What we used to do if we had excessive cocking lever support to bolt carrier gap was just silver solder a washer to the end of the cocking lever support. Then chuck it in the lathe and open up the center bore for recoil spring rod clearance. On guns that were stuck like yours we would wedge a small piece of whatever we had that would fit into the gap. All it had to do was get the lever to move the carrier just a couple millimeters.
