- Today we experiment with an idea I learned from a friendly Canadian Ken Noakes. He posted this idea on the BC Suzuki Facebook group. It caught my interest and I had to try it, low and behold it works! A budget way to engage the front differential without the expensive actuator pump that is known to fail. I rebuild them and I relocated the pump in front of the battery, so it is easy to get work on.
I managed to fix mine. Just take the actuator apart till you get to the pump with two tubes coming out. One side rusts and leaks. I used o rings and gasket maker to fix the leak. No problems ever since.

I routed mine in the firewall where the wires from engine comes in the cab and cut a schreader valve from a tire and hose clamp it at the end... quick pump and check the pressure with a low pressure gauge and your good to go... remember to engage in 4wd before you pump... to disengage just shift to2wd and the air bleeds out automatically.. cheers from Canada EH
Hey Tony my pump died in my 01 at Zuwharrie a couple years ago and so I connected the Windshield Washer pump hose to the 4X4 pump hose and I would just hit the washer button to engage 4wheel drive. Yeah it worked ... and I’m not even Canadian.... but beer was involved!

I know it's an older video and it's a good one. I'm gonna buy one of these pumps as well. My question is my actuator doesn't have any power going to it and I can't find what fuse runs it. Any ideas? Thanks a lot for the videos. I've been watching a lot of them.
what size tubing did you use for connection to BP bulb? can i get it at hardware store?

On this generation vitara I'm having a fit getting spark out the plug I have 12 v at the coils but no spark when I try to start its the 2.0 any advise bro would be greatly appreciated

To hell with the expensive pump, I'm going to put one of those bulb pumps on my ARB front locker.
Can you please help me find a driveshaft for my 1996 geo tracker. My grandparents used to own the car, my grandma was driving it one day and the front universal joint on the rear drive shaft broke and shattered the end of the driveshaft and the yoke that goes into the transfercase

You seem to know loads about these vehicles do you know of anywhere that makes diff air lockers for these?
Check out "ARB" online. They make them for many vehicles including Suzuki
@@Hwy83SUZUKI yeah I did they don't make them for my vehicle I've seen somewhere in Greece do but they don't reply lol so was wondering if the diffs fit from mk1 into the mk2 if they do I can get lockers for them
Why not use battery operated blood pressure cuff pump save your hand

Eat a coupla burritos and you can stick that air pressure tube up (figure the rest out yourself)
