- How to replace the rear wheel hub bearing and ABS sensor ring assembly on a 2002 to 2009 Volkswagen Polo Mk4 (9N). This video shows the process with rear drum brakes. Many thanks for the video. I've just ordered replacement wheel bearing kits for my Skoda Citigo rear wheels now that I realise you don't need a bearing press when replacing the hub.

Schönes und nützliches Video. Die Radnabe hörte sich beim Drehen nicht gut an. Ab Minute 6:30 zu hören. Es war ja auch noch nicht angezogen?! Bremstrommeln sollten jährlich innen gereinigt werden. Ich habe bei mir Radlager von SKF eingebaut, komplett wie hier im Video, als Radnabensatz. Beim Anziehen der 12-kant Mutter sollte die Nabe gedreht werden, um ein verkanten zu vermeiden. Interessant fand ich das Smartphone mit App als Drehwinkelmesser zu nehmen. Edd China lässt grüßen.

If the wheel bearing is very bad and it wobbles, it could possibly cause the wheel sensor to give an error signal

Yes it can. I have the same problem. On the VW UP the ABS Sensor Ring is included in the whole unit and not an extra part. So after replacing the sensor I now replaced the whole unit and the problem with the ABS light is gone.
That bearing sounded rough a noisy when you spun it. I would have renewed it if I going to that effort.
It was just for demonstrating the process :)
