If, after following the steps in this video, your photos are still deleting from Google Photos when you delete them from your phone, I have another video that might answer your questions: ruclips.net/video/Tw0FOiyt9cM/видео.html. Hope it helps!

I found your video incredibly helpful!! I was going crazy trying to get all my pictures off my iPhone without permanently deleting them. Great and clear delivery of step by step instructions.
omg thank you!! at first, i was a little on edge with this... i got worried incase after i deleted everything off my photos, it’ll somehow disappear on google photos. but it worked, and now i’m so happy! i can finally take pictures, videos, and download games and apps! i appreciate this so much!
I wish I found this out earlier I deleted more than 1,000 photos 😔😔😔 but I still have the rest. Thanks for this awesome video I wish I could’ve found this sooner
BEST video on the subject EVER hands down. All others are extremely confusing and complicated. Very clearly and logically presented all questions in ONE video, 9 minutes. GREAT JOB ! THANKS !
At last. A clear explanation on how Apple Photos v Google Photos works. I’ve been so confused for years. Say bye to 72 GB of wasted photo storage on my phone. Thank you so much👍
Great video! I had over 9000 pics... and roughly half of them were screenshots and video (screen recordings) of memes I had sent over the years! Icloud wasn't allowing me to delete a lot... I'm glad google is here to save the day with their app! I might go to Android when I need my next phone upgrade LOL
As a relatively new user just to get a feel for iOS, I basically like my iPhone but prefer Android overall for the very reason presented here. SO much easier to store photos and many other files on an internal SD card…which, of course, Apple doesn’t offer because it wouldn’t provide more profit from forcing users to keep upgrading iCloud storage. With my iPhone, I’ve been doing the same thing as suggested in the very informative video, but it gets old very quickly and I’m getting tired of playing the Apple game.
Thank you. I uploaded my photos from iCloud to my computer then double deleted like they make you do & they deleted everything on my computer. I despise iCloud. No instructions really chaotic way to treat such valuable information in everyone’s phone. Thank you for making this very clear video. Checking every move now deleting one photo first.
Thank u so very much for this wonderful video. I was so frustrated with the limited storage of my iPhone, had to keep deleting important pics, videos, apps to free up space. Now with this info, I can save valuable storage space and speed up my device. Thanks once again dear..
This is incredibly useful! You make it sound so easy! I haven’t tried it yet, but at least I understand what to do! Another tutorial - I couldn’t follow at all!!! This has caused me much anxiety, so thank you again! We’ll see what happens when I try it.
Hello love your google video i Brenda have an iPhone I did put some of my photos to the computer kept few on phone but now since I seen your video I would like to take them from iCloud and from computer to sync to google like to have step by step like you did to stop putting them in iCloud & I like to just keep my messages & contacts in cloud I want to keep following you seems like I can understand how you explain it too please send links of other videos you’ve made thanks
My problem is, when I delete something on my normal Photos app, it also get deleted from my Google Photos and I don't know why that's happening!!! Do i have to change something in my settings?
Excellent info. No one has ever explained this so clearly. You’re a lifesaver. You’ve removed my fear of thinking making storage on my devices would mean I would lose my photos & videos forever. Thank you so much.
At last, a video that tells you clearly and precisely what you need to know! Thank you so much. One question though - if I want to get all my google photos BACK onto my iPhone how do I do this please? Many thanks.
You have access to all of your photos through your phone, they are just up in the cloud, so you'll need Internet access. You can download individual or albums back down to your phone whenever you might need them through the app.
Thanks for this... I'm glad I watched! So.... my photos are already getting uploaded to Google Photos... what is(are) the step(s) to delete them from the phone? I"m going to see what I find on my own now on how to do this. Thanks again.

