mukbang. super morbidly obese diabetics binging online for thousands of dollars and fame. just gross.
I just got to your Chanel, and I’m obsessed. Love how you shows us the absurd things on TikTok and also respect the creators ❤️ love from Brasil 🇧🇷
“Influencers” are the worst. The only thing they influence is my gag reflex. They are absolutely ridiculous.
I love the homemade disney mum 🤣 I had not seen her before. But I love that she has found a way to take advantage trolls without having to feed her children junk or instead exploiting her children like others. And the fact she does make time to do these things is admirable. Bless her !
Lol she's managing to rage-bait while actually reducing waste instead of contributing to it!
I agree with you, she's not hurting anyone and she's putting significant effort into her content. As long as people (especially new mums) understand it's satire and not something to aspire to!
She is amazing hahah
That's a good point! Hadn't thought of it that way. The paper making part reminded me of trying out a similar project in Girl Scouts or as an at-home science project (but with newspaper). I just remember being disappointed it came out grey instead of white.
23:28 HER FACE PUTTING THE CRAYONS INTO THE OVEN IS LIKE "hehehe, yessss make me rich you little rage gremlins 😈"
Honestly, that's what I love about her. Her videos are pretty obviously satire at this point but she also ends up making some pretty cool things in the end. like the paper. It's not wasteful it's creative, the kids get something out of it, she's getting her bag, I can't be mad.
that creator is very clearly a parody of nara smiths videos and taking it so seriously is silly
😂😂😂
Thank you for explaining why pimple-poppers do not empty the client’s pores completely. They get a lot of comments for that! 😂
I always knew there was something off about these types of videos. I stopped watching them when they come across my feed. YOU are the reason I will leave a reply now when I see a post or video that is intentionally rage baiting.
Waste is what gets me. It really speaks to the character of these people
I watched Dougherty dozen when she first started, way back. But when she started showing the kids medications and told the world about their medical conditions, I stopped. No hate watching, no comments. I'm not putting another cent in her pocket. I do feel very sad for her kids though. They are being exploited and neglected.
Same, I enjoyed her comment when she started but I got more and more uncomfortable with how much of her kids lives she was showing, and how she reacted to genuine concerns from comments and had to block her, I hope the kids get out okay
I recently watched another RUclipsr do a deeper dive into this channel. I can't remember who (maybe CC Suarez or Kiki Chanel), but it was part of a series about bad internet parents, and it was so heartbreaking to hear about how the "mother" has exploited those kids and their medical issues.
I feel bad for N and D being torn apart due to her greedy arse.
She took her rage baiting to the next level when she discussed her former Foster daughter's SH and smirked and scoffed about it like she was making fun of her. I know this because I saw someone do a video on the stuff she does. The lowest scum of the earth to exploit and then humiliate a child like that.
Her content has become some boring. How many times can you watch someone make a muffin board 😂
I am loving this series. I just have to say, the mini fridge restock for the 11 kids is hilarious. I don’t know why that made me laugh so hard 😂😂😂
