    Your videos have high production value and it comes across that you take this serious and genuinely want to help others. My only criticism is that often your explanations are long winded. If you spend less time to getting to the point, you would be one of the top, if not the top, Subaru Wilderness overlanding channel . Keep the content coming!

    Love your videos as they help so much, and I know I've asked multiple questions on other videos. It's mostly because there is so much conflicting information and experiences on product reviews and forums... for example, I'm looking at Ironman (non-spec C) for my OBW and I'm hearing different things on the lift it provides after installation. Some people don't claim there's any lift at all where as you seem to have gotten exactly what Ironman advertises. It can be confusing to say the least.

      Forums are a rabbit hole of people and their opinions. All I can say is that my kit got me 2" of lift.

    I was very nervous putting my brand new beach cruiser on this rack. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxG6JIgwJhur8_Rg8UeQ3EmePzi_wSncL8 But after reading many reviews I decided to get this one and take a chance. When arrived it was very simple to adjust and put together. I also added spike tape over the metal hooks before securing and tightening the straps, and no scratches. I also purchased the top bar made by the same company so that my cruiser sits straight on the rack without having to turn upside down. Extra bungee cords are used to secure the front wheel from flapping and even piece of mind knowing your bike is secure. Definitely recommend...

    I have the Yakima HD bars with Timberline towers. I use them for my Tepui Kukkenam 3 person tent and Thule overcast 6.5 awning. I have it setup so I can easily install and remove the entire assembly by myself. I am thoroughly pleased wIth the setup. Only one problem I have. I got the shorter bars because I did not want them to stick out. The tent and awning fit nicely for travel, but the awning impedes my ability to extend the fly on that one tent side. I would only need like 1-2 inches additional bar width and it would clear. I’m currently running a 2014 Crosstrek Hybrid, but I’ve been drooling over the Outback Wilderness. The additional cargo space would be so nice. I would add a Yakima EXO cargo box and bike rack/double box.

    • @roamingwithjosh
      @roamingwithjosh  2 года назад

      Right on! I can see your space issue on the load bars and I just don’t think I could go with the 60” bars strictly because how it would look unloaded. Thanks for the comment!

    • @roamingwithjosh

    Hello I was wondering if you had to recalibrate the eyesight safety feature on the Outback Wilderness due to the larger wheels/tires and ironman lift?

    • @roamingwithjosh
      @roamingwithjosh  Год назад

      You do need to re-calibrate. I took it to my dealer and had it done after the installation of the lift. I did not do it when I added the larger wheels before the lift and had no issues. Thanks!

    I surprised that you don't have the Rally Washers on the skid plates to protect those bolts. It would suck to try do an oil change and find that the bolts are completely trashed, and you're unable to access the oil pan, filter, etc. Just a thought.

    only problem ive had with my trigger controller was up in tahoe this winter. i think a mix of the cold and snow on the car, i had a couple times where the buttons would turn my lights on but then lose connection and not turn them off... had to pull over and pop the hood to press the button manually.

    • @roamingwithjosh
      @roamingwithjosh  2 года назад +1

      @@roamingwithjosh it happened to me a few times but only when there was a couple inches of snow on the hood of the car. Wireless comms dont like water so im not surprised. Never had any issues at above freezing temps tho. Biggest downside with this is if/when I install bright lower fogs on my bumper for using in snow storms, it would suck if I can't turn them off consistently...

    • @roamingwithjosh
      @roamingwithjosh  2 года назад

      I totally agree with that. If you’re out chasing and blinding everyone on the road then that would be a huge problem, assuming that’s what you’re talking about.

      @@roamingwithjosh for me my storm chasing is up to the mountains when it snows, so yep :) although the goal is to install some SAE fogs so they will technically be highway legal... but also nice and bright.

    What offset did you need on those LP7 wheels to get proper clearance for the tires? And the ground clearance after the lift and bigger tire 15" from 8.7" factory lift? Is that at the lowest point of the car to the ground? My understanding was the ironman suspension was only a 2" lift? Was I mistaken?

    • @roamingwithjosh
      @roamingwithjosh  2 года назад

      +35 offset for the wheels. The wilderness comes factory at 11” of clearance and my assumption is they did not use the lowest point to get that number. The tires themselves added a little over an inch and adding the 2” lift give the vehicle roughly 15”. The ground clearance number is obviously an arguable one depending on the measurement point.

    • @Sum1snrg
      @Sum1snrg 2 года назад

      @@roamingwithjosh appreciate the reply! We finally got our OBW in a few weeks ago and just really excited to start the aftermarket upgrades. Ive been trying to figure out what order to do things because I cant really afford to do everything I want a the same time. Anyway looking at the clearance numbers it appears its measured at the front of the car? I always thought it was measured to the lowes point of the vehicle. Do you have a suggestion of the order anyone should start when doing one or two upgrades at a time? Would hate to have to do double work by doing things out of order. Thanks!
