sorry for disappearing but i'm finally back after our wedding and honeymoon!! ♡ this video was actually pre-filmed but fresh uploads starting next week with a japan haul ⋆˙⟡♡~ let me know if you'd be interested in a wedding planning/prep video as well?? ᡣ𐭩ྀིྀི
Congratulations on the wedding! 🎉 I think Kibbe types could be useful for some people as a starting point for putting outfits together but the examples they give do seem a bit outdated and not alt fashion friendly
Got Kibbe and Color analysis done, and while I believe in “wear what you like,” the recommendations aligned perfectly with what always made me feel and look my best. Take it with a grain of salt, but it’s great for curating a timeless, sustainable wardrobe.
hmm i think maybe the body type one did the most to change up your vibe, making you look more mature and chic--which can be fun to go for sometimes! but i personally think that people look best in what makes them feel best! i think having all these analyses can make styling only more difficult, since there's so much more to think about. for example, you mentioned you were struggling with the face essence one, but we all know you can come up with perfectly wonderful outfits when you're just being you! i feel like if i were to get analyzed like this i would end up thinking too much about it and wouldn't have as much fun with the fashion. i found a lot of freedom in getting dressed when i stopped thinking about what enhances my body type/features and instead focused on what feels balanced, comfortable, and exciting to me!
please style zodiac signs!!! that would be so fun - i always love seeing your creativity shine with cute but open-ended prompts. great video as always!
Been a fan of your content for so long (especially your manga/anime style videos) so I am very honored that you recommended my shop! I really enjoyed your analysis and agree some of these style analysis have room for improvement. I may have my Astrology Style guides open again in 2025 🖤
Congratulations on the wedding!! I think these style guides can be helpful but personally I always get overwhelmed with them. I think you have such a great trained eye for style that you can put together a gorgeous outfit no matter the prompt or challenge. I think you did great in all of these! My favourite was the banana milkshake yellow outfit and the last outfit. Will be keeping my eyes open at the thriftshop for a long buttoned dress that I could layer over some jeans!
I've seen you with so many hair colors but this color/tone is so gorgeous on you! My fav so far for sure 🖤 Really happy to see you're back to posting! Your personal style is still my favorite on you though (because it's so amazingly creative) even if it was fun to see what these guides recommended
The brown hair looks SO good on you, I feel like it really brings out your features ☺️ I might even prefer it to the blonde! (Maybe I’m biased though since I’m a blonde who dyes her hair dark ginger hahah)
I went down the Kibbe rabbit hole right before finding your channel. It is important to point out that Kibbe does not type clients unless he sees them in person because it's not just about your lines. There's a vibe component too. Also, he's changed his mind about people's body types years later even after he's personally typed them in person, so... even HE does not really understand his own typing system. Having said that, I have always thought you were a soft gamine and that you had a mostly ingenue and gamine essence. In my opinion, you really shine when you're playful and go nuts with layering and accessories. For a soft gamine, the concept of "too much" doesn't really apply, which is why I think you're able to wear 50 accessories at once and go crazy with the make up and shoes and not look crazy. It all just works for you. Typically, if you're not wearing your lines, the clothes will look "borrowed" or "separate." A soft gamine wearing soft classic lines will look like they're a teenager who has borrowed their big sister's or mothers clothes. Personally, I think few people are ONE kibbe type, just like few people have ONE essence. I think most people fall somewhere in between one or two and should take what works from each bucket and make it your own. That's what I ended up doing because the clothing recs that look best on me fit into two types.
I think kibbe doesn’t fully understand his own system because it’s not actually his. He took the idea from a woman and changed it slightly and called it his. Look up Harriet Tilden McJimsey.
Unpopular opinion: every coventionally attractive person can look good in very crazy out there styles if they are good at hair and makeup. Kibbe types have nothing to do with that.
@@Shirumoon You're missing the point of Kibbe types. Yes, a conventionally attractive person will look good dressed in anything. Someone who is not conventionally attractive will not suddenly look like a goddess when wearing their lines. It's not about that. It's about what clothes harmonize with the lines of your body. Clothes that harmonize with your body/lines do not compete. They look "right" on your body. You look more put together and more "you." The outfit looks "made for you." Clothes that do not harmonize with your body/lines compete. They look more separate the further away you get from them. Same with accessories. Same with makeup. Same with color seasons. For example, anyone can wear any color. But if you're wearing the opposite colors for your season, especially your worst color, you're probably going to look sick and run down. If you are wearing your very best color in your color season, your skin and hair and eyes will pop and you'll look like you're glowing. It's subtle, but people notice the difference.
