Is there an o-ring inside of the cylinder that the gas piston goes into? I was dissembling mine and a torn up o-ring came out of somewhere and it isn't the one from the barrel. Any ideas?
You have a different model than mine. My Panzer AR12 does not have an o-ring inside the gas piston.
@@MrMnmn911 thanks, I'll ask around. Im not sure it came from the gas piston cylinder it just appeared during cleaning and it wasn't the oring from the barrel. Thanks for responding.
@@mccapatr same thing happened to me first time cleaning it. Did you happen to find out what it was? Thanks for any help.
@@saintstone187 no I never got an answer from Panzer. I have shot it a few times since posting and haven't had any issues. Good luck!
@@mccapatr thanks so much for your response.
This video was SO much more helpful than the owners manual. Thanks so much for the tips and tricks. From one guntuber to another, excellent video. I’m reviewing this same gun later this month. I’ll give you a shoutout and a link to your vid in the description for your help here.
Thank you sir! I appreciate it!
Wow, very thorough and detailed description of breaking down, cleaning, oiling, and re-assembling the Panzer AR-12 Shotgun - thanks for the wonderful information!
I just purchased the Panzer Arms AR-12 and this is an excellent tutorial video on disassembly/reassembly. Thanks for sharing!
You're welcome Jeff. A wonderful Christmas present for yourself. Enjoy. Thanks for watching and the thumbs up!
Thank you for the video, the best gun video I've seen on RUclips. Professionally made, very detailed, and provided everything I needed to know. I disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled using your video which made it easy.
Thank you sir! I appreciate you watching, liking and commenting. So glad to hear my video helped. If you haven't already be sure to watch my Panzer AR12 BLAST Review. I was at the range again today and hope to post another video soon. I did have some firing/ammo issues today.
Great video.
Made tear down and re-assembly easy!
And, I must have got lucky, because I had no issues with any rough edges.
Went together like a dream!
Thanks!
Such a good video sir, the details and breakdown are top notch. Please do move videos of your breakdowns !!! I subscribed!
Thanks Justin. I appreciate it
Very grateful for this video. I cannot explain how much it helped me yesterday. 4 years old and still relevant! Thanks MrMnmn911
So glad to hear my video helped. Thanks for watching and liking.
I appreciate the video. New to guns, didnt realize they needed to be cleaned and properly lubed before use. After ~5-7 mags through it at one range day; i had a freak fire by sending the bcg home on safety and immediately broke the whole thing down. Without having the manual your video let me get into it without the fear of bricking the thing
I just bought the Panzer AR12 yesterday. Your video is great and very instructive. I can't wait to get to the range but before I do I will be sure to give it a good cleaning and sand all the points you instructed. Thanks so very much for making this video and sharing your knowledge.
Thanks for commenting Kangaroo Black. Happy shooting!
Excellent instructional video for the Panzer AR12. Just bought one of these bad boys and can’t wait to get it to the range! After a thorough cleaning and tweaking of course.
Glad you found my video helpful J Pyron. Happy shooting!
Amazing disassembly video. Just purchased mine today. Will pick up tomorrow. So excited I cant see straight. Well done, sir.
I think PA got the message... I picked up an AR-12 yesterday and the poor thing was swimming in machine oil. For example, I used a can of compressed air (duster) and blew it down into the trigger group and oil was streaming down the trigger into the trigger guard. I used your, very helpful, video to do a complete tear-down and clean up. Thanks for the great video.
Well done, this is a great example as to how these videos should be done. Thank you.
Thank you sir! Thanks for watching and liking.
I just love the loook of it,been watching this shotgun for sometime now . I gotta get one for my home defense system.
Awesome video!! Helped me a lot with my AR-Twelve I just purchased. It’s a pain in the ass to take apart and clean but needs to be done. Also thanks for the extra little tips.
Thanks for the great vid! Something I do with every firearm I get (new or used) Is disassemble and polish all metal to metal contact parts with wet 1000 grit sand paper to remove machining marks. Then go over every internal part with metal polish using a Dremel and felt wheels. Always makes the action like BUTTAH!
I broke my bolt stop lever trying to get the bolt carrier out. Completely my fault. Sent an email to Dan and he sent me one right away. Great service! Gun works beautifully and smooth now. Thanks for the warranty info. You are the man!
Kudos to Dan! Merry Christmas! 🎄🎁 ✝️
For sure. Merry Christmas buddy!
Really well done! I am considering a purchase of one of these and this shows me what to expect in the way of operational parts and maintenance. Thanks a million!
Hi John. Thanks for watching my video. If you're purchasing one of the newer models, bear in mind that the disassembly is not quite the same. With the Gen3, which is the one in my video, removing the barrel is pretty much like a regular shotgun.
With the newer Panzer AR12 models the barrel attaches to the upper with a "barrel nut", more like an AR15.
