The Journey of Amon Ra St. Brown: One of The NFL's Most Dynamic Receivers
Amon Ra St. Brown is an NFL wide receiver for the Detroit Lions. His father, John Brown, won Mr. Universe twice in the 80s, and his mother is from Germany. Amon Ra has two brothers, all played Division I college football, all speak 3 languages, and all have around a 4.0 GPA. Their father had them working out in the gym when they were young, and their mother was just as steadfast when it came to their minds.
Amon Ra went to Mater Dei High School, a school known for their high school football, where he excelled. Hear from his coaches and teammates about what kind of a player and student he was.

The Conflicting Nature of Football and CTE: Part One
Просмотров 1184 месяца назад
In this video, I explore the effects of CTE on our beloved NFL Football Players. I display doctors who explain what CTE is and the effects it has on players around the NFL. Things get a bit heavy in this video, but I think it's important to educate ourselves on this topic since football is a staple in American culture. There is a bit of conflict, however. A lot of former players say that, given...

Hey everyone! There is a weird cut around the 8:07 mark. Sorry about that. 8 days after uploading the video, the NFL copyrighted a section that I had to trim out. So instead of editing the video and reupload it, I decided to just trim the section out. It’s getting hard to edit these! The NFL are sticklers on their product (which is understandable) but I try my best to edit these videos in a way to avoid those copyright issues. Cheers!

I love Dan Campbell and what he has done for the Lions, a team I have followed through thick (rarely) and thin (most of the time), but his efforts would not produce anywhere near the results it has without Brad Holmes and Sheila Hamp, and many others. Dan is the real deal and after over fifty-five years of following the Lions I am finally seeing what a great football coach is. Joe Schmidt was an excellent coach but had nowhere near the support that Dan has.

THIS IS MY GUY. I've lived in Detroit my whole life, but I didn't become a Lions fan until 2021. Amon-Ra St. Brown was the first name I learned on the Brand New Lions. I saw a video of when he went undercover at a hospital, and spoke to a couple of nurses who were Lions fans. And when I learned that even early on he was giving back to the city of Detroit, I was like: T h a t ' s m y g u y. His jersey is the first sports jersey I've ever owned.

Dan’s mom taught me in high school in Glen Rose Tx. At the time he played for the cowboys along with my favorite back, he Eddie George. I feel so bad looking back but I was young… lol I gave her a little Eddie figurine and asked if Dan could get him to sign it for me. She was kind and said yes. He either never had time or found it disrespectful, understandably. I now wish I would have asked to get his signature. At the time I was just a very big George fan and didn’t see things the way I do now and was just focused on trying to get it signed. But man his mom left a big mark on anyone who came through her class. I wasn’t the greatest student for the most part, but in her class I tried to be. I can see where some of his leadership comes from. I never got to meet him in person always saw his pictures in the locker rooms at high school. I’m a Tennessee titans fan and have never really had a second team. I can’t let anyone jump the Titans but for the last few years I think I have had a second team. I’m excited to watch not just Dan but the lions now and honestly if they get a Super Bowl before us so be it. TitanUp and go Lions!

From my perspective, I see him as a human specimen. Emphasis on specimen. He is very inspiring but do I want to have that kind of regimen. No. What is 'great' what is 'average'? I have nothing to be great at (I was in music and was good, not great). I will not go down in the history books. He will. In a way it's Greco-Roman. On one hand, he was raised 'Lacedaemonian'. On the other, he possesses that intense Roman-esque 'ambition'. His parents have clearly melded mind and body into the competitor that he is but for what? Our entertainment? Riches? Certainly he is now a wealthy young man. I suspect his spirit is equally on par with the other attributes. Perhaps, vehemently atheistic? Perhaps, on fire the Lord whatever it may be. It doesn't matter. He is an interesting person that has pushed himself to be admired by other humans. Overall, I'm just happy that he's a Lion. If it weren't for Penei and then ARSB, these players, we would still be suffering our humiliating and ridiculous worst franchise in all of Sports history. Things are changing because of people like him.