@@SatipatthanaSakuraDragona Yeah let's agree to disagree. I've seen plenty of people of all shapes and sizes and skin tones rock so many different looks and it simply comes down to styling and/or being attractive - and as a make up artist I dare to say I have a good eye for that. If people like these analyses, they should be free to go with those recommendations but I've seen more than one comment under this video where some people thought this was too restrictive and not inclusive enough. We've all agreed on not taking the hourglass shape as the ideal anymore (though that would be a rather simple guideline) but instead we come up with things that some random dude/woman invented. This day and age is all about "individualism" but people are terrified of not having labels and having to make their own desicions.
Congratulations on your wedding!!! Could you do a full fka twigs style guide, I love her music but it wasn’t until this video that I realized she has cool style as well
Idk if this counts but Allison bornstein’s 3 word method is also a fun one to play around with and I like that you pick your own words and feels more flexible and personal than some of the other methods
I would love to see a zodiac video! Specifically if you could style signs in different color palettes than they're normally portrayed! I'm a scorpio girl, but I'm a light spring, so I struggle to find ways to embody both. Would also love to see a wedding planning vid :)
Your style looks better on you, because it expresses your individuality, BUT, the style created with the help of guides looks the way it should look - harmoniously and emphasizing your natural data. Not all people want to fume over their own style and just want to look good or there are people who do not understand how and what to dress, what to start from and what to look at and here just such guides help, which either give specific instructions or a base from which you can start.
Tbh the color analysis was pretty great! I like those colors on you a lot, but your personal style is still the best!! I’d love to see more of your fits with that pastel color palette :)
I like the Kibbe bodytypes. Finding out I'm a yang body type (I'm an SD!) made so much sense. It explained why whenever I tried any gamine or super ”girly” clothes I felt like an oversized toddler 😂
I get you!! It really did make sooo much sense. I'm FN and I always felt like an ugly old man wearing anything delicate - if sometimes not because of my body then most definitely because of my face. Discovering Kibbe genuinely helped me start to love my appearance and even (I'm anxious) feel more ok with taking up a bit more space irl - rather than trying to be, and dress, and make myself as small as possible all the time. I'm truly very grateful for it! I hope many people will learn of it and at least curiously explore it a bit, it's so so helpful.
Currently going through a bit of a fashion slump. Im trying to dress more masculine and your style always inspires me. Do you have any tips, or could it be a potential video?
Ooo i could definitely try incorporating some more masculine outfit ideas in upcoming videos! just got back from a japan/korea holiday and i always leave wanting to dress more masculine because the men’s fashion over there is elite!
I find kibbe useful because even though I still dress however I feel like, I know what looks best on me (I am a gamine, I am 5ft and I like baggy clothes sometimes and that’s OKAY) That being said, those jeans look AMAZING on you!
This video has cemented my opinion that if you already know what proportions, colors and shapes look good on you, I don't need to get analyzed. However, if you feel that something about your clothes feels off or meh but you can't quite put your finger on it, these tests might help. Also, I think that soft classics are easily overwhelmed by the amount of layering and details you're able to pull off. While you do not look terrible in those Kibbe outfits they just seem so bland? I guess. I'm voting for gamine!
loved the video!!! and yesss would love to see you make a video styling the signs, pls!!!!! the same goes for wedding content, everything looked stunning in your recent posts abt it 🥹💗
I love all these sort of style analysis (I don't really get the astrology one, but it sounds fun!). They have probably helped me more than anything to find clothes that suit me and makes me comfortable! That being said, you're so talented and creative with styling that those tips would only hold you back! This is your passion and it shows in how well you wear it!! ❤
Color analysis is for "chic/natural" looks if you're into more alternative styles its good to know but not really as important. Especially for like goth, punk or grunge. Black is for winters and Autumns, but summers and springs look edgier in black BECAUSE its not in our pallete. Same with kibbe and essence. They're starting points more than anything
Omg if you're in Australia and want to try another season color analysis, you should definitely check out Color Analysis Studio 🎉 They have a youtube channel and they seem to be accurate everytime, focusing primarily on the skin ! And they both seem adorable too with a charming italian accent, which is just cherry on top imo 😊 I liked your overview of the different analysis in one video !
I have just rediscovered midrise bootcut jeans this past fall and now it makes all the sense because I have a similar build to you, cool to have some "science(???)" backing up my like for them, not just nostalgia for my middle school favorite, lol.
its so good to see a fellow soft classic that was disapointed seeing all the recommendations were getting is buisness casual. Also youre right about mid wasted bootcut jeans, I bought a pair last year and i am never going back. I couldnt understand why the baggy styles that are currently on trend were looking off on me until I got into more fitted and structured styles of pants so I don't look like Im wearing a diaper anymore.
