Thank you for this, finally someone that understands. So many wannabe carguys doesn't understand. It blips the throttle or cuts fuel and then forces in next gear with ease. Comes from motorcycle. I have tryed this on one of the the fastest motorcycle in the world panigale v4 and it is awsome. In theory this can be way faster then DCT. They will have this tech in the feature with a manual stick and clutch lever and pedals. Just like motorcycles. On motorcycle it is called quckshifter and blipper. Car or mc doesn't need to use the clutch just full throttle and shift, when you ride slow or in traffic you can use clutch if you want to destress mechanicals because the purpose is in top revs high rpm for fast shifts not for slow city stop n go. Car or mc just blipps. It is awesome just like F1. And f1 took it from mc 😁
This was great. Totally agree, the MC Shift is quick enough. Used to own the ZF version - night and day. Not a dual clutch, but under load, fantastic. No complaints here. From a fellow owner who should know.
So finally someone who really clears up this myth and explains everything more than crystal clear. Because if someone wants to buy a Gran Turismo they should choose an MC shift! Why? ... because it is a sports car and sports cars with automatic transmissions are not 100% sports cars. This is my opinion. And if the cheaper running costs are a selling point for a GT with an automatic transmission, then you're not a Maserati purist. Or have you ever seen a GT with an automatic transmission at a race?
Totally agree. Very few GTs after 2013 had the MC Shift so I was lucky to find one. But I drove a ZF one previously and it was a far less engaging experience.

Seems about the same as the ZF personally
I have a 2017 Maserati 4.7 MC here in the US….i have to assume the F1 is different than the MC transmission in the US
I think it is yes. Do you have a stick? The buttons I thought were MC Shift
