I have had similar experiences. The folks I have met are very friendly, and open with Americans, Their contempt is for the US govt, not Americans. All individual interactions I have experienced have been very positive. Even during 'the hostage days' I found this to be true.
Czechia here, same experience. A Persian Christian was marrying one of my friends, I performed a traditional Persian dance at their wedding (I didn´t do so well, a pretty average performance) and a group of Persians came and praised the dance, saying how truly Persian it was, and thanked me and gave me food...
I've not watched the whole video yet, but Iran for a time would have been experts in evading American sanctions and boycotts. I expect the Kremlin is using all the help they can get in that arena.
Russian view of sovereignty was voiced a while ago by Peskov or Lavrov if memory serves: If a country can't defend itself against [russian] attack, it's not a sovereign country.
Wait, destroying Russian assets in Ukraine infuriates the hard core Iranians towards the Russians... I hope the Ukrainians know that but especially the US public. So many birds with one stone! US has the best deal ever in this equation, send more help.
I'm not sure how this happens, but of the 4 Persians I've met so far, all of them are amazing people. Hope they can win back their freedom soon.
A few bad apples is all it takes. Iran must be freed.

Same here.
I can confirm and share the hope.

I’m sorry.. why didn’t you have an Iranian on for this discussion? What does this woman know about Iran and Russia relations and history ?
She is fluent in the language and has mixed roots I believe. She’s considered one of the world’s leading experts on the topic.
@@SiliconCurtainI can tell by the way she speaks, she Islamic republic propagandist agent, not Iranian.
Just wondering, did you listen to the podcast? The answer is there.
She even looks Iranian.
The original commenter would probably not complain if it would have been a man speaking.
No. They are enemies engaged in transactions. That's all.
Russia and Iran are intolerant of WESTERN hegemony and dominance!Long live Iran Russia friendship!
Russia and Iran are experts at intolerance.