I got my colour analysis done (by the same person as you actually) and it basically confirmed what I already suspected. Really helped me with makeup though! The ithers I think are helpful for people who need a starting point or some parameters to kickstart their creativity
I've actually been using the essences in another way: Which ones do I like the most and suit my personality? = Mostly gamine and some natural. Which makes it way more fun! Style for me is more about identity/preferences than body anyways (although I am sure the two can influence eachother?) I'm also a light spring btw (in a 12 season system, similar to True Colour International), but I've notice there so many different systems and every system has different ways of dividing up the seasons (hue, value, chroma etc.) and different markers of what looks good (although there is a lot over overlap), so that makes for wildly different opinions too, I think. (Also, sometimes a colour looking "bad" on you could be JUST what you were going for, I know I would be a very successful goth as a light spring because of that). I do actually really like spring colours overall, so I just wear all of them, not only light spring (also SO hard to find it sucks all the fun out of it). I having so much fun with my style this way, without feeling too restricted.
A styling video based on Ellie-Jean Royden’s “Body Matrix” would be really fun! I find her system to be very straightforward and practical, and she recently published a book about it!
I think trial and error is the only way you can really find what works for you. It's about what clothes make you feel good and what colour you continue to buy and wear over and over again
personally i found colour analysis very useful is for what colours don't suit me. i figured out my colour season, soft autumn, sometime during 2021 when really bright, saturated colours were popular. i really liked those colourful outfits on other people but they would wash me out like crazy. knowing these colours didn't look good on me did help me alter my style for the better!
I think you have a great personal style and understanding of what suits you best or what you feel good in. I think that these style guides are more helpful for people starting out...🤔 That being said, I prefer the style essences... then colour analysis
you look so cute in all of these outfits, but i definitely felt the absence of your personal style and therefore they felt more flat than when you let your creativity run wild 🤍 i think these can be great for people who really struggle to enjoy dressing themselves, but you’re a much stronger stylist on your own ❤️❤️❤️ congrats on the vows!!!!!
Really fun video concept! It was really interesting to see you in different colours and styles! I do quite like those pastel colours on you. In the end though wearing what you love and feel confident in is the most important thing!
I'm really suprised what they recommened for you because your personal style I think really complements you. I always assumed you were gamine/etheral with a bright spring colour palette. I think these style systems are helpful at times but its so easy to get stuck in the weeds. I treat it as more of a guide then a science
I’m gonna be completely honest, i really hope you ignore all this stuff and stick to your style. I barely liked most of these outfits and i usually love everything you wear! There’s nothing wrong wt the pieces and they would look fine on other people, but i feel like it neutered your usual creativity and uniqueness.
I love dressing for your rising (and venus) sign!! Even though astrology is the method that has the least logic (as opposed to body type, colour analysis etc) I feel like it's the one that most tapped into your creativity and seemed to resonate with your style. I think we can get bogged down by "analysis" style methods, sometimes the best thing is just to not overthink it and leave it up to the stars...
“I think you guys might be thinking about yourselves too much” -Jemima Kirke You don't need 10,000 analysis', you already dress in a way that appears to bring you joy and satisfaction
Somehow the last zodiac sign outfit pops most for me. You look very cool, pretty and relaxed in it. De color and shape of the overlay, and the hairstyle are such good choices. Its so different from the recommendations though, makes me wonder if its a con or if someone personal preferrence (me) have the most influence on whether they think it “looks good”
I LOVED your outfits, you understand these concepts so well!! I think the Kibbe IDs only work when combined with essences. Only dressing for your body shape can feel a bit empty. Unless your face essence matches your ID (Dramatic Classic body and Dramatic Classic essences for example). I think these systems are very fun and for me it was a very healthy way of not hating my body and face, it saved me so much money and tears 😅 Id like to note that if you're okay with your style, stay away from these systems. You dont need them 💞
It's fun to see people make the style analysis advice their own :D The Kibbe body typing is not very exact, but it helped me at least with solving my "Fashion Mystery", why almost everything looked bad on me. Because I found out I was a Gamine. I wanted to wear long flowy "cottage-core" dresses, but they just looked so weird on me in a childish way, like I wasn't an adult :S Dressing the Gamine lines and details, within my prefered style, makes me look like an adult finally. I'm 5"5, so the height thing doesn't really matter, it's how long or short you look from afar proportion wise.
