Our November addition to the CAS fleet is this 2001-registered E38 BMW 750iL, which was made famous in the 1997 James Bond movie - 'Tomorrow Never Dies'.
In this episode, Raj introduces the new car to the channel, provides a little history lesson, explains the reasons behind the purchase and also the plans for this iconic V12.

I remember what peaked my interest as a kid in the 7 series. I didn't know anything about cars back then but I saw a v12 badge on the side and all I knew was Lamborghinis had a v12 so that made it cool to me

This looks like a nice low miles example. I'm obviously on the wrong channel if I hold the opinion I do, but it's sacrilege to change one of the few remaining RHD 750iLs in any way from stock, she's perfect as she is. 😢

Awesome purchase. Love the Intro massive fan of the Bronson 007s. Just a suggestion, maybe go with the larger rear screen of the G11 in a showcase style!

Do not slam it!!! Install larger wheels and lower it a couple of inches for the right stance. Dust tint the windows and install any missing accessories (i.e. rear table trays, fridge and curtains).

Well its good thing, but we need to get rid of Ulez scam becauae its ruining many peoples dreams of owning classics and old school cars, from 80s 90s.
Scam indeed. 97% of the EV idiots running around also think their electricity comes from Unicorns and rainbows rather than burnt coal & gas/diesel.
They also think the EV's battery is made of soybeans & absolutely nothing negative was done to the environment to create that literal ticking time bomb. EV fires are also ULEZ compliant.
Thats the whole point. It is a punishment for people that want a nice car that they can actually afford.

I’m Going to start my 1st Channel with it soon,Mine has the Turbine Wheels,clear coat is in some area ids gone,but no body damage and the interior in very clean 81/2 my phone 📞 is missing,but over all it’s Stunning
Think you need to double check! That your saying the 525i E39 not ulez compliant. I drive a 2001 E39 525i and it is ulez compliant 😅✌🏼

Im flying across the country to buy one of these as we speak. Going to do a build on one aswell. But simple. Bags, wheels, some interior entertainment mods, exhaust/intake work. And thats it. Want a daily i wont do much to.
Like the purchase. Huge fan of the e38. I would do a drop with a flush fitment on the wheels. Not lip to arch.

Can I ask did you make any modifications to make it ULEZ compliant or is it just compliant to begin with? Most sources I see says its euro III so I am confused
Mine was sitting 7 -8 years out doors at a used car lot in the very rear,I bought because I new it had the V-12!!Non Runner,I had a tow truck take it to a carport at my work,and began the detail!!2inch of dirt/dust,4- flats ,no batteries, I have a friend who owns a European auto in TX,and he and his sons brought the heart ♥️ beat back!!!!-They don’t see to many E-38 750 IL,,I love it,don’t drive it too much because it draws to much heat 👮♂️ 🔥😂,Late night only🍸Cheers

You're gonna tell the truth about how much maintenance this car needs if you want to keep it 7 series material? Or only gonna show what you wanna change regarding exterior and interior wise?
I have to spend 4.5 k on a big maintenance on my 735i. He is in the shop right now and last year I spend also around 4-5k to replace the timing chain and other various parts.
Its nice that you make a video about my favorite car but I would like it even more when you're honest about what it means to own this car
Beautiful e38 v12 but only if it was in that rare aspen silver colour as in bond movie which would have been amazing nonetheless . If I had this car I’d leave it alone as standard it looks beautiful as is bud.😊

I have a 2000 750iL since 2010,, same colour. Interestingly, I noticed there is no control panel in the centre arm rest. I have one in mine. Did BMW not provide one in the 2001 model? I also noticed that yours does not have the hydraulic boot lift, whereas mine does.
All said, what a privilege to own and drive.

great purchase, I drive an e38 and prefer a clean and low stance. Although, the 750iL ride is one to be enjoyed as is, because BMW did a great job with the ride.

Though I was surprised to hear you say it’s 10”/25cm longer than standard wheelbase.
As an E38 owner myself, I’m pretty sure the iL is only around 5.5” (14cm) longer than the standard car 👍🏼

It's the end of December in 2023 and these guys still don't understand ULEZ is based on Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) and Particulate Matter (PM) from engines. Every engine is different and complies with different Euro standards. London has a legal obligation to meet these standards.

Its not even nox mate, they say that but its all based on fugures out of air, ulez is scam and nothing is non compliant, most engines are same and had same figure of out put but still one isnt free other is, its based on pathetic lies, and backed up by fake reports simple as that, hope we get rid of this scam for good.
