Just a simple thing as watching you turn triangles into quads amazes me. You've got such an experienced eye that you make everything look so effortless. Love your videos and this was an awesome tutorial. Didn't know of the spherify deformer until now.
love your work bro, i watching your industrial modeling playlist and creating the models right now i'm in the googles and just love every tutorial of yours :)
You’re a genius! This tutorial is fantastic. Where one can learn the modelling in Cinema4D like you do? Is any school of modelling required? I’ve just started learning modelling in Cinema 4D and watching your tutorials I’m afraid that reaching your skills level is impossible ;(
@@polygonpen would love to hear ur thoughts on the exported geometry / ur workflow in a video, i havn't exported anything to cinema yet but some videos i've seen the geometry it spits out can look rough.
I think I have missed something. Did you count the number of edges before create the Embedded Detail so it could be able to fill? I never understand how in these tutorials they never miss the edges count. By the way, thank you! Many things I know about modeling I learned from your channel.
Yeah, exactly, I counted 24 edges on the surface, then I modeled the second object with exactly 24 edges, by so I was able to bridge these 2 objects perfectly.
You go to CAD and do it all in 3 minutes, then Quad remesher - done. If you want absolutely great control u use Houdini with MODELER and nice boolean tools which do this automatically for you. Just import a curve with logo. Its even can be automated to anything.
Cinema 4D no longer needs Quad Remesher! When Maxon acquired ZBrush they added ZRemesher to C4D! Much better and more accurate! He could have used Boolean to model this as well, but he just wanted to show another technique! He has videos using only boolean and zremesher modeling!
You are absolutely right but these tutorials are for traditional modeling purposes, specifically SubD modeling which I think is still the most essential and convenient modeling method. By working in SubD workflow, you will be always ready to produce models that could be used in many fields like production ( Rigging/Deforming/UV Unwrapping, these require really good topology and auto genarators like ZRemesher are not there yet and many studios are usually on that pipeline), Games ( You can bake your High poly SubD mesh to a low Poly one etc.) For Visualization and Design purposes, I believe your method will work perfectly, especially if you are a freelancer and not working in a pipeline or a studio but I am aiming for larger audience, these people usually look for jobs in Studios.
@blendersarelikevegans, You are right, it is not possible to get a decent job by using short/fast modeling methods, because they lack theoretical knowledge/practise and experience, these may save the day but for a profession, they are just side tools, you can not get in ILM by saying I am really good at Remesher.
@@polygonpen I was looking in the comments to see if someone mentions boolean tools cause I actually had the same thought :D Thank you for explaining all the why's ☺
Hello. I discovered this channel today and was very excited looking at the quality of knowledge here. I am a beginner in this 3D field and my passion is to work as a 3D artist for game development. Sadly your main software is Cinema 4D, and the gaming field needs experience of softwares like Autodesk Maya and Blender at the first place. Do you know any other channels like yours for my preferred softwares? There are alot of channels but all follow different workflows. Would be great if there's a single channel which covers 3D like you do. Please let me know. Thank you. :)
Hi, you can follow me along easily, I always work in SubD modeling workflow which is universal, I think SubD modeling is a great starting point for modeling, everything I do is applicable to Maya or Blender. You can follow John Dickinson on RUclips, he has great blender tutorials similar to mine.

What are your thoughts on software like plasticity for using in cinema later? :)
It is great, makes CAD modeling fun and easy, I would like to make tutorials in it in the future.
