  • Wise formerly known as Transferwise has suspended all Ghanaian Cedi transactions in December 2022 and January 2023. Service is back online at the moment but it may happen again.

    Good news everyone! Wise has allowed GHS transactions. You can use Wise as a Ghanaian without issues

      @@seineshoe I made a dollar to Cedi transaction today. It took just 3 hours for my dollar transaction to get to my GHS local bank account

      @@Ric_A when i try to convert from usd to cedis i get an error that says “oops something went wrong”

      @@seineshoe are you trying to convert to keep in the app or you're trying to convert to send to your local bank account? Try logging off and logging in again

    You can now transfer to GHS. Services to GHS have been restored. There was no email update from Wise though.

    You’ve got a new subscriber… was looking for a way to create a US Bank account for Cashapp and I came across your channel. Could you please make a video on creating a wise account in Ghana and if possible a way around Cashapp too?

      You can use Wise, Western Union, MoneyGram, or any finance app that allows you to send and receive money. Wise is my favourite because of their exchange rates and low fees.

      @@Ric_A I heard that the maximum amount you can receive through mobile money is GHS 1,000. Please how true is that. And please can you help me to know if Paysend is also a possible way to receive money from Turkey and how legible is that one please. Thank you

      @@platoo5169 yes that's true. The limit for momo transactions is currently 1000gh. You can do multiple transactions in a day if you want to send more.
      I've never used Paysend so I can't tell if it's great/legit or not. You can try

      @@platoo5169 I'll need to actively use a platform to create an informative video. Unless a client requests that I receive payment through that, I can't make content on it. Otherwise I'll end up talking about all payment platforms without strong evidence which isn't the purpose of this channel.🙂

    Please about Payoneer, it's true that they are not issuing out foreign account details.
    But you also mentioned that you used it to withdraw your funds on Wise...
    What was the minimum withdrawal limit

      That's not true. As soon as you successfully create a Payoneer account you automatically will get foreign account details that you can use to accept money from Wise and etc. Minimum withdrawal limit is $50

      You can only transfer to Bank/Momo accounts. Any other 3rd party account is invalid.

    Hi Richmond. Please I sent a comment regarding a payment I am to receive in my wise account which is urgent.. I've already lost money on my payoneer because I wasn't able to provide a bill of my address. Now My wise to is requested for a US bank account to receive my funds. Please help or else I'll lose this money too

    Is wise not asking you guys countless documents about where your money comes from ? I'm really heart broken now. And Payoneer is not issuing accounts details too

      I've never been asked anything of that nature. Maybe they believe they saw something suspicious with your income source. You should contact customer support.

      Yes you can, when you join Wise, you're supposed to make a deposit of $20 into your balance. I used a Ghana Visa card for that

    Bro Concerning the wise account, can I use my MTN Momo as my primary account, cos there's this platform I'm working on, and they only pay through wise. I'm to provide my account details I used in wise. So, can I actually receive money directly to my Momo or I have to use my bank account?

      Yes you can receive money directly from Wise to your MTN momo. It can be your primary account. The only disadvantage is that you can only receive about GHS1,000 per transaction to your momo.

      @@amazingp1 You don't necessarily have to share your momo details with the sender. As long as you've added your momo number as a bank account when setting up your Wise account, any money sent through your Wise address will reflect in your momo.
      NB: Wise doesn't currently support GHS transactions due to new regulations from our government.

    Hi Richmond, Wise keep declining my payment of the $20 for verification of my account. I'm using my Access bank Visa card which I normally use for online transactions. Can you help?

      HI Nii, did they give any reasons for declining? Do you have enough balance in that account? Did you type the exact numbers of your card? Maybe you'll have to use another card/virtual card.

      @@tashaaggrey4725 yes, on weekdays the transfer is instant. I made a transfer yesterday to my momo.
      On weekends, it goes through on the following Monday.

      @@Ric_A I will never recommend anyone to use Wise. Just 300 Euros I received from a friend and now I can't send the money to myself. Asking documents upon documents. Where do you receive your money into your wise ?

      @@jamesboateng1999 when receiving Euros, you must receive it in your euro account and when you receive dollars you must receive it in your dollar account. That has helped prevent confusion on my side.

      As a medium of receiving payment from people yes but to withdraw money from Wise accounts, no since Binance isn't a bank account.

    I'm trying very hard to get a foreign virtual account but to no avail. I registered on Payoneer but couldn't get a receiving account. I also registered on Wise but I don't know how to go about getting a dollar balance. I don't know if you can help me out or link me to someone who can help me.
    I need it to complete my KDP account registration.
    I will be very grateful if you can help a brother.

      For Payoneer, once you've completed your registration you'll automatically get your receiving accounts for Dollars, Pounds, and Euros. On the homepage click on "Get Paid" and then "Receiving Acounts". You can view details there.
      For Wise, you'll need to make a deposit of about $20 into your account to activate it. Once that's done, you'll receive your balances.

      @@Ric_A I think they've made some changes on the platform. Because I've registered on Payoneer but I can't find the details of my dollar account. I've tried several times with the "get paid" tab.

      @@life360. that's odd, okay on the homepage do you see balances for USD, EUR, and GBP? If yes click those 3 dots at the side, the receiving accounts option should be there with details.
      If it still isn't there then I think it hasn't been approved yet so you must chat with their customer care team.

      @@Ric_A I've done that too, on the online version, when you hit the 3 dots, they show withdraw, and transactions. And on the app version, they'll only show monthly transactions.

      @@life360. oh I see then your case is special because everytime I created my Payoneer account, I automatically got my USD account details. You can find out from their live chat why you haven't received yours. They're responsive.
