Special Investigation: EX Risen Chameleos Vs. Adrenaline Hammer - 特別討究 傀異克服オオナズチ ハンマー ソロ【サンブレイク】

EX Risen Chameleos will forever stay one of my favorite monsters and fights in the series. An amazing design, cool environment change and colors, amazing and silly animations, cool invisibility gimmick, extensive moveset, great and fair difficulty.
It is by far the monster the developers put the most effort in in this game, at least in quality of its fight. Other fights seem much more impressive both visually and combat-wise such as Amatsu, but for me Risen Chameleos just has that thing that clicks with me, it's such a perfect fight.
For one of my last videos of Sunbreak, I wanted to revisit this fight one last time using Hammer, at its maximum difficulty, using Adrenaline, no buddies, and no followers, as a way to prove to myself I can overcome this monster this way, if I like him that much.
Really the only thing I dislike about Risen Chameleos is its left-right tongue swipe move, it comes out so quick and I fainted so many times to it lmao. There's also the ultimate with the blobs of poison everywhere followed by the double laser, you'll see in this video I always coward away from this move with Wirebugs because I just don't want to take any risks.
My heart was beating in every run I used Adrenaline in this quest. I just love this monster so much and, in the future, if I ever want to for some reason boot the Sunbreak engine to play again, it will probably be just to fight EX Risen Chameleos again.
My next video will be a rematch against another one of my favorite Special Investigation monsters, but I will use Strength Hammer.

I absolutely loved the mixing in this video. Muted music for when Chameleos is in Vanish state, a more wild variation when Chameleos is in Risen Mode. This is like my favorite video of yours (I also am a Chameleos fan tbh)

so wait does risen chamelos always appear behind you? is it the same for normal chamelos?
or did you do some god level manipulation

It's random, Risen Chameleos will either do a jump to your left or right side, or do a jump behind you after you trigger the stagger. The jump to left/right always has it spit two blobs of poison to your sides, followed by the big beam swipe. The jump behind you always has it do the triple poison burp/double poison burp+slam.
Fighting it many many times, I just got used to being able to easily tell which one it will do and follow it. This is helped by the motion of dust on the floor among other things.
