@@AdamSahr-cj4kf every person has his own lifestyle, I totally agree with you
@@AdamSahr-cj4kf I'm with you, too. American, retired and live in Serbia off pensions. Support a Harley, car and stable lifestyle. Lived 10 years in Portugal and expenses were within €100+/- life in Serbia.
@Harry Eisermann I'm not quite at $3K and actually add to my savings a little every month. Tourist VISA costs nothing unless you want to register your vehicles here and be a temporary resident. Then about $200/yr renewable annually, I think.
I normally travel a lot but since Americans can't cross European borders I'm stuck in Serbia until things change.
@Harry Eisermann Somebody's not well informed. Must be you as you're trying to convince me I can't do what I've already done. But clearly you're dumber than dirt. I guess you bring Germany into the discussion in order to muddy up what is crystal clear because I never mentioned Germany and haven't been there since a 1976 Reforger exercise with the US Army.
I don't need to be informed. I'm living it.
I am an American, 69 and lived in Portugal from 2007 until 2017. Portugal is in the EU. Was brought from the US to work for the Portuguese government, paid taxes, retired in 2013 and lived on a temporary residence visa renewable every 2 years. The government (my employer) took care of and paid for all that in addition to my plane ticket to Portugal.
I had a Serbian friend I worked with in Nigeria around 2004-2005 that I contacted about moving to Serbia. In 2017 I drove over for an exploratory trip, liked it so I began moving. In Sept I drove back to Portugal. Rode the Harley over in Oct. Jan 2018 took a train to Portugal, picked up my car and drove back.
This is going to be very hard for you to comprehend so I'll type slowly. Serbia IS NOT A MEMBER OF THE EU so EU rules have no bearing on what Serbia does. I've been living here on a tourist visa for the past 3 years. I ride the Harley around southern Europe a lot (129,002 miles yesterday, pic on Instagram), like to travel and make certain I leave Serbia within the 90 days returning anytime between a few days to a few weeks later. Leave and you get stamped out. Return, get stamped in and the 90 days restarts new. I'm expecting within the next two months to start the process to get a long stay visa renewable every year or two. Got it? Now, go away and bother someone else. You need more clarification? Go to my RUclips channel (EuropeOn2Wheels), Instagram (europeon2wheels) or website EuropeOn2wheels.com (expect completion by 18 July).

Comparing Chechs and Germany, are you nuts? How about comparing income?
Well, this is misleading...like absolutely... in Slovakia (Bratislava) there are prices of food, services and actually everything like in Austria... but the salaries here are like 3 times lower
The Czech republic is super expensive for slovak people. In Slovakia is the average salary about 800€ (and that´s with all the ministeries...) in smaller cities and towns, people gain like 450-600€ per month. Even in the capital there are tons of people gaining less then the average. there are people living out of 650 or 700€ despite the fact the average rent for a flat is about 400-500 € (and more). A lot of people have to live out of 200€/month and yes, if you come to the food court in the shopping centre where you are workig, the cost of launch is 5-8€. But you have only 200€ to spend for a month!!!! So yes, Slovakia is cheap for visitors (which can be gaining 2000 or 3000€), but living out from the salaries in here, is noting but a big miracle
Definitely agree, people tend to forget that evaluate a cheap country or expensive country is not only about expenses but much more a ratio of incomes and expenses. Slovakia is an expensive country comparing local expenses and incomes average. Austria is a cheap country to live in while comparing the incomes and the expenses...
But the intended audience for this video is made up of ex-pats and potential ex-pats, obviously the carpetbagging imperialists are unconcerned with the struggles of the natives.

@@siddeshrozaekar9938 : Stay in India.
@@siddeshrozaekar9938 If you come here, you will be working a low paying job. With underaverage wage, you will struggle to pay rent, while other people with the same wage already own their housing. You will be poorer than underaverage payed people. So what you need to do is first qualify for good job, then gain it. You may work as a freelancer programmer, but you would be more money effective in India like that.
Oh, important note - slavic languages are HARD to learn. Most countries require you to pass language test after a few years to be allowed further staying.
Next problem, all eastern europe has problem with gypsies. I will not go into detail here, but they are doing it to themselves. People from India look exactly the same to us, so prepare for a load of racism. Many gypsies live in GB to suck on their welfare systems, so talking english will not distinguish you from them. No sane employer will give job to gypsy over anyone else. Like you let them drive a truck for your company and then they are gone, so is the truck and cargo. So here is a big hurdle when searching for job. Job gypsies usualy do (and most of them does not work) is digging and roadworks- near minimum wage. You will be doing better at home.

@Paul Eaststar everywhere. I don't know if I even saw one black guy when I was there for a week. Well there will be a few, maybe it's even a plus with the girls when you so exotic. Since 2015 a lot of illegal immigrants came from the middle east passing serbia on their way to rich countries. Don't know what effect this had in Serbia. There are almost no immigrants to serbia itself because salaries are very low. Even a lot of serbs leave the country (and a lot did already). The career opportunities are very limited, except maybe you know some high rank politicians or local oligarchs.

