Male leopard, Tingana, was up a Marula tree with his kill. The Styx pride moved into the area, and one lioness stole his kill. There was a bit of a scuffle up the tree as Tingana tried to get away.
What you see here is the benefit of being a pride animal vs solitary. Tingana is more than big & strong enough to hold off one Lioness up a tree. However, unlike the Lioness, he can’t risk injury. She can. As a result, he submits. But do not be mistaken - while she is bigger & stronger than him, she isn’t by much. He could hurt her as badly as she could hurt him.

No! In this bush the wild animals ignore the vehicles because they are a constant presence. Lions "can" climb a tree at times but getting down is often a real struggle.
Even so, I agree that the buses not only distracted the leopard, but then all of the lights being aimed at the scene had to affect the lion's sight, and ability to descend out of the tree after stealing the kill.
Yes D., that could be, but having gone on two safaris, I have found that "in my experience" the animals are not affected by the vehicles. Also, the big cats see ten times better at night than we humans. Take care.
