hi there! when i try to make a plane tree like that it puts a black background outside the edge of the tree and fills the whole plane instead of just the image of the tree like yours does. i'm quite sure the png i'm using has no background so why would this be happening and how can i fix it? this tutorial has been so helpful thank you!
Is there a way to ensure that the textures on the models all have the same pixel count? I always end up with some textures having a lot more pixels than others in the same object. Is there a way to texture something with full res, and then distributing pixels around the object uniformely?
What's the benefits of Godot over PSY-Q? I feel it may be better to use Windows NT and Softimage for the modelling because that's what was used for PS1 development. Combine that PSY-Q and you can make legit PS1 games. To have them run on PC you just build in an emulator into the executable. Thoughts?
These aren't really meant to be played on a ps1. There's been this kind of trend of people making games that are in the STYLE of ps1 games. Especially horror games. Also the thing isn't really making games accurate to PS1 it's more just about the style and the feeling it gives (nostalgia).
I want to hack Super Street Fighter 2 turbo graphics any pointers or clues on how to change the backgrounds or add in objects that I can break in a bonus round
It takes skill to condense that much information in just 4 minutes
This is inspirational and aspirational. Thank you! Also enjoyed the tunes and humor, keep it up!
That’s amazing to hear! Is there something soecific you’d like to see in an upcoming video?
@@binbunYT maybe something about ps1 character creation? Nothing crazy, like how to make pointy-boob Laura Croft or something lol
Instant subscribe. Informative and to the point. No attention-grabbing tricks or shouting... just good info. Looking forward to more of your content.
I love this, would be really interested in seeing you incorporate a PS1 shader into the mix to simulate the other graphical effects as well.
You're the best man, please do a Blender tutorial for beginners... You just made me not want to give up life
This was great, would love to see more in the same style. Especially terrains, foilage/trees. Really anything lol.
I subbed at “as you can see the texture is fucked up” 😂😂
Great video. Very quick but packed with info.
Found this on reddit, appreciated!
That was interesting, thanks!
its really awesome and your tutorial is so simple and good, thanks buddy i just saved the video
Thanks I appreciate it!
I'll subscribe. Saw on reddit and upvoted

I never owned one. Mu friend did though, and I have some fond memories of playing with them
Thankyou guga
How did you do that with the tree? Because, by my selfe i can see the blackrender, when you konw what i mean.
In the Shading tab, on your Image Node, plug the alpha to the other alpha. Also make sure your image is an actually png too
How did you setup the lighting in this tutorial or was there no light source?
how do you index the colours of the image?
Great and concise tutorial. Love it! ps: Do you happen to be Finnish by any chance?
I do happen to be Finnish yes haha
@@binbunYT i may be finnish but the only thin i am is a fish fin in reality
Awesome! :) Also came from Reddit. Subscribing!

How do you do this in Unreal Engine
Thank you, so much.

UPDATE: I solved it lol. Images as planes addon.
it is good but take a gaze to texel density special if you are using a whole massive object.

This is called texel density. There is a lot of information and tools out there to help you achieve a uniform pixel scale across all objects
ps1 style is good for horror games and animations
how did you shape the tree leaves??
it is just flat square plane with texture
the texture had the shape I guess
Literally every indie horror game nowadays:
Dont hate the player, hate the game. (Is that a funny pun to say?)
