So I found the article based on this incident and apparently there was supposed to be another attachment which slipped off from his legs hence why he was struggling to hold onto the T-bar, at the most steepest point. I really do feel bad for the injured however I'm not sure if I should feel just as worse for laughing my head off at this video. i would bet money this incident singlehandedly causes the resort to tear that t-bar lift down.. not a good look having an incident like this go viral.. especially since it would appear the chairlift that the person filming is sitting on goes to the same location as the t-bar the snowboarder is riding. So the t-bar is super pointless and rather dangerous. That hill is too steep for a t-bar. If anything that t-bar should stop at the start of the tree line and just serve that flat area down below for beginners.. If the purpose of the t-bar is just to increase uphill capacity, then its time to upgrade that old 2-seat fixed grip chair to some high-speed detached quad chairs. only thing that t-bar really seems to be doing is wasting what could be a pretty nice run

Buttons and Ts are not designed for snowboarders so they are pretty hard work. I expect he started out using it 'properly', but you only need to catch an edge and before you know it, you're clinging on to the bar with outstretched arms. I've been there. Fortunately, have not taken out every other user on the lift though...
He could of controlled that. The T bar he could held on and dragged himself too the top, he was so close. I been stuck on a ski lift myself and he could of found a way to stop this from happening. Like go into the trees, get off the path some how.
Everyone who laughs at this is disgusting. Multiple skiers were severely injured in this and had to be transported to a hospital by helicopter. They also had their vacation destroyed and some of them will probably have physical problems for the rest of their lives.
Thing is this was an accident on this guy's part. Me, I was on skis, and I wasn't using a ski lift. I was coming down the hill doing about 90 miles an hour, and stopping isn't something I've perfected yet. The last thing the crowd heading to the lift heard was a 'heads up' before I crashed right into them.

I wonder if he was killed for it by those he hit? I ran into one guy once and he had to be restrained from turning my body into a bluddy grore. In my opinion, a ski slope is the most dangerous place in the world. I would rather be in a middle eastern fire fight than a ski slope. Far safer in the fire fight.

Vor allem, wenn die Strecke schon ein Paar krumme Schneisen hat und einen dann nach links und rechts rausballert. An meinen ersten zwei Tagen mit dem Board bin ich zwei Mal durch den Lift am Ende oben, wo es wieder runter geht ausgehebelt und auf den Kopf gekippt worden. Mit 75 Kilo Körpergewicht. Das Bein hat es dabei 180° nach hinten gedreht. Seit dem nie wieder das Snowboard angefasst. Skifahren davor war kein Problem für den Lift.
You realize you learn by pushing yourself, honestly I’m glad for him, he absolutely learned a lot that day, and chances are if he’s still taking those risks and doing things that far above his level he is great by now. I learned by starting on a tiny hill and after about an hour going to the top of the mountain, I fell tons of times but by the end of the day after never having snowboarded or skied I was already able to go pretty quickly down without crashing or falling.

Him speeding up initially was him trying to go around the person in front of him. If he stayed slow, he still would have hit him because he wouldn’t be able to move sideways fast enough. Either way the same thing would’ve happened 🤷
