- In this video, I talk about NFL Running Back, Jahmyr Gibbs, for the Detroit Lions. Gibbs grew up in Dalton, GA and was raised by his grandmother. I talk briefly about his childhood, his high school football days. His days playing football for Georgia Tech and Alabama, and finally, I talk about his draft and how it confused a lot of people. He was drafted in the 2023 NFL Draft at pick 12 overall. I talk about his impact with the Detroit Lions up to this point. Enjoy. Cheers

The fact that he loved Barry Sanders and ends up at the Lions ( when he said that at the interview with Coach Campbell Brad Holmes, they probably looked at each other and thought, this is our guy). That's poetic justice. And the fact he knew the tougher side of life, being adopted by a white family, made him the right person to fit on the Lions. He, and Jamo will both be lions stars for a decade.

You're not wrong, Gibbs and Williams or perfect picks. They're both explosive and they're gonna have long good careers
I like the Gibbs pick a lot. The kid has blazing speed, great cutting ability, is a great receiver, and can run between the tackles if needed. He is a great complement to Montgomery. He can line up as a wideout with Jamo being the only guy who is faster. As Brad said, he's a weapon. Add into that a humble attitude and you have a great addition to the offense. What is intriguing as a fan is the 2nd year jump for Gibbs and LaPorta. You could add Jamo in there as well. Also consider Hooker's potential. This offense could go from very good/borderline elite to the best in the NFL. Literally zero weaknesses except for offensive line depth, which could get fixed easily. What an exciting time to be a Lions fan!
I 100% agree with you. They are stacked with weapons. It’s going to be a nightmare for any opposing defense. Especially when Jamo and Amon Ra line up together. It’s basically pick your poison at that point.

I was hoping the Lions might take Gibbs with their pick in the middle of the 2nd Round. I was PISSED they took him so highly. A scat back at 12? He is so much more than that. Excellent between the Tackles. Amazing balance and vision. And SPEED. He is frickin unbelievable.

Absolutely great job. Great short documentary. I was extremely geeked to get Gibbs. He’s ours now. Ben Johnson is just learning how to use him. I had him at a 800/800 year. But I do believe he will get over 1000 yards now. Monty will get close to the same.
I think Monty will definitely score more because they will use him within 5 yards of the opposing end zone, but Gibbs will definitely be a huge factor for that offense. Can’t wait!

Story time. Gibbs first gained national exposure from a game televised on ESPN. Dalton vs. Harrison. Harrison's quarterback at the time was Justin Fields. Dalton was in the game late and Fields got injured. Harrison ended up winning the game. Future NFL high school coach of the year at Dalton fielded hundreds of call after gibbs went off for more the 200 yards in that game if im not mistaken. Thus, a star was born.

Love the videos! nobody's doing deep dives on these players like you are. These boys have changed this franchise around Gibbs is either 2 or 3 favorite players on the team i love this boy. You should do one on Arnold or Rake depending on how they turn out
Love the work it took to do this video and the production. Gibbs makes every defense look slow, even the Ravens unit. He reminds me of a faster McCaffery and that's a GREAT thing.

I have been a lions fan my whole life and love Gibbs but it's one good game and we have to be realistic, I hope he keeps it up
every time he's given a larger role hes produced atl 18 touches 82 yards,bal 20 touches 126 yards,vegas 31 touches 187 yards.. started those games...
The other games kc 9 touches 60 yards, green bay 12 touches 51 yards .. Seattle was really the only kinda bad game hes had 14 touches 56 yards.. i see enough hes a rookie averaging over 5 yards per carry and when he gets the full load he looks elite

With Jamo on the field defenses automatically have to come out of one high, they can’t crowd the box.
”NASCAR” offensive package could be Jamo Leaf wide, Laporta Saint in the slot and Gibbs in the backfield. Scary speed and that would stress any defense.

A lot of people talkes smack about our draft and they are all esting there words now with every single one of our rookies on offense breaking records and helping lead this team to First place in the NFC North and the best season since 1962.
