I have to admit that I love your videos, 2 suggestion is to combine VBA and or HTML and maybe go a bit slower so we do not pause all the time to digest the lesson. I have taken about a dozen of XL courses last year from UDEMY but I have to admit yours are superior. Great work Randy, I am working for over twenty years with traditional functions Lookups, match, index etc but I think its time to move to next level despite my age... The only question i have is how courses are organised, I will send you a list of topics that i usually do so you can tell which of your lessons are worth taking, Keep the good work

The formula for dynamic level is in error for cases 100,89,79,69,59.
I think it's better to use simple VLOOKUP with approximate match argument.
You have to sort in ascending order the level table in this case.

If there are two studies, morning and evening, such as (2017 morning) in sheet1 and (2017 evening) in sheet 2, etc. How can I search for the name raw was (5) to return ((all rows)) after merging the morning and evening, raw becomes (7) or (8) after (((rearranging the row according to the role you graduated from and sequencing it according to the average)) in the sheet ((gratified)+ Then returns the row that was searched for after sorting.
Hi and thanks very much. Its much better to have all data in the same sheet and table, then simply add a 'Study Type' column in which it will say Morning or Evening. You can then search and filter the entire database.

Hi and thanks you can use the NOW function within the file name so that the date, time and seconds are all part of the file name so that it is always unique. I hope this helps and thanks so much.

Hi Randy- Thanks for taking the time to create and upload this. I'm just wondering if this VBA+ Excel approach offers an advantage over using Excel + Word to perform a mail-merge (you'd have the certificate template created on Word and would populate it with the variable data values which would be pulled from Excel and which could be determined using Excel functions/ array formulas as demonstrated in the video)?
I can see that it's useful to undertake the exercise in order to extend your knowledge of VBA and practice many VBA techniques but I'm not quite sure of the advantage of it over a more regular mail merge! Is there something I'm missing?
Hi Brian, thanks so much for your comment. Word with Mail-Merge would probably work ok as well, however the ability to track when the certificates were printed or emailed along with the feature of having dynamic content within the email created is also a nice-to-have feature with Excel. Moreover, this certificate feature could be used as part of a larger student/class application within Excel. Thanks so much for your great question.

How to print the highest average
Hi and thanks you can set the print area to any contiguous range. You can also place the highest average in a cell and then link a shape to that cell. You can then place that shape on the certificate.

Hi randy, i tried the export as fixed format code to creat multiple pdf files in one sub but after about 72 perfectly created pdf's , the created files are corrupted or damaged and excel crashes. reinstalled office programs, the problem still occurs. any idea's what might be causing it?
Hi Kevin, this sounds like a memory issue. Try clearing all of your variables at the end of each loop, also turn off screen updating, calculations and disabling events when the macro starts and make sure to enable them all before the macro ends. Dear Sir,
I want to design student report card for a school.
the report card should comprise:
1. multiple entry for as many student as possible
2. Three terms report for a year/student
3. Easy to use by classroom teacher
4. Teacher's and Headmaster's/Mistress comment automated area
5. Printable report in A4 format
6. Create archive for past report.
Please if this is possible with excel let me know or I may opt for third party app

@@ExcelForFreelancers When there are names for males and females. There should be a gender row for each of them... The question is how to print (he) got a bachelor's degree and (she) got a bachelor's degree. How is the male transformed into (he) and the female into (she)?
Hi you can use an IF/then statement along with a Gender column to customize the certificates based on the gender.

If I want to save every certificate as an PDF by the name of the students
automatically instead when I choose "print", how do I change in the code for that? The goal is to save all the certificates without having to write the filename for each file that saves.
