    I think personally, we are better off stacking everything from bullion, scrap metals, and ancient coins. Don't just invest in metals though. Spread your wealth and assets. Just never hold to much fiat.

    Thanks, down to earth! Do I agree...yes, maybe😂. Personally I build my basis with 1kg gold bars in various nominations 1-100g, afterwards 20kg in silver bars. Bars are boring to look at, switched to coins, souvenirs, vreneli, philharmonic, krugers, maples. 1 oz gold, tubes in silver. My son said that I am mad, so switched to Perthmint, have whole collection of Kangaroo silver, LunarIII up to now in Silver 1oz and 1/10 gold. Few 1kg silver Rabbits with privy mark...2023 December my retirement. My son still believes that I am crazy😂/addicted... yes platin and paladium also...hate to have money in the bank...Nevertheless, everybody should decide on their financial and what they like. For sure not going to spend x on a new iPhone😂

    if it's close to it's bullion melt value and looks new with a pretty shine, then it's right for anyone's stack. Beyond that, it's good picking up the common coins & bars, when selling back to a dealer they don't like dealing with the oddball unique items, better having that common item they already sell lots of, so they can just add it to the pile and not have to incur any work overhead listing & marketing a unique product.

    USA here, A 1/4 oz gold coin question, please. Presently my budget allows me to buy 1/4, oz's, I am aware of the premiums vs 1ozers, but I always see the 1/4oz gold British Tutor coins at $30+ lower than other 1/4ozers like AGE, Maple, Britannia, etc...I haven’t collected the quarter ounce gold tutor coins in the past, but they are at such a great price being a 1/4oz that it’s frustrating vs buying a more expensive 1/4 gold ones. In your opinion, would you buy these because of the lower price? And why or why not, thank you!!

    • @jonodunn2592

      I would buy as you’re getting more gold for your money and here in the uk they’re capital gains tax free which make them popular over here not sure what your tax laws will be regarding these

      Check out helvetias, french roosters and US pre 33 gold, you'll pay less premium vs fractional bullion, and they're just really neat pieces

    Where is the best place to look for good value gold/silver? Totally new to stacking, I'm also guilty of only using the Royal Mint, but only because I know it won't be fake. Thanks, keep up the good work, really appreciated 👏🏼

    What's best to buy assuming that by best we means best return when its needed then it is usually region dependent .... Based on laws(is it legal) , taxes ( buying and selling) and liquidity( can it be sold quickly and easily). Local gold appears to be best in most parts of the world. In the uk bars aren't advised .... Id also say in general stay away from industrial metals , logically its a negative and works agianst it the majority of the time, it is definitely not a positive .

    I'd argue that quarter Britannias are better than sovereigns as they are pure gold and no need to melt them to get just the gold.

    What would you say is the best size sovereign to buy

  • @spincolor
    @spincolor 5 месяцев назад

    I think sovereigns are only good if bought in the UK. Buying elsewhere incurs tax due to their non-purity. Also, recent sovereigns look like copper coins. Buying older sovereigns (i.e. the ones that actually look like gold) are almost treated like numismatic coins and have added costs. I like my gold to look like gold. Basically, I'd go with recent gold Britannia's as they have great security features and can be purchased close to spot. 1oz is perfect. If older sovereigns were competitively priced, I'd go with them instead.

    • @BackyardBullion
      @BackyardBullion  6 дней назад

      I don't think it will make it skyrocket and a lot of the change in price that has happened in the last 5 years has already been in reaction to the growth of the sector.
