A while back I emailed the Royal Mint to ask if they planned on producing 1 oz or 5 oz denominations of their silver Britannia bars as I thought it would be much more attractive in terms of size for people who are more collectors, first time buyers and for gifts. I got a response acknowledging that it would be a good idea and about 18 months later the 100g ones came out on the website, although personally I’d prefer a nice 1 oz size. I feel they have missed a trick here and it might come back to bite them. Another thing is that they wouldn’t need to have any of their terrible QC checks as it is bullion and they could charge a higher premium since it costs more to produce.
The Una bars are a very limited run. I really want to get a couple 1oz and 10oz versions. I have the 100oz one, but not the smaller ones. Are they not going to continue the "Great Engravers" series? That would be a bummer!
Also, I bought SEVERAL extra 1oz and 10oz Three Graces bars just in case I could find someone that needed that version, and wanted to trade for one or more of their Una bars.
@@FutureInvestmentsBullion do you know if they're going to discontinue selling the kilo and 500 g bars as well? There are some 100 gram minted bars on their website still. Now I wonder if I should grab several of those.....
They are beautiful to look at even if they have a high premium. I think I have another explanation though................ They need to sort out their issues with milk spotting, quality control (including proofs) and backorders. They also earn more from Gold. Economics 101.
I doubt it does but since it's a government refinery might it have something to do with CBDS's coming in. The gov wanting less people to own gold and silver and grab it all for themselves?
@@FutureInvestmentsBullion should do a video on metal storage/cleaning over time. I store my silver rounds in tubes and a peli case looks smart and makes it more organised.
It seems that this is a big mistake by TRM as they're a great profit maker for them, I'm hoping that they do start making them again as I would be interested in buying them as I haven't got any in my "Stack!"
@FutureInvestments anytime FI it's what we do isn't it, "share", I would love to own a 1oz silver bar and I've written to TRM as well as emailed them about my concerns and how we as "stackers" and "collectors" love to have 1oz silver bars.
I think its pointless having silver bars less than 5 oz when u have 1 oz coins which are CGT free and look much better as well as ability of tube storage
First 🍿
As always! Legend.
I hadnt even heard they had stopped making them, that should increase the premiums on them nicely!
Very True! I hadn't thought about that!
What's the best way to privately sell gold brittania coins and gold sovereigns?
Privately? Cash to a coin shop or through social media.
Any excuse to get the watch in ⌚️
Lol.👌 You beat me to it.🤬👍🏴
Hahah! I did this on purpose for you and Lee..
Is it worth buying the 100g bars they still have up on the website asap, will they also be going?
I don’t know if they’re going. So they are not VAT exempt however it’s better to hold some gold and silver then gold and silver.
Managed to get 4 of those diamonds are forever bars off atkinsons last week. They sold out fast. That una bar is a stunner❤
Oh awesome! Yes, I’ve seen them for sale. A very popular piece. Yes, I really rate the Una & The Lion bars highly.
They are still producing the 10’ounce Britannia bars. I have purchased 3 new ones recently. They came in mint plastic sleeves. I am in the states.
Correct but no longer any 1 Ounce :/

Very true indeed. No doubt them stopping the production of 1 ounce bars.. Should lead to an increase in value to those who already own them.
Value of your bars should skyrocket.👍🏴
Great point!!

Hi WMW! It only appears that they are selling the large Silver Bars. No longer 1 Ounces.
Also, I bought SEVERAL extra 1oz and 10oz Three Graces bars just in case I could find someone that needed that version, and wanted to trade for one or more of their Una bars.
Good Idea - Well now the RM are not selling 1 ounce Silver Bars - It should push the prices up.

Yes I agree. For such a reputable Bullion refinery.. they’re milkspotting issue needs to be sorted asap.
Love my only Una and the lion bar and had to buy second hand.
Me too! My only regret is that I didn't buy more!
I doubt it does but since it's a government refinery might it have something to do with CBDS's coming in. The gov wanting less people to own gold and silver and grab it all for themselves?
Correct. Well said. That’s why people love stacking gold and silver.

Yes, I do understand your point.
I can’t believe that! Such a shame
I know :/ Odd isn’t it.
@@FutureInvestmentsBullion on a better note, they have gone up in value for the people that have them🤷♂️
Very interesting. Good to know. 👍
Glad you enjoyed!
Gold and Silver bars can be put in your pension GCT free.... that's probably the reason - they don't want the peasants getting rich.
I can still buy silver bars 🤷♂️