Hi! Thank you for this! Big help really! I have a question? How about changing iphone device? Is it okay to delete the google photos app and install it to the new phone? Would it affect those photos synced from the older iphone? Thank you! 😊
Hello. Thanks for video. I am a Google user and I have just bought a I Phone 13 mini. I have installed the Google photo and sync. It works for pictures but it can't with video. Is that because the quality is to high?
I guess it’s changed since this was made but I can’t find the features your talking about. Or I can’t find it. Like I can’t find auto back up or upload original.
Thanks for the insight. I consider to switch from android to iphone but I don't want to stop using google drive. So, it's great to see the backup works on iphone too.
Thank you for the information , it was really helpful. I learn that you can delete photos from your iphone and still have the on google photos awesome!!!!
I don’t have a video on this, but once your photos are uploaded, you can access them from a browser on your PC and download them from there. Hope that helps!
Thanks so much. Your explanations are so clear and you have convinced me to use cloud storage instead of my outdated harddrives.lol ....very persuasive. Thanks again, Pete
Your videos are so helpful, but the way my iPhone is setup, pictures are easier to see than in Google photos. How do I make my pictures more contained(?) in Google photos so I can SEE my pictures easily to find things, vs it looking so overwhelming in Google photos...? Thanks
Hi, there! I changed my layout settings to "Comfortable," which is a bit better than "Day" or "Month." But I agree that the Google Photos view isn't quite as good as the Photos app.
Omg bless. I literally have 30gb of pics on my phone so I truly needed this. Considering that google only gives 15gb I’ll have to use another account to sync, but it’s still great. I have other google accounts I can use.
THIS IS GOLD!!!!! thank you so much, however how do you know when all your photos are done backing up onto google photos so that you are officially ready to delete them off your iphone? I dont want to delete them off my iphone too soon before they were all backed up
I have only just downloaded the app you explained very well so thank you because I was so scared of deleting any photos because I have a shocking amount of 25,000 photos.... I know it's bad but I have so many memories I just can't delete and the storage was doing my head in
You are not afraid of Google saying: Will we eliminate Google Photos? I have an amount similar to yours (23,102) and I want to do it, but I'm just afraid that they will be deleted. You already deleted them from your phone?
Great video,I have all the photos loaded on google photos after watching this tutorial, but when I delete pictures from my iphone it deletes from google photos as well even though i have the backup/sync on??
You can see my response to others below, but basically the first upload to Google Photos can take a long time - like many, many hours. Until everything is fully uploaded, when you delete photos from your phone, they will also delete from Google Photos since they haven't been uploaded yet. Let me know if you still have that issue after waiting for everything to sync!
Yes, after you back up your photos and delete them from your camera roll (remember to also delete them from deleted), they won’t take up space on your phone anymore!
Thank you for this great information. Is there a way to transfer my camera roll albums to my Google photos? I save important pictures that I want to view quickly in these albums. Thank you again,
This does work the thing is if I go to a certain app let’s say Instagram and I want to public a photo the photos from google photos won’t appear unless it’s from the camera roll so I deleted all my photos on camera roll since my storage is low (do you think you could help?)
Hi, Grace. This is true. I just go to Google Photos, save the couple of photos that I want to post to my camera roll and post from there. Then I can delete them off my camera roll to save space. Hope that helps!
Hi thank you so much for this video. I downloaded the Google Photos App & backed up all my photos from the Camera Roll. Then I deleted them from the Camera Roll & Recently Deleted App, but it still did not free up any space from my phone. Please help? Thanks.
When you look at the storage on your phone in Settings, is it still saying that Photos are taking up most of the space? If so, and you have cleaned out your Recently Deleted Photos folder, you may have to engage Apple support to fix.
Made a typo up there but Yes I emptied out even the Recently Deleted Folder but It’s no longer showing Photos as taking up most of the space but “Other”. Thank you for your prompt response, will contact them soon.

Do we have access to these photos I downloaded as you instructed but I need them for bloggers how do I do that does it automatically give it to me or do I have to go in and copy and paste can you do that?
I’m not entirely certain that I understand your question, but in order to use your photos, download just the ones you need from Google Photos. They will now be in your camera roll. Then you can upload them to whatever app you need to as usual. When you are finished, you can delete them from your camera roll. Hope that helps!
hi! what does the circular grey arrows mean on all my photos. They are saying they are backed up but when I deleted a few photos from my iPhone camera roll, they were also deleted from my google photos. Please help!
Is Google Photos better than Google Drive, for storing photos and videos, then? Is there an option to backup all photos and videos from iphone to Google Drive too, like to Google Photos? Or really only manually selecting each photo I want to store in Google Drive? tia
Google Photos is built specifically for backing up photos from your phone. What i love about it is the ability to search on images and faces. So, yes, I think it’s much better and easier!
I only have 32 GB and my iPhone 6s Plus I have put all my apps to sleep except RUclips and Messenger, and I still can't even get my emails because it won't load to full no room!🤦🏻♀️ I had to Google photo app now but it doesn't say anything about how to organize or the app or the album you said deleted photos is gone it was there for a minute now it's gone can you help me?
I will have to watch your video again :-). Can I upload an album from my iphone to google photos. I need to somehow create a place for all of my screenshots to separate them from everything else. (They are taking up most of the room on my iphone.). How did YOU do that? :-) Thank you.
You can't upload an album to google Photos, but you can use the AI-driven search capabilities once everything is loaded into Google Photos to create an album there. Good luck!
hi if i use social media and i have to upload photos from there (such as twitter) how will i be able to access them? does google photos come up? like in recents?
Hi, Grace - I handle this by downloading photos from Google Photos to my Camera Roll to upload them to social media (or uploading them before deleting them from my camera roll). You just need them temporarily, so you can delete them afterwards.
If, after following the steps in this video, your photos are still deleting from Google Photos when you delete them from your phone, I have another video that might answer your questions: ruclips.net/video/Tw0FOiyt9cM/видео.html. Hope it helps!