It might be difficult to vision in your mind, until you get your shotgun in your hand and begin to dissassemle it.
Just purchased one of these Panzer Arms AR-12 shotguns and was looking for a good stripping / cleaning video. You’re Video Was Absolutely Perfect and In-depth. Thank you very much for a Great Help Video! Have a great day.
You're very welcome Jerry. Glad my video helped. Thanks for the thumbs up. Happy shooting!
Very helpful video, thank you Sir.
Well done video. I never comment on any videos but this was great. Clear and good audio. Thanks.👍
Thanks James. I appreciate your comment and your thumbs up.
Just wanted to add that it is recommended to not use steel or brass brushes in these barrels as they are chrome lined. It is only recommended to use plastic brushes inside the barrel. Steel or brass will prematurely wear out the chrome in your barrel and shorten the life of your barrel.
That is funny mine came with a brass brush
Fantastic work, my friend.
Thank you very much for the thorough video.
You're welcome. Thank you very much for watching and liking. Glad my video helped.
Outstanding! I have the Emporor Arms version of this AR12. It's basically identical. Thanks for posting!
Followed this video and it was perfect. The Bolt stopper is still a pain in my a$$. But this video is Flawless. Thanks again. 👊🏾👏🏽
+PostalPhis You're welcome. Try my smoothing tips. I found them to be extremely helpful in making the disassembly and reassembly easier. I know it's a pain to have to work so hard and long to smooth these mechanisms out but I think it's SO much easier to take the time to do these after fighting so long with them. After spending some time to smooth these mechanisms out it was a *WHOLE LOT less frustrating!*
THANK YOU! There would have been NO WAY to do this successfully if all you had for reference was the manual. You're a life saver. I bet there are a lot of people that are Happy with their shotguns because of you. Personally, I'd have probably returned it had I not watched this. :-)
You're very welcome Jon. Glad my video helped.
Wow man that was a very good and instructional video I actually sent it to myself because I just purchased one of these shotgun. Sir if I had to grade your video I would give it 5 stars very very very well done thank you.
Thank you so much for your comment. Glad to hear my video helped.
Great video!! I looked at one today and I’m going back tomorrow to get it. Because I was worried about the breakdown of it. So appreciate your video.. it was very helpful.
Thanks 🙏🏾
You're very welcome K. Mac! Glad to hear my video helped. You might have some failure to eject issues at first. Most people have reported that you'll need to shoot about 300 rounds through it before it will work into sweetness.
Happy shooting.
EXCELLENT presentation! I have a feeling I might need to refer back soon! Thank you Sir!!
I have a emperor cobra 12 and it is nearly the same. Thanks for the video.
Very helpful prior to purchase - very helpful in understanding the weapon
GREAT VIDEO. Thanks! Very pleased with this for under $400 I can keep it in my car and it fits in my locking gun mount. I wouldn't jostle my Beretta or Bernelli around day in and day out in my car in the rain but this one will serve me well, especially with a couple of ten round mags. It shoots quite well, I load my own THANK GOD as ammo is hard to find now. ALWAYS fires nicely. When I first got it there was a lot of fine crud in it. Cleaning these is crucial if you want them to work properly, most people are new to semi-auto shotguns. These need to be clean or they can act finicky.
The video is greatly appreciated. The manual left me a bit overwhelmed. I will definitely clean this monster before going out to the range. Every part you said was super stiff is the same on mine.
+PostalPhish Great to hear my video helped you PP! Happy shooting! Check out my Panzer Blast video, if you haven't already. I just got through cleaning my Panzer and my AR15 pistol. Hope to hit the range again in about a month or so for another BLAST! Thanks for the thumbs up!
I thoroughly enjoyed your video even though I do not own a Panzer AR12. I do own an Emperor Arms Cobra 12 which seems to be similarly built. It was a recent purchase. Heck, I might still get a Panzer to add to my growing collection. Thank you Sir.
Great information... actually helpful for a new shooter
I ain’t go lie you came with this video... I just brought mines today and I had to put some muscle to break this shit down nice vid big man 💪🏾
Thanks man. Glad my video helped. Happy shooting!
Thank you for this vid. I’ve taken this exact brand new oily gun out twice. Prior to watching this video. Nothing but feed and ejection issues. Just praying these issues are my fault and not the gun’s. Because I really like the look and feel of it. Just cleaned it and will only run 1300 FPS or higher this week. Your vid was great and hope it makes all the difference.
You're welcome. It did take mine about 300 rounds before it seemed to smooth out. The last time I was at the range it ran even low recoil rounds with no problem. Good luck on your Panzer AR12 journey.
When cleaned it did you put back feed ramp switch horizontally? If vertical may cause issues.
