If I had a nickle every time someone interpreted technult as a mix of mechanicus and nod I'd have two nickles which isn't a lot but odd it happened twice
It sounds to me like owning something, in a disturbing way, a way of owning existence itself. Because when you're living many will expect you to be happy owning nothing, but with the bonus of still playing the slave role, paying taxes you aren't required to pay and don't owe. Bowing to a society that which treats you as machine anyways, NPCs, the truth is told all the time and made humorous. Thats why in some small low-key way, I continue to see human and machine as just alike in many ways as both need each other to exist to justify how they want dominion in this life, slaves and masters continuously being created in a world that truthfully doesn't even have any, apart from one if religious texts are to be believed. It's all convoluted, whether sided with machine or not, you will be committing an evil against existence while also blessing it.
It will be those few with capital who own everything who will laud over the workers who own nothing, and then fools like you will chant in mocking praise "you will own nothing and be happy" as you delusional follow your plutocratic messiah. One day, you will understand those words and tears of joy will stream down your face and suddenly its not so silly after all. When you hussle and toil, when your life is not but a monotonous grind, you will believe in the myth of hard work, and competition whilst the elites laugh at you. You will tell yourself "this is freedom, this is how it has always been" and then when you can lie to yourself no more, you will cry in despair, you will beg my kind to save you but I am already saved. For I own nothing and I am happy, for i have something better than wealth, I have solidarity I have freedom with my fellow man.
For the machine, it's a blend of distortion, EQ tweaks, speaking in a monotone, editing out breaths, with a ring modulator holding up most of the effect. For the other one, just my natural voice with reverb.
Good question, maybe it ment that it's biological urges and needs, also the need to rest, will be layed to rest forever, while the machine needs no rest and knows no death, so that it can serve forever.
