      I'm pretty sure they give those 'teaching is a superpower' shirt away for free for teacher appreciation month... Itook my eyes away for a minute, ...the case I thought I was watching started as a man in plum tank top with NOT HUMAN written on it with short brown hair who answered in a masculine voice when they called his name...5 minutes later theres a completely different looking person who I thought was maybe his sister with wavy brown locks, mascara and a 'Teaching is a super power' t shirt trying to flirt with Judge Webster or maybe Attorney Canfield to get out of trouble 😂😂... took me a minute to realize .. oh, no it's the same drama queen 😂😂 wait until he sees the accommodations they have at county jail 😂 a little different then house arrests and face peels 😂 I bet the judge took SO much pleasure in this

      @@bryanrussell6679 The right to a vigorous defense is critical to justice whether innocent or guilty. Defense attorneys are part of the checks and balances. Any other solution would mean we are removing the presumption of innocence, that is good for nobody. If we are not satisfied with justice we need to look at prosecutors and ask why they aren't doing a better job.

      Suicide would cross my mind in his shoes personally. Having gone through a binge of jail shows and documentaries and visibly effeminate men and trans men tend to be big targets for sexual assault or assaults from people who dislike their lifestyle. One of the guards was avidly trying to get one guy to tone it down for his safety.

      I think what he said was he failed diversion which he got put on for petty theft. Either way Judge didn’t know either of those facts which is why he got jail time.

    As a person who used to do background checks on nannies, I am very surprised he is a nanny. There are usually extensive background checks. Someone with even a charge of driving without license of proof of insurance wouldn't get hired.

      Judge Webster has sent cops to a woman that said she was in Alaska but was not! As the judge got out of her where she was, she kept her on the line while the cops came to the door!

      Keep in mind he said he advised him not to speak unless directly answering a question from the bench. Then when she asked he went well beyond the required answer.

      @@ChristopherSloss Right. His "lawyer" was relegated by the defendant to "standby council." That means he isn't acting in full legal capacity. More as an advisor on law than an advocate. That said, he does tell the judge he has advised the defendant to remain silent unless answering a direct question from the bench. The defendant then goes above and beyond with his answers *as his own council* . The public defender would actually be acting in contempt if he intervened. This is why the one black lady in Michigan that always *does* jump in has to fall all over herself apologizing to the judge and defendant for jumping in. Either one could find her in contempt or request she be held in contempt for violating the defendant's right to represent himself.

    Omg! I did not expect for her to give 30 days & report today! She has restored my faith in judges….she definitely got rid of that smirk. Love her so much right now. Guess she figured he wasn’t too special not to go to jail as the other judge did. Wow! Guess Mr Davis thought the suicide thing would work….he was way too nonchalant about it….there are ways they can make sure he feels safe. A piece of work for sure.

    It's disgusting when a Defense Atty misrepresents facts to take the blame off his client b/c he knows he'll be given benefit of the doubt. It's also disgusting that someone would hire this POS as a Pre-school Teacher when you "don't look appropriate to be in Jail" nor as a friggin Nanny-this guy is shady as hell. Good strategy to not bother checking his record so that you don't have to make up more lies. If she hadn't ordered him to report for 30 days, I would have believed she was stalling for Sheriff's arrival, but he talked himself right into Jail.

      That’s the point of a defense attorney - they will use everything and anything to argue a case and/or pull on the heart strings of the judge/jury.
      That’s why there’s the common argument of “sole family provider”, “military service”, “mental illness”, “suffered a loss of a family member”, etc.
      It’s not against the law to argue via these arguments - does sound screwy, of course it does.
      But as long as it does not breech the oaths the lawyers took in regards to the Bar, they can make such arguments.
