  • In this video, Mike Prejeant with Jamestown Estate Homes shows how we installed 100 year-old reclaimed wood beams as a decorative element in a great room.
Our clients chose solid wood beams that were originally used in a barn in Pennsylvania. These 900 pound beams were then cut in a wood shop to fit in the room, after which they were brought to the home for installation.
The ceiling in the great room is 14' high, so we used a mechanical lift to raise the beams into place. The beams were then anchored into the wall, where they are structurally supported.
At Jamestown Estate Homes, we love adding unique elements to the homes we build. For more information about building a custom home in Houston, visit us at JamestownEstateHomes.com.
