For younger folks today, you don't know how amazing it was to see this trailer as a kid. There was no internet. You had zero idea what movies were coming out. You only saw trailers when you were sitting in the theater. Close to opening date, you would get 15 or 30 second TV spot but that's it.
Not one comment on burgess Meredith who played mickey the boxing coach /manager . Such an underrated actor .
Stallone is awesome in these films but boy do I love Burgess Meridith, Talia Shire, Burt Young, and Carl Weathers. They're all in my DNA by now!!!!

It's well established that Rocky is left handed, however when he signs an autograph for the nurse and for a patient outside the hospital at the beginning of the movie, he uses his right hand.
I'm left-handed but do a variety of sports right-handed - darts, cricket...

Rocky II felt like a cash grab at first, but hit me with emotional moments and gives a climatic fight with Apollo Creed again.
Rocky II is an outstanding, underrated movie. It packs an emotional wallop.
This must’ve knocked peoples SOCKS off in the theater. What a trailer!!

When you're in 2nd grade, just at the theater to see something like the Muppet Movie, and the trailer for Rocky II is shown -- that's a pretty memorable, life-changing event. The first Rocky was incredible, and the sequel did more than its fair share in following it up. Hard to say which film was better -- both the original Rocky and part II far outshine the successive films.
I recently watched all the Rockys for the very first time and I love Rocky 1 and 2, 2 is my favorite Rocky.. but as soon as I played part 3 and that inring moment happens with Rocky and Thunderlips, it instantly feels like a completely different style of movie... Was really let down with 3 and 4.. I actually like 5 and Balboa was fantastic.
P.S. I was born in the 80s and I love my 80s movies but the 80s didnt do the Rocky films justice imo.
@@ColorsBright Yes, Balboa was surprisingly good, especially for how long the time gap was between part 5 and Rocky Balboa -- probably at least 15 years?

Best one out of the series
Great sequel, nothing's going to top the 1976 classic but it was very well directed by Stallone.
Stallone always planned to make Rocky a trilogy, personally I think Rocky II was the perfect conclusion to the character and the series.
Rocky gets married, has a kid, gets another shot at the title and this time beats the Champion of the World. Rocky did it! Could have and should have ended after II.

Back when trailers didn't tell you everything but instead left enough holes in them to make you want to see the movie to find out what happens.

Otra de mis preferidas, ROCKY II, también es épica, realmente stallone con su personaje, te saca muchas risas, es un tipazo, y la pelea con apollo, caray, para la historia.

Am i the only one who feels bad for Apollo Creed in this one? Remember this... behind every heel is someone who believes they're right
I take it the term 'spoiler' didn't exist in 1979. This trailer includes everything in the plot, except whether Rocky wins or not - that's the only thing they leave out. This trailer so would have p***ed me off if I saw it before I saw the film. They summarised everything inside 3 minutes. I suppose they must have been so afraid that Rocky II might flop they decided to show everything. Sheesh.
Notice how you didn't even get a single scene or punch from the fight? Trailers used to know how to just give you a teaser of what to expect. Now this same trailer would have shown half the fight and ehat their faces looked like at the end
