Yes never take apples from anyone and every year I check my kids baskets to make sure everything is safe to eat. Not sure how they are planning to do it this year...I saw costumes and accessories in shops with buckets and sweets on sale!! But even my kids know that this year there is no trick or treat. My sister is planning to fill a couple of buckets with their favourite sweets and snacks and dropping them off!! So they will still get sweets!! 😁

Our Diwali tradition is quite same as Halloween.. just we don't wear costume but the best new dress ( for some only one new dress in whole year... as we normally get pass it down cloths from elder siblings and cousins). Then on the next day of Diwali the Hindu new year day... we all kids togather go to each of our Society members house, wish them Happy New Year(saal mubarak) then we get chocolates and Indian sweets or cash🤑.
