    Awesome tutorial! In the beginning you say you can use this workflow for more complex cars. In one of your previous tutorial where you model a complex sport car, you start off using splines. Do you still recommend starting with splines for more complex models or just start off with polygons? Thank youu!!!

    • @polygonpen
      @polygonpen  8 месяцев назад

      Thanks!
      Working with splines is the ultimate way to do it when it comes to car modeling. It will give you the best results, but it will make the process a bit longer, so if it is not a problem, I would 100% recommend using splines, especially for cars that have lots of details. Splines are essential to sustaining a smooth surface in such cases.
      Curved cars are more forgiving so sometimes splines are not that necessary.

      @@polygonpen Thanks for your reaction and thanks for clearing that up! I'm thinking of modeling the BMW e30 for a while now, pretty squared car so i will take the spline route. Thanks again!

    Those car and motorcycle modeler, how do they could model internal part machine with almost all the spare parts with nuts and bolts included, do they buy the full blueprint from the car company? The car model from the internet almost all of them had inside spare parts model.

      These parts are modeled in CAD softwares to be manufactured.
      In this kind of modeling workflow ( SubD), you usually work with references.

    Maya or blender?

    • @polygonpen
      @polygonpen  8 месяцев назад

      I would start with Blender, at some point it will be essential to learn Maya if you want to work with studios/companies but it would be really easy to learn Maya after using Blender.