I'm from North Macedonia, it's an amazing country, beautiful landscapes and people it really should have been listed on here!
You mean Macedonia
@@Dem_Nuggets Officially it is now North Macedonia after an agreement with Greece. Finally!
@@Dem_Nuggets macedonia is one and only in Greece!
You are not from Macedonia, no Macedonian person calls Macedonia as north.
@@NUMMEHARBEN No it is not, legally the referendum for the name change in 2018 failed. The government illegally changed the name therefore we are still just Republic of Macedonia. Greece can go fuk off.
What abut the cost of internet, mobile phone service, utilities, food, clothing, health care, cars, petrol, car insurance, availability of retirement visa? There's more involved than just lunch and rent.
This video is ridiculous. You are stating all of these so called cheap prices but no mention on what one can earn locally.. It is relative.. The pronunciation of Belarus is so wrong it is as if the narrator has never heard the word spoken and as pointed out..... pictures dont match the description. Thumbs down!
NO TACOS FORGET IT
Rosemarie Teasdale perfect !
@Point Venus actually tacos are from mexico.
Slovakia has good cabbage and turnips
Sausage, sheep cheese, cod salad, bread, beer, potato salad, etc.
я пришёл сюда с плейлиста beatmaker fm. мне жаль, что мы потеряли этот канал.
Amazing video
Nope. Utterly rubbish...
What's about Estonia?
Poland and Czech Republic 👍👍
I was in Germany last month, I got shocked by low prices, a four-star hotel for 2 nights cost 118 euros for me, a fatty breakfast cost 7 euros
@@JPonceVlog Berlin
You can find those prices in the US too if you do it right, that's not very cheap to be honest
Great beautiful places to visit! 😜😍👌
Do you like to eat just the cheapest of meals and drink the cheapest of drinks? Most people don't even consider Georgia an European country.
Chris W Wrong!
Chris W, Georgia and Armenia are culturally European. In fact, they were the first European countries to be baptised.
@@ravivv1869 The first countries on earth, to be precise. First Armenia, then Georgia
So, in summary, the cheapest countries to live are those from the former Soviet Union.
yup.they still behind western europe.but some are much more developed than other.slovenia is the best
@@user-ci7vu7eo9w, would you mind sharing some of your experiences on Slovenia? For instance what is the prevailing attitudes about American's? Are Slovenian's warm and friendly to foreigners? Is there a lot of corruption there? Are there a lot of petty friendly places? What about food and things like setting up internet or phone service? I a asking these questions to people who live or have spent time in those specific areas so if you seey questions in other places on here it is not spam, just research.
Bulgaria isn’t from the Soviet Union, stop saying we are russians,we came out way before them and created their alphabet so shut up.

except for southern Europe, most countries have a shitty weather for 8 months per year . Is it a good life?
@Pastoor Anderson In Het Nederlands Love the honest comments. I would still love to visit Table Mountain and the vineyards and Port Elizabeth at a cooler time of the year though.
Very nice

@@glavasnikos beautiful place but I neither understand where it is, nor the relation to my comment...
These eastern European countries are maybe the cheapest. But they have the lowest salaries also. That's why a lot of young people move to Western Europe even if it's more expensive there. I live in Switzerland which is the most expensive one. Most of my neighbors are from Eastern Europe or from Turkey. Wonder why... In comparison with Price/Salary, Switzerland is cheaper.
What are your basic costs of living compared to your salary?
@@KorisnickoIme84 minimum for living depends from the rents or housing costs, but in average you need around 3500-4000chf minimum to live having a car if you are alone not spending too much. The minimum salary in Geneva is about 4100. But see the prices on www.numbeo.com
I know about numbeo and averages..I'm interested in your particular case salary, rent, bills, food, car, going out..

Yep
Paul Eaststar i really think you need immediately some lessons in geography, anyway all balcans are enough developed and very peaceful and interesting to visit
But who made this video included Asian country Georgia... LOL
@Paul Eaststar you will do well !
@Paul Eaststar thing is they are part of europe some of those however were part of yugoslavia before their civil war. and kosovo and bosnia especialy are still under civil war/conflicts so not very good places to go

Which is the cheapest european country for study ?
Pls tell me
Romania
come to portugal mate its preety cheap. a 3 year programming fee for university goes for 84 euros monthly xD
Latvian here. It is relatively cheap to live here compared to Europe, but the salaries are quite bad and % wise Rigas is expensive AF. You will earn 700-1000euros (minimum wage 430eur) here, and more than half of it will got to rent and bills. Do the math. Cars, electronics and clothing are priced as in Europe. So you will pay the same for smartphones, tv, new trousers as in Germany. Except that our minimum wage is almost 4x lower than in DE :D If you are working in IT sector, then the salary is reasonable.
What about Albania 🇦🇱, 10$ restaurant p person, hotel 15-20$, & no property taxes
Rent 100-600$ , & best for retirement, 👵🏼👨🏽🦳 all Italians & others going there .
It’s a Florida of Europe ❤️🏔🏖🏕
@Thomas Kreuzer have you lost one of your kidneys there , you stupid !
$7 for lunch? $US? You can get one in America! What is so cheap about that??? LOL !! Nah. .inaccurate info.
Meaning a real meal in a restaurant I believe. When I was in Porto, Portugal I would get away from tourist areas and go to a small restaurant where I'd get - Soup, plate of food, drink for 5 EURO. If I wanted a coffee after would be extra 0.50 Euro. I'm living in Cali you don't get that in a restaurant with real meals maybe in fast food chains or taquerias (they got real meals there tho but u get it)
shut up american
It's not about how Cheap, it's about hoe Liveable... America is neither, and very dangerous with lots of obnoxious people.
Yeah you can get a McDonald's crap burger for that. These countries offer multi-course lunches all fresh made for that price. US food sucks and is not that cheap.
Can anyone explain why so many have those backpacks with that symbol on it in different colours? 6:04
What is the winter like in these countries? My family is looking for a new home. I have 7 children ages 3-21. My wife and are looking for a VERY affordable & SAFE country. We would rather buy not rent. 3-4 bed, 1.5 bathroom minimum. We don't have to be in a major city but the town must have all we need
