Agree. However I think some of the alt commanders just really don't synergize well with the other 99 so I can see why nobody's playing the alt.

Kyle Hill did *work* with Liberty Prime on Game Knights. Actually really refreshing to see, since I think Mothman is overpowered compared to the other base commanders.
So, helpful reminder! Proliferate reads that you increase the count of EACH type of counter on the entities you decide to proliferate. You don't pick and choose which types of counters increase. In short, if you proliferate a player with Energy and Rad counters, they get one extra of both. Have fun!

Proliferating a player with energy and rad counters should add one of each of those counters (you can’t only choose to proliferate their rads).
That’s not true. When u proliferate u CAN actually choose the number of players and or permanents with counters and add each of those
@@taddeltentakel151When proliferating, you target players and/or permanents with counters and increase each of those counters. You cannot target the counters individually.
Somehow everyone in this thread is wrong in different ways. Proliferate says “chose any number of permanents or players, then give each another counter of A KIND already there” so either energy OR rads, not both.
@@TheGtDragoon Rule 701.27a, you give each one an additional counter of each kind. EACH counter attached to a permanent or player gets proliferated
701.27a To proliferate means to choose any number of permanents and/or players that have a counter, then give each one additional counter of each kind that permanent or player already has.
It was absolutely fantastic to get 4 game videos with the precons without upgrades. Now I'd love to see how they fair post upgrades. Maybe not cedh, but wouldn't be opposed either.
When Jan proliferated Eliot’s counters they should have added an energy too.
It's really common to see people forget you aren't choosing the counters to proliferate. You choose the permanent or player, and they get an additional of each type of counter they have.
@@matthewcapaldi That wasn't always the case though, right? I believe that you used to be able to pick which counters before errata and that's why a lot of people believe that
@@davidyi8559yes I’ve been only playing for 2 years and after reading the card descriptions that’s how I understood it. I’d say most players who are even aware errata’s exist would know that. I had to explain to my pod when I saw a comment correcting this from a different RUclips video this month. I’m. Or one to look up errata’s unless they’re in the rulings. I use mana box when looking up card rulings.

Yeah this one was a little tricky because the decks arrived like a week before MagicCon Chicago. We might do some brews or upgrades in a few weeks. Either way we'll go back to doing upgrades for Thunder Junction!

this was easily the best showcase video so far I've seen of all 4 decks what a battle!
so one thing ive noticed you and allot of people doing is forgetting to add energy counters to the energy deck when they proliferate on them for rad counters sicne proliferate is each counter on the permnant or player goes up by one.
i belive they made it that way in war of the spark but it used to be that you could choose the counters you put on
The Dogmeat precon really falls flat straight out of the box. I think the commander is good, but the cards in the box just aren't the right ones for the commander. It's silly that Rose is in the wrong precon, she'd be great in dogmeat.
Where are the zoom and all of that? I was expecting to notice a party... but nop xD Good game!!!

Must of been exhausted to get these decks right after magiccon but you guys are great..
This was a really cool game, everything went fast, but still all the decks got to show off their mechanics.

I was confused by Alex's ruling on Enchantments entering the battle get around ward/hexproof, so I looked it up. Remember "choose" is different from "target".
Relevant rule:
303.4f If an Aura is entering the battlefield under a player’s control by any means other than by resolving as an Aura spell, and the effect putting it onto the battlefield doesn’t specify the object or player the Aura will enchant, that player chooses what it will enchant as the Aura enters the battlefield. The player must choose a legal object or player according to the Aura’s enchant ability and any other applicable effects.

I was supposed to film with that deck, and then I had to take my dog to emergency vet the night before we filmed (he's totally fine now!) so I couldn't make the film session. I'm brewing an upgraded version for a future game!

Jan said "radiation is the energy of the future" in such a seductive way, I thought he was about to start sweet-talking me about the powerhouse of the cell.
When Jan had 10 rad counters with Strong on field, why didn't he gained 4 life? He stayed on 19

Just a quick comment regarding proliferate:
When you choose a player that has any number of different counter on them e.g. rad, infect, energy, they get an additional coounter of all of them. So you can't decide to give someone a rads but not increase the amount of energy they have.

why aren't the rad counters considered nonland permanents by the ultimatum?
They're not permanents, just counters on a player.
I get why it's confusing though. Usually these extra cards exist to represent tokens of some sort or another, which are permanents.
The cards printed for rad counters aren't tokens, hence not permanents, but that's an exception in this group of extra cards.
I would love to see these decks upgraded especially the energy one since it seems to be the weakest one of the three so far. Adding in some of the proliferate cards from recent sets to the Mothman deck could be pretty sweet.
