    Is this video for real?
I’m not a fan of overseas, and I agree it’s too big for many wrists, but VC is a true high horology brand that is at least two tiers above Rolex. Not to mention Daytona is just an overhyped model, whereas overseas has so much more to offer.

VC all day long. It can be worn on a daily basis, is stylish and is nicely finished. Daytona is an overhyped and overpriced watch with a sad history.

no contest, but the new Panda is far more interesting. I don't appreciate this blue too much. A tiny bit big though. the dual time fits much better

I'd pick this before a Daytona any day

Overseas every day of the week!
You would be nuts to pick the Daytona.
Overpriced Rolex sits with Breitling and Omega
But VC sits with Patek and AP.
There is a reason Vacheron is part of the Holy Trinity!

@@cheekien1981 No but it is 11mm thick vs 12.4 on a Daytona and much more refined than any Daytona. Finishing is also better.
Rolex are perfect tool watches , life companions , but the VC is an elegant sport watch and the interchangeable straps system is world class.

@@philc1773 Without hacking seconds is like a handicap for the movement. Shouldn’t happen to a holy trinity brand like VC. And the way the date change for 4500V is too weird and shouldn’t happen as well. Hence, although the 4500V has better finishing and craftsmanship, the handicap in the movement has made it like an entry level watch for VC, while Daytona is the highest end line for Rolex and is more recognised by most people.

@@cheekien1981 Rolex 4130 has been known to have hacking mechanism issues, so I am not sure on your point?
For example, on some 4130 movements if the crown is unscrewed and pulled out to the time setting position and the movement hacks as it should, when the crown is pushed back in the movement doesn't re-engage until the crown is screwed nearly all the way onto the case. Issues are typically linked to the keyless works not engaging it as it should!
The 4130 is no better than a Breitling B01. It has a Breguet overcoil, free sprung balance, and full balance bridge. The Breitling B01 has a flat hairspring, index adjusted balance, and balance cock.
Both have a serviceable vertical clutch assembly.
While the 4130 has fewer parts (290 vs 346 for the B01) and is more compact (4130 is 30.5 mm x 6.5 mm while the B01 is 30mm x 7.2 mm) while maintaining similar accuracy and power reserve (COSC/Rolex's +/- 2 second regulation and around 72 hours of power reserve off 1 barrel).
Yet, the B01 has a date mechanism (3 jewels), is designed for manufacturability, and comes in watches that cost 2/3 as much (or 1/2 as much when buying used) as the 4130. While on a purely technical aspect, the 4130 wins, the B01 is aimed at being a high quality, cost effective, and easy to manufacture movement. Both movements are best in their respective classes, so thats a proper Daytona comparison....
      Neither are a VC....!
A few more 'Hacking' points... As they are highly complex mechanisms that require a lot of parts and space; this won't suit VC who wish for a thinner watch.
Secondly, a hacking mechanism involves slamming a lever (quite literally) onto a fast spinning balance wheel to bring it to a halt. This is a bigger problem. A balance wheel oscillates at a high speed of 21,600 beats per hour and is meant to do so freely. It is a crucial part of the watch and should remain undisturbed. To the naked eye, a hacking mechanism doesn’t show much consequence but “at that micro level of watchmaking, the force is brutal and puts a lot of pressure on the balance wheel and its stem. That's why VC avoid.
If I was getting the choice of a Daytona or an Overseas for free and had to choose one.....
Its a fact that only the mug chooses the Daytona, ignorant of the better crafted watch.

@@philc1773 Hacking seconds won't suit a thinner watch? The A.Lange & Sohne 1815 Up Down is 8.7mm(thinner than VC 4500V) and it has hacking seconds. I don't know what you are talking about. As the top 3 holy trinity brands, VC should have hacking seconds for all their watches. And what about the date change for the VC 4500V? it should be instant change instead of slowly change which looks weird.

Other than the fact that both are chronographs, along with both being world class in their class, these are two TOTALLY DIFFERENT watches!!
That's like asking which do you want, a Benz G500 or a Porsche 911 GTS Cabriolet???
It just depends on what you want the watch/vehicle for & where ya want to wear/drive it.
This is the typical 🍎's to 🍊's comparisons, haha🤷🏻‍♂️
    Cheers🍻

I'd take a gold Daytona at the same price any day, or 2-3 steel Daytonas
Or even 1 Daytona over this, it's too big