I don't like western body type analysis. This kibbe method sounds more up my alley. I'm an hourglass, so the suggestions I'm given are always "sexy" clothes. Like, I know that Marilyn Monroe had that body type, but I'm not her. I just want to be comfortable, I'm not interested in being "sexy".
I think it’s important to remember that for colour, Kibbe, and essence, it is supposed to centre YOU (your body, face, skin) rather than the outfit. Your types can also be helpful to know if you want to create an opposite style effect for example. But if you want the outfit itself to stand out, the rules don’t need to apply much! Where I do think these types can be helpful is learning why something isn’t working on you. Using myself as an example (colour: bright winter Kibbe: theatrical romantic essences: probably romantic, ingenue, and ethereal), I always found my attempts at edgy outfits failed. I would see a pic or someone else wear something (especially in that tumblr era of skater skirts, tights, black lipstick, etc) and I always ended up looking like Morticia Addams, or super vampy, or “mob wife”-not the edgy look I was going for. It always looked too formal. However learning about Kibbe in particular made me realize I need to adopt practically the opposite lines if I want to look edgy, so thinks that look good on dramatics and naturals (oversized garments, straight lines, geometric shapes). It doesn’t “suit” me, and so the contrast that it brings is what gives off an edgy vibe. Another example in the opposite way, “basics” look terrible on me. I used to struggle a lot with wanting to just find some basic, goes-with-everything capsule type pieces but they simply didn’t suit me. I realised, my “basics” need more tailored cuts, more details (lace, ribbons etc), more delicacy (satins or soft wools, not denim or basic cotton). As well, I realised that I vastly prefer having my hair down because it provides the contrast my face and features need within my colouring-if my hair is up, I need to bring more stark contrast to my face some other way.
I think it's more of a fun thing with all these essences and stuff....I feel like if you already know what looks and feels good on you, you should stick to it yk? It could be a good place to start though, if you're entirely clueless
you should try the color analysis studio in melbourne! they have a youtube channel and do really thorough analyses, not just based on hair and eye color. it would be super cool to see you do a collab video with them :’)
I fewl like thoose body type, color season analysis works better for someone with a more minimalistic style. It's about using your own body as a part of what elevates the outfit. But if your style leans more maximalistic you can also elevate with accesories, layers ect. And then perhaps it doesn't matter as much if the fit is perfect for your body, since so much else is going on. If that makes sense
I’ve always been curious about those, but also scared of them. My life revolves around pink and cuteness, and I only feel comfortable in a certain level of modesty. Dark colors and anything mature or sexy make me feel sick as I don’t ever want to be seen that way, so part of me is scared that those things I hate will be the ones I should wear, and the ones I love are actually the worst match for my body 😭
I struggle too cos they said I was a light spring while most of my wardrobe is dark autumn😅 I had the same advice to not go for too much contrast while I feel like my style often lends on fun prints that ends up giving contrast... I have really really naturally black hair, yet they still say I'm a light spring zz so I guess they don't actually see hair colour.

Congrats on the wedding!!! 💒
Yes, yes, yes! Also congrats on your wedding ❤
I would love to see your wedding dress and this video!!!
Congratulations! Absolutely! And a styling the signs video would be so fun
Honestly, all of the outfits that leaned more towards your personal style seemed to suit you the most, in my opinion. Super cool vid idea!
meh, ur own styling suits you 100x better! Plz do an astrology styling vid, and another for 'futuristic every day wearable look' thx!😊

I LOVVVEEE this hair color and cut on you!!!
I think it compliments the color pallet you wear so well🩵

CONGRATS ON THE WEDDING I LOVED SEEING YOUR POSTS !! always a great day when the queen uploads !
the later outfits are so you!! i also think dressing for your body type is so limiting, your style is so superior never stop dressing like u want
I think what we've learned is just that you suit absolutely everything you put together!! Would love to see the video on zodiac signs tho
Congratulations on the wedding!!!! I would love to see the zodiac sign video !

I’ve always thought you suited those pastel cute styling too but I was blown away by how good u look in the astrology one
Congratulations for your wedding! I loved the fits, esp the one with the sweater vest
Your own personal styling is definitely perfect as is, however the colors you wore that matched your color analysis had you glowing!!
everyone wake up Katie posted
I do really like the color analysis colors on you. You did a great job of picking melon, peach, and light yellow pieces.
