I was really excited to have the opportunity to travel through Maguindanao and the BARMM. I will definitely be back for longer, but of course that needs proper planning and the right people on board! Oh, and I still need to go back to Kalamansig and Balut Island! Aaaah!
Majority of us here in Upi are Christians, we Tedurays dominate this part of Maguindanao. Really appreciate you showing our town in ur vlog. I hope you could explore more in the future. INGAT!
I have a friend there Saying that some minorities in certain areas became victims of land grabbing once the muslims (milf) came into power. Have you heard some of that? How true is it?
Im always happy whenever there are videos like this promoting mindanao. Not alot of Filipinos appreciate the beauty of this part of the South especially this Islamic areas. There is more positive things to see behind what you see in news guys. Alot of filipino Christians, Muslims in Mindanao are living here together in peace and are friends.☺
You make me cry kumander D. No worries, I'm just overwhelmed. We cannot blame if Mindanao or maguindanao is being stereotyped by many its true somehow. But things get better. I can't help but notice how much you've improved in your story-telling skills. I saw your first vlog and boy, what a difference! Keep up the good work, Kumander!
Kumander thank you for taking us to Maguindanao for a short visit. I lived in Davao City in 1972 (Marco’s Martial Law time) and did not have the chance to visit the Maguindanao area. Take care Kumander and continue to take us with you in your journey. J
You have a golden Narrator voice for sure. You definitely could do that for a living. I almost forgot I was watching your video. I felt like I was on a BBC episode. Glad to see you in full swing

So happy to watch this vlog. Thanks for featuring Nuro, Upi, Maguindanao. That's my hometown where I was born. I was so surprised you visited the place. Generally Upi is peaceful and people there (Christian, Muslim, Teduray ) are kind and simple. After the pandemic, you should visit the place during Meguyaya festival every December. There are few guest houses where you can stay and some good eating places. There is even a buffet restaurant in Nuro. I live far away from Phil. and you made me miss my hometown so much!
I was really surprised by Upi 🙂 will definitely go back for festival, hopefully this year it'll be ok na!
