everything is brilliant. if i could just make 1 tiny suggestion....your charming wall sconce would ( i think) look much more appropriate with either just chandelier bulbs w/o shades, or a much smaller shades, either bell, scalloped.or fancy octagon shape, in an ivory color to look more authentically vintage.
I agree with you and I've been looking for some like that at a reasonable price, but havens found any!

Watched your video again - lol - I really like your house - I have white walls and dark woodwork, although, unfortunately mine is a little more orange than yours , but there is reallly too much of it to change ! A couple of things I wanted to comment on - the shelf that you referred to as more mid century modern - even though you might not have bought it today, I really love it with your collection of candlesticks on it - I would definitely just leave it as is - now, again, this are just my opinions and I’m no expert, but I think your whit trunk would look so good if the hardware was more of a rusted look - I think it would look so much more authentic - and one last thing - I think you could go with something much grander on your dining room table - looking forward to seeing your progress !

Love your style, I love old things too, only thing I would caution is to resist the urge to paint too much, it can come off to crafty and not authentic, I have been inspired though, you have a good eye!

Hey Liz! Congratulations on so many followers! You are too cool! Anyway, I am getting ready to hang a big picture and am looking for your little trick with the masking tape. It’s been at least two months I’m guessing. It was something you hung in the dining or living room and i swear it was blue tape. I did find a small mirror you hung over a door to mimic a transom window, but you didn’t quite esplain how to put the tape on the item, not just the wall. Or did you? I think I’ll just try taping all the way across the top of pic (on the wall where it is to be placed) and then measure down. So, happy trails, best wishes and may He richly bless you as you continue to bless others!
Hi Cecilia, thanks lol! You just take the painters tape and rip off a section as long as the object you are hanging. Mark where the hanging hardware is. Place the tape on the wall, use a level, measure etc using your tape template. Place your screws/nails where you marked and voila! Hope this was helpful!

Sure! It's Behr Marquee in "Bit of Sugar" It's a very powdery, velvety-looking white (if that makes sense) a tiny bit on the cooler side.

Pillow pattern …Toile is also known as Toile du Jouy. This is pronounced twäl-də-'zhwē and is translated as “cloth of Jouy” after the city in France where the fabric was manufactured.

Thank you! My sofas are love seats from Ikea in the Ektorp line I believe. They have slip covers, so they can be washed - which is a huge plus!

Some of the pieces, in and of themselves, are quite beautiful. Take en masse, the look is tacky. Do you know what shabby means? It means inferior--look it up. Overall everything looks washed and bleached out. I bet this style won't be your forever style.