The bolt/BCG almost looks like An SKS design, thank you for your time and knowledge of this video
Great video. Good call on the #40 O-Rings too. The original broke during the third cleaning
Mike Cobb Thanks for commenting. Glad to hear my video helped.
Thank you I had been looking for a Charles Daly AR-12s disassembly but couldn't find any but your was the closest to it. They almost identical with even with grease. The difference is the Daly is missing the muzzle break, but has two plastic pieces on the hand guard. But thank you again for a great video.
Very well-done video, thank you for your time to educate.
You're welcome. Glad my video helped. Thanks for watching and liking.
Got mine for father's day and there were no instructions. (like i read them anyway), but seriously, this vid helped soooooooooo much!!! Best one on you tube, thanks bud!
pepperdog Good deal my friend! Happy Father’s Day! Thanks for watching and liking!

Very clear understanding , you took your time to explain the procedure for people like me , THE BEST VIDEO YET...... Thank you .
You're very welcome Body and Soul. I appreciate the comment and the thumbs up! Have a great and safe Labor Day weekend!
YOU AS WELL ...............
GUNTUBER OF THE YEAR for this video alone 😂👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I literally took a Dremel and a tungsten carbide killing bit and milled down the slot on the charging handle. Now I can remove it by hand.
This is a freaking great video, thanks man!
You're welcome. Glad you found it helpful. Thanks for the thumbs up.
I don't usually like and comment but this video was very helpful.
Thanks Matt. I appreciate it.
Like a few other people I couldn't get the charging handle out. I had to wrap it in a piece of rubber and then put vice grips on it and beat the vice grips with a mallet. It finally came out. I couldn't even get it back in. I had to take a dremel and grind the charging handle down a little and then polish it smooth. There is a spring loaded ball bearing in the slot and that is part of what made it tight. I still have to put some force on it but I can now get it out and back in.
Im having the same issue. It wont come out at all
I'm looking to purchase one of these and came across your video great video very informative I did subscribe
Excellent video. Exactly what I needed! Thnx
Al Boogie Glad to hear my video helped. Thanks for the thumbs up.
Thank you a Lot! Greetings from Brasil
5 Stars & a cold beer bro ! Thanks
Very detailed and informative, thank you
Thank you sir. Thanks for watching and liking!
Thank you so much. I have the ar 12 pro. Coming. Now I know to clean it first.
I just purchased one too Friday December yesterday 10th 2021
Very nicely done video. Thank you.
David Thank you sir! Hope it helped you out.
I noticed comments referring to similarities between Panzer's AR-12, Citadel's BOSS, Garaysar's FEAR, and Rock Island's VR's. Those companies are importers who are buying their inventory from the same manufacturer: Axor Silah Sanayi (Axor Arms). With minor cosmetic/style differences, the guns are identical.
And Radikal Firearms (SDS NKX-3
Thank you very much for your time in making this video.
You're very welcome James. Glad you found my video helpful. Thanks for the thumbs up.
@@MrMnmn911 After watching I feel very good about purchasing this Shotgun. I do have a question. What is your opinion on the 410 model?
James Malone I didn’t know they made this in .410, so I can’t say.
@@MrMnmn911 There are some videos here on RUclips if you get a chance. I like the AR 12, but I think my wife and daughter could handle a 410 a little better.
Well done!! Just bought one today!!
Good choice!
Really good breakdown and assemble vid kudos to yah
Glad you enjoyed it!
I had to really pull hard on the charging handle with pliers to get it out. Great video. Thanks for the tips
Yeah. It is hard. Now that you got it out, work it good and smooth it down. It will take a while but it will be worth it.
@@MrMnmn911 is there a danger of accidentally pulling the charging handle out during operation?
@@billyelliot78 Yes. Don’t do that.
This was great, thank you so much!
I use a flywheel puller to actually get the barrel out, works like a charm
Nice job!! Thanks for a great vid!!
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you, very informative.
Very informative video!
Great video! Thanks!!
AWESOME VIDEO!
Dawn. What i nice quality video
I domt even have this shotgun. But I enjoyed watching it
I have the same tool on its way.
Looks fun
I just received my ar12 from Brownells today. This video is very helpful. Definitely will clean it first before taking it to the range👍
Cleaned the Panzer using Mr. M's video, went to the range, and fired the AR-12 for the 1st time. The first 2 magazines had 3 stove pipes & one FTE but after that, fired the next 30 rounds with no issues. Ammo was mixed using Federal Field & Target Multi-purpose and Winchester Universal both 1200 FPS, cheap Walmart shells. What a fun gun to shoot. If buying, need to check dansammo.com since he is the warranty dealer and sells the Panzer online at the same price as the big stores. I wish I had known before buying. The problems I had with the first 2 magazines might have been because I wasn't holding the gun tight enough to my shoulder. After that, I made an effort to hold tight and no problems.
Great video!