Omg if you're in Australia and want to try another season color analysis, you should definitely check out Color Analysis Studio 🎉 They have a youtube channel and they seem to be accurate everytime, focusing primarily on the skin ! And they both seem adorable too with a charming italian accent, which is just cherry on top imo 😊 I liked your overview of the different analysis in one video !
that hair color looks sooo good on you. best color i've seen on ya
I have just rediscovered midrise bootcut jeans this past fall and now it makes all the sense because I have a similar build to you, cool to have some "science(???)" backing up my like for them, not just nostalgia for my middle school favorite, lol.
As a fellow soft classic, mid rise boot cut is our save haven
Im a soft summer btw 😆 but my whole wardrobe is white an black! I just cant let go
its so good to see a fellow soft classic that was disapointed seeing all the recommendations were getting is buisness casual.
The ithers I think are helpful for people who need a starting point or some parameters to kickstart their creativity
i am sooooo happy to see you back!!! congrats on getting married 💛💛💛
I've actually been using the essences in another way: Which ones do I like the most and suit my personality? = Mostly gamine and some natural. Which makes it way more fun!
Style for me is more about identity/preferences than body anyways (although I am sure the two can influence eachother?)
I'm also a light spring btw (in a 12 season system, similar to True Colour International), but I've notice there so many different systems and every system has different ways of dividing up the seasons (hue, value, chroma etc.) and different markers of what looks good (although there is a lot over overlap), so that makes for wildly different opinions too, I think.
Congratulations on the nuptials!! I would love to see any wedding content you may have 💍💍
Your color palette definitely suits you 💕
can't wait to see another vid!!!love ur channel!
thank you so much!! 💗 sorry it’s been so long since i posted 😩
A styling video based on Ellie-Jean Royden’s “Body Matrix” would be really fun! I find her system to be very straightforward and practical, and she recently published a book about it!
Congratulations 🎉
Yes, I am interested in a star sign styling video! 😊
would love to see another zodiac video!! we need the update! (edited to add: your hair looks absolutely incredible, that color is perfect on you!!!)
Would love to see you style all the signs!!
omg I’m so ready for this video!
This was SUCH a good video!! So fun to watch 💛
you look so cute in all of these outfits, but i definitely felt the absence of your personal style and therefore they felt more flat than when you let your creativity run wild 🤍 i think these can be great for people who really struggle to enjoy dressing themselves, but you’re a much stronger stylist on your own ❤️❤️❤️ congrats on the vows!!!!!
I think you would love the style of Trixie from Call the Midwife, especially her 60's looks. Call the Midwife is an tv English tv show
I think we NEED an astrology sign-inspired video now. That's such a fun idea!
“I think you guys might be thinking about yourselves too much” -Jemima Kirke
You don't need 10,000 analysis', you already dress in a way that appears to bring you joy and satisfaction
Somehow the last zodiac sign outfit pops most for me. You look very cool, pretty and relaxed in it. De color and shape of the overlay, and the hairstyle are such good choices. Its so different from the recommendations though, makes me wonder if its a con or if someone personal preferrence (me) have the most influence on whether they think it “looks good”
yes! I would love a video styling the zodiac signs!
You dont need them 💞
PS: Im at the part where you revealed your essences and I had guessed them correctly 😁
I'm 5"5, so the height thing doesn't really matter, it's how long or short you look from afar proportion wise.
really great video! totally brightened up my day
i was just stalking your channel 😭🙏
yay perfect timing!! 💫
same😭🤲
The purple dress with the jeans is perfect though 😅😊
I think you do have this chic, princess almost doll look, I can’t describe it 😅
I don't like western body type analysis. This kibbe method sounds more up my alley.
I'm an hourglass, so the suggestions I'm given are always "sexy" clothes. Like, I know that Marilyn Monroe had that body type, but I'm not her. I just want to be comfortable, I'm not interested in being "sexy".
prob. relates to ur essence- u can have the romantic body type but ur essence could be cute
Kibbe method is a western body type analysis

As well, I realised that I vastly prefer having my hair down because it provides the contrast my face and features need within my colouring-if my hair is up, I need to bring more stark contrast to my face some other way.
i LOVE your hair!!!
I think it's more of a fun thing with all these essences and stuff....I feel like if you already know what looks and feels good on you, you should stick to it yk? It could be a good place to start though, if you're entirely clueless
100% here for a "styling the astrology signs" video!!
happy wedding !!
I love classic styles so chic
please do a zodiac style video !! this taurus needs help !
you should try the color analysis studio in melbourne! they have a youtube channel and do really thorough analyses, not just based on hair and eye color. it would be super cool to see you do a collab video with them :’)
I would love info on the belts you have! Love the collection
omgg new videoo, glad ur backk 🩷🩷🩷 congrats on ur weddingg 🩷🩷🩷
