- What a goddamn adrenaline rush this run was.
Nervermind, every single run against this thing was an adrenaline rush. One of the few fights in the whole series that made me feel like I was the prey, not the Hunter.
When I saw that it was close to death and that I was going to get a single area kill, my heart was beating and I was like "oh god please don't cart now, don't cart now". A single mistake was a failure, considering I went gunner.
EX Risen Teostra is one of the best fights in the game, an absolute test of endurance against one of the few monsters in the game that will just not stop moving and will only give you scarce openings. And that's a good thing.
It is pretty much exactly what I wanted from Risen Teostra, this pure enraged Lion with relentless attacks.
You can see I didn't even 100% know the fight even after multiple runs, as I tried to Crouch fire after some attacks, when Teostra wasn't even done with its attack sequence.
I do wish more physical attacks were given to EX/Risen Teostra since most of their moveset is AoEs and can bring down the quality of the fight for some players, but overall it is still solid and one of the best designed monster in Sunbreak in my opinion.

I’m so glad the EX risens and hazard mons are a thing. It’s such a cool evolution of the monsters and a challenge to rival some of the hardest iceborne content outside of alatreon/fatty/AT velk. Really exited for TU 5 now with the potential for the future. The possibility of EX risen valstrax scares me.

I have to ask, what is ex risen teostra? Is this from a mod, or a high anomaly level investigation, is it like an A9 quest or something lol, I feel so out of the loop, I'm only at anomaly level 205 btw

Indeed the adrenaline rush against EX R. Teo is nuts but imo nothing more nutty compare to EX R. Chameleos and Kushala.
The other day using HH, EX R. Teo RNG fight went so bizzare the moment he went power up he did less blast powder spread attacks instead went physical (rush attacks, bite bomb to Jump attack, normal jump front attack, and so forth) kept going about 3 minutes I was being pressured none stop before he went back going Blast powder shenanigans again.

How do you unlock these Ex Risen Monsters?
Anomaly Research level 211, they then show up in the A8* anomaly quests.
@@dynamo_lynn These are possible to get in investigations, right? Because I thought Bahari said they could and I've yet to get a single one despite grinding for investigations so much lol
@@FrostyTheCookie You can get Risen Elders in investigations, but they will not have the moveset changes as these Anomaly quest ones
@@dynamo_lynn Damn, I was really hoping I could find the EX elders in them so I'd have more of an excuse to fight them. Hopefully that's added in the future.
@@FrostyTheCookie I'm not sure I understand, because it makes no difference. These A8* Elders will still give you Risen bones, just not essences. They're also much harder than their level 220 counterparts, not just the moveset changes but they also have more HP.
I find this guy around equally as hard as risen valstrax
If someone interested in HBG N3 like this, Chaotic HBG N3 build with Mail of Hellfire 3 with no dereliction is really good in multiplayer for anykind of toaster and bear hunt.
I Still have a bit of trouble adapting to rise teostra since world teostra was a joke lol