Thanks for this!
You're welcome. Thanks for the thumbs up.
Fantastic video. Thank you.
You're welcome Ronald. Glad my video helped and that you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching and liking.
Very helpful and through.
Damn the is Professional job thank you sir
Hey brother that was a fantastic video. Very well put together and the armory would take that weapon back like 50% of the time. Thanks.
You're welcome. Glad you enjoyed my video. I still have it and it still shoots well. Happy shooting.

Great video thank you!

Great video.
Great video. Really helped out a lot. The only difference with mine was that my stalk has a 6mm Allen head bolt.
Stalk? Stock?
Great Video!!!!
Well done, if you can do an instructional video and have no questions you did a great job. Some videos don't show the small things like they are insignificant , those are the things that trip us up not nothing how everything works.
Glad you found my video helpful! Thanks for watching and liking!
Well made video , i just subscribed.
If you could do a detailed video like this on the Panzer SCR Xll would be great. Really good instructions
This is an excellent tutorial in breaking down, cleaning, and reassembling the Panzer Arms AR12 - just be aware that the shotgun in this video is actually the Pro Model and not the Gen 3; this is evident by the handguard which is metal on the Pro Model and Synthetic on the Gen 3.
That charging handle is the devil. I scraped my fingers raw and left plier teeth scratches all over the charging handle. I finally got the idea of using a claw hammer. I lined up the groove and carefully pried it out. Tiny burrs on the charging handle were keeping me from being able to pull it out. I'll have to smooth them out with an emery board before I reassemble.
Yes. It really is difficult. Thanks for watching and liking.
I can't get mine out either ! Thank you im going to try the claw on the hammer 🔨
@@davidstewart3144 try a rag or gloves so don't hurt fingers wiggle and pull
Thanks!
Thanks
Just a word of caution. The O Ring on the muzzle supplied with the gun will resist permanent deformation at high temperatures. The O Rings you purchased in the pack while dimensionally equivalent are likely to be manufactured in NBR or similar which is suitable for use in domestic plumbing.
Might I suggest you report in another video down the line on the longevity of your purchased O Rings when installed on the muzzle. The video is excellent and should be mandatory viewing for all new owners. Many thanks for the time and effort you took with this.
Thanks Michael. The O-ring supplied with the gun did not resist permanent deformation at high temperatures. The supplied O-ring deteriorated quickly. That is why is purchased the ones I showed. In the 21st century almost all O-ring rings are made of Nitrile. The rings are cheap, very cheap. Not to hard to have them handy. Some have suggested to purchase the rings from an auto body shop because they would be more resistant to heat deterioration. I'm not sure that is correct. The O-rings I show did last just a little bit longer, but not much longer. Rapid and continued firing does heat up the barrel quickly. Until someone can produce video evidence of other O-rings, lasting much longer, I don't think it really matters. Thanks for watching and commenting.
WOW.....What timing....fire BAMBAM....this morning .sot 65 rounds...jam 2 times with the feed...notice one of the 2mags was hard to put the shells in.....i guess i have to shoot more to break it in ......i'll be watching this video for sure....
Hey, hey. Got it out just in time for you. :-) I'm hoping to hit the range very soon. I've kept my mags loaded just to break the springs in. I noticed the shells were a little hard to put in. Most likely because they're new. I've even loaded and emptied them by hand several times just to break them in as much as possible. I'll be posting a video on my shooting at the range when I get a chance. I did my best to make the video as descriptive as possible. It's kind of long but I think the information is worthwhile. Thanks for watching and liking my video!
Thank you.
Great Video, Really... smith or not, getting into the guts of a gun doesnt take much, if youre mechanically inclined. Thanks!
Very nice. I likey 👍

very professional editing.
Thank you sir! I appreciate the thumbs up. Please share if you can. Thanks for watching and commenting!
sure bro! i have a quick question, classic firearms has run out of those fr-99 10 round magazines, do you know if any other brand of magazine is compatible with this shotgun? what about drum mags or magazines larger than 10 rounds?
The only 10 round magazines that will properly fit are the FR9910's. I don't know of any other. I haven't found a drum magazine saying it will specifically fit the Panzer AR12, or any larger than 10 rounds. A drum mag would be so sweet. :-)
thanks for the quick reply and good info!
The 1/2 in socket doesn’t work on the bolt in my stock. The bolt is rounded. I’m not sure how to get it out.
The #40 O-Ring is available in different materials, the best for this application is Viton, it has a much higher temperature tolerance (+450 F) than the plumbing o-rings.
Where can you purchase the Viton O-ring at this same size? How much does it cost? Thanks.
I just purchase one so I need to do this
Awesome video. Thank u. I am having a huge issue myself, maybe someone can give advise. My charging handle will not come out for the life of me. Ive trued everything i can think of. Any ideas?
