People who are worthy of office often do not want to run or be apart of politics at all because of all the corruption. I don’t see why it has to be so hard to empathize, sympathize, listen to other perspectives, and try to compromise. I know it can be challenging, debating over things, especially with those unwilling to listen, and the negative side of the older generations (the ones less or not willing to change.).
But, if there is one thing I have seen from my observations of many governments (Through no official research, just what an average citizen can do) it’s that Greed and Pride are often put before people, especially in America. We need more “radical” socialist effects. Not pure socialism, but enough to be like, “Oh look, everyone can go to the doctor, and people don’t have to work 2-4 jobs to meet basic needs such as food, water, shelter, and clothing.” Why is it so hard for people in power to not be horrible people? Honestly!
They would rather see families, especially minorities, oppressed and starved than stop buying new office furniture worth 40 grand per year! Just use the same furniture! Use things, repair things, do that until they actually need to be replaced. That goes for everything that is not a consumable. (Clothes, furniture, utensils, tools, computers, electronics, etc.) Use it as the tool it is instead of trashing it for the latest module....it’s disgusting, and it’s even worse that some things are built to break quickly just so you HAVE to buy more. (Which, Of course, negatively effects the poor who can’t afford the better quality things that won’t break so quickly.)
I could go on and on, but....this country is putrid and I hope it changes or the ones in power keeping it this way rot. We need change for everyone, and we need it now,

"Social issues" is not the only category that separates democrats and republicans. It's not a one dimensional difference. There are several dimensions/categories. In this video, I didn't see a change in beliefs, I saw a change in categories. Want a better America? Vote for more moderates. They don't care about party lines. They care about right and wrong.

Here's something about Kyrsten Sinema you probably didn't know. Her chief of staff's husband was a lobbyist for a big Pharma. Look up the story.

Senator Sinema stands firmly with her donors and future employer. That takes integrity!

Look at their political contributions and personal finances.
Their votes will go to the highest bidders.

A lil fact check: Sinema’s family moved to Florida after her parents divorced and her mom remarried - when Kyrsten was pretty young. She graduated HS when she was 16 and then went to BYU, leaving the Mormon faith soon after that. Then she moved back to AZ. So throw some Florida and Mormon history into the mix, and the potential for these oddities reared it’s head. Add in lots of money from corporate donors, and she found it easy to move to the right in the Democratic Party.
