Great video as always mate. I’m at my limit with silver which I mostly use as savings in case I need it. Only gold and VUAG for me at the moment going forward

1 Au for every 50Ag oz troy is a comfortable stack ratio for me.
TY for sharing your thoughts on the subject.

I completely agree with that! Though I’m much heavier in Silver.
I’m not rich so I’ve just stacked slow and steady buying 2oz of Silver per week and 1oz of gold per year….been doing that for over 10 years now

I’m stuck at a 30:1 ratio. I enjoy stacking a variety of everything. Out of silver the most weight I own is American silver Eagles and the most weight I own in gold is American gold Buffalos.

I just buy whatever I can. If I see gold is cheaper I get more gold vice versa with silver. I also think of it as barter having more silver 1 oz coin for everyday/smaller purchases like food and water and some gold for a truck or maybe a small boat haha. However, generally having more silver than gold makes sense.

For precious metals, in terms of portfolio value, I try to stay at 75-80% gold and 20-25% silver.

I think my current ratio is 5.4 to 1 plus a tiny bit of platinum. Am no way near my ratio I want to reach but am only a few months in my journey. The only thing holding me back is lack of money.

Is it better to buy fractional gold now that the prices are at all time highs as I guess it will be difficult to sell on 1oz or 1/2 oz gold coins lets say in five or ten years time.

Hello future mate 🤝 hope you're keeping well, great video I enjoyed listening 👍 always good to go through the stack and work things out after while, nice ratio you got on the go 🔥 I'm similar myself and weighted towards gold more! I love the gold 😁 sure silver has alot of room to move but gold is safer imo, my stacks like a savings account for me. Probably won't be stacking much silver going forward unless it's a deal to good to be missed. Im keeping an eye on what the world/big boys are doing and that makes me feel like I'm doing the right thing. I don't care what they're all saying I'm watching what they're buying! Actions speak louder than words init mate and they say always follow the money 👍 anyway watch how you go future mate 🤝

IMO it depends on what you see as having the most potential over the time you expect to hold the investment. Personally I think silver is hugely undervalued compared to gold and has far more potential to increase in value in real terms over the period I expect to hold it (20 years)

What percentage difference do you think gold and silver will have in the next two decades? I stay firm that I think gold will hit $3k before silver hits $40

Nah, The VAT on silver doesn’t matter in the UK…..You get the VAT plus more back when you sell on eBay especially now that it’s free to sell on eBay. Current Silver spot price is £25 yet 1oz Silver bullion in the UK sells for around £35 each on eBay….
Silver has a far better chance of increasing your wealth than gold as you said yourself….Silver is significantly more undervalued than gold! Then SG ratio will close between them 👍🏼 imo you should be far heavier in Silver bud
I also prefer Sovereigns, they are far easier again to sell on eBay 🍻

Warren Buffet wouldn't have to pay VAT, which explains why his investment in silver is more sensible than mine. It works for him, but it wouldn't work for me.

@@FutureInvestmentsBullion That's why my ratio is similar to yours. I have bought silver in the form of jewellery and antique silverware. It's something I can use/wear and enjoy and I may - or not - make money from it. The VAT levy completely disincentivises me from buying investment silver. My drive for investment is British gold coins. No VAT, no CGT, no faffing, no authoritarian influence, and no worrying about fines or prison if I don't declare it, as I am doing nothing illegal, and no income tax either, unless I realise the gold and invest the money in income producing assets. I am just going to acquire just as much of the yellow stuff as I can in the next decade. I don't have any income bearing assets except my work pension, but by the time I come to retire that will be ample to live on.

    • @SimonDeBelleme1
      @SimonDeBelleme1 2 месяца назад

@@FutureInvestmentsBullion Having said that, all the Government have to do to raise the price of silver is to remove the VAT levy on it to make it the same as investment gold.
If they did that I would definitely buy a load, as it would really heat the price up. I would make a packet really quickly.
