  • In this video, I show how I change out Wheel Studs on the rear axle of an intermodal container chassis. This was done on a chassis manufactured by Strick and does Not have an ABS (anti-lock braking system).

    I do it a little different that what you do it but use the same idea. I use a 3/4" gun and a 32oz hammer tighten them up until you feel the torque coming up on the nut then hit the back of the stud with the hammer. It works better as it is much less prone to galling the threads up.

    What type of socket do you use to remove outer square lug? Is it just a normal 3/4 socket?
