Hey Eddie !!! Fantastic Giveaway Brother !!! There is NO Substitute for Supervised Hands on Training !!! It is Important that You Learn the Proper Safety Procedures , Under the Supervision of Qualified Service Personnel , before You Service Air Conditioning Equipment on your Own !!! Electrical Shock happens when Electricity flows thru your Body !!! High Voltage Levels are ALWAYS Dangerous , however even Low Voltages can be Lethal !!! Even 40 Volts can be LETHAL if Skin is Wet or Damaged !!!
Thanks Eddie, Good advise... sometimes folks don't use the noggin, my cousin was working construction using a skill saw on someones driveway cutting wood and standing in a poodle of water and of corse was electricuted... He did not die but now he can not walk and his speach is slured and has minor brain damage. What gets me is that most of the driveway was dry except for where he decided to stand and cut wood? It only takes a second to loose your life.
FLUKE Eddie, been watching Fritz' vid' for 2 years and yours for a year...as far as HVAC talk is concerned I do not see any hacks in either of your vid's, but I am only a 19 year HVAC/R Master Journeyman. I know professionals when I see them, this is why I have been following yours and Fritz' vid's. Thanks for all your great work for our community! Wishing you the best!!
Hi Eddie!! Great video as all the rest of yours. Excellent idea to let us know the importance of how to handle electricity, and do it the right way. Thank you again for the time you take to do this videos!! By the way I should write "FLUKE 87" LOL!!!
"FLUKE" I'm with you on the safety Eddie! Especially with electricity. Even the pro's get hurt and killed with years of training. Not something to play with! Keep the videos coming. I love 'em.
fluke that unit is still HOT!! I'm a big fan of the non contact probes as a double check. More than once I figure out later the contactor was hot o-: Tip: used some adhesive heat shrink on your drivers. This way you have one more way to protect yourself.
Fluke Just want to say thanks for sharing your knowledge. I have learned a lot more from you, Fritz, Dr. Z, Dallas, and others that I never had a clue about from school. Wish I could work with one of you guys for a while. My real name is Frix Smith from Texarkana, Texas.
Good deal Eddie. When testing that voltage remember guys that idf you're sweaty or the ground is wet/damp, the danger increases. Also, try to learn to have ONLY one hand/arm inside a unit at a time. Utilize the alligator clips. I was looking at that Fieldpiece Eddie about a month ago,LOL. I wondered out loud, it's not a Testo, but wonder if Eddie has this or knows about it. Now I know and will swing back by and grab it. Take care buddy,Brett .
Wow your generosity is amazing man! Keep up the good work, I enjoy watching your videos! I would enter in the competition as I'm looking to enter the field myself and from what I heard the Fluke 87 is an awesome meter but I already picked myself up a UEI DL379. Someone sure will be very happy with this one!
well you are totally rigth some times people (some self call technicians) will leave live wires with out caps even and more often in comercial so any one out there please always pull the disconet before you try to ope the unit
