I hope you have a firearm. I've camped and hiked in Yosemite and wouldn't be without a firearm, regardless of what any archaic law dictates. Protect yourself.
P.S. when hiking in a group, do not allow people to fall behind (no stragglers) or take a different path, not ever (pair up, keep track of one another while staying together as a group). If you must answer the call of nature, the entire group stops and your paired up partner stays close to you. Many of these points/rules seem childish to the inexperienced hiker, but experienced hikers will understand & agree. Again, many hikers, 1000's, have gone missing in Nat'l. Parks. This IS completely avoidable if you follow these certain basic rules.
Is it smart when hiking in a group to have like a rope or something everyone is attached to with a bell or something? Or is that not a good idea if you need to get out of dodge. I’ve been hiking maybe twice before but never in a group
A super hi-powered military grade flash light will blind any predator in a painful, but not detrimental, manner. It is more effective than a gun that can misfire, or miss its target. The blinding laser like light will immobilize most predators-especially at night-but definitely during the day. Also, on a trail, especially if your alone, make your presence known to any potential predators by using an ear piercing whistle whenever you feel watched or in danger. Finally, have a walking stick and and tap the ground in front of of you; by doing this you alert snakes and other slithering life forms of your presence so they can avoid being stepped on or preyed upon. One more final warning: never walk down a narrow trail bordered with embankments: you become easy bait for predators to pounce down upon. A mountain lion has a 25 foot jump length. They are more dangerous than an occasional rabid, hybrid wolf/bear.
I've never had an encounter with any kind of cryptid but I am a firm believer that there's a lot more to this world than what is widely known or accepted by mainstream science.
Even if I hadnt had any experiences, and living in the wooded areas of Washington state I have, I would still be hesitant to disbelieve cryptids exist. We don't know everything about our world, people that say " that's impossible because whatever reason" are just narrow-minded. There are places in the world that are untouched and old, we don't know what's out there.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 for start, we, the humans, can see and hear only a small percent of spectrum of the world around us, I know that for hearing is from 20hz to 20khz (in person with perfect hearing abilities) but there are sounds for example that some animals use for echolocation, but we can’t hear them, they have to sound somehow, it the completely same principles we don’t see things that don’t belong in our capabilities spectrum, that damn sure don’t mean that something is not there, just because you can’t see it. On same level, when you walk and there is no wind, you can’t feel the existence of the air that is everywhere around you. I would describe the seeing’s of strange things simply on that example. When there is no wind, or you don’t move fast enough, you can’t feel the existence of the air. So, there have to be some catalyst like wind or certain speed of movement for person to feel the existence of the air. I strongly believe that when someone sees something that he/she can’t explain, just means that some or many factors came in the right place/frequency/whatever (presumably much more complicated, more of factors in the same time, and which are astronomical rarely achieved happen, it allows some windows, portals, rips in the fabric of universe, glimpse in some other places and/or realities)
Obv the gov are hiding a lot of shit from the public eye who knows maybe a few of these national parks has some portal shit and hikers accidentally set foot and stuck there lmfao, like the hollow world you feel me? Another hidden world. eh idk we really don't know what's out there the world is still a mysterious place.
We were as a huge group walking through one of Yosemite’s trails to mirror lake. There were a ton of tourist coming and going and it was in broad daylight. Right then and there another tourist told us that we walked right past a mountain lion which was standing right behind the bushes watching us. 😳
@@palee8928 😮 I had a similar situation with a mountain lion while in the Yosemite. I was about 11 and staying at a cabin with my parent's and I went outside to check out a creek by the cabin then I went to the other side of the cabin when I saw up ahead the back end of a mountain lions body laying down. It's front part was being blocked by the cabin so it didn't see me. I backed up slowly to go back the way I came and then bolted back to the front door of the cabin, shut the door, and told my parent's a mountain lion was outside.
I grew up in the mountains. It's weird bc there's like a legitimate difference between feeling watched by an animal/person and being watched by something else. I've only ever experienced this a few times but still it's unnerving. Like a feeling of dread, like something bad is going to happen if you don't get away
Is it that thing were the winds stop, Sound stops and sometimes there is a cloud formation that would appear out of no where and things become unnaturally dark?
Yup had this experience recently at a place I frequently hike I was there alone and I only took a few steps onto the trail and I had this terrible feeling and I literally turned around hesitated for a moment and then ran back to my car and left. Can’t explain what it was just something came over me that there was something not right.
I worked and lived in Yosemite for 7 years. The first instance you mentioned in the Hetch Hetchy Valley isn't all that bizarre. Contrary to what you stated, that area of the park is actually very remote and trail maintenance is often very neglected. People go missing their quite frequently. However, I'd urge you to look into Pate Valley as there are a lot of strange occurrences that happen there that are easily obtainable through NPS records.
We hiked to a high desert lake, two young women. We passed no one. When we returned, same trail, about 2 hours later, draped across the trail, deliberately, was a beheaded rattlesnake. We kept sensing someone or something was following us. We finally became unnerved, hated doing this, but ran all out for our truck. We couldn't get inside fast enough. We left, not wanting to see if we could see what had been behind us.
Friend SWEARS that there are Sasquatch near her holiday cottage, Northern Ontario, and that they do weird stuff including leaving "gifts", often snakes, often decapitated and laid out completely straight, often two or three at a time, or worse, tied together in a knot. They also, she claims, leave tied grasses and stripped twigs in knots, rocks lined up, and sometimes shiny stuff, like bits of metal garbage like pop can tabs or wire. I pointed out crows and ravens are known to "gift" things to people, but I can not account for the symmetry of arrangement nor the knots. She leaves them apples, lettuce, nuts, and sometimes other snacks. She has never seen them but claims to have felt and heard them. She is not under the care of a therapist nor taking any drug.
@@lesliemccormick6527 any time when people talk about communicating with sasquatch in any way...I take the story with a grain of salt......imagine hearing swedish for the first time and listening to it for years without translation....you would not have a clue what was being said....if there are encounters, then set up a trail cam....I have heard tree knocking with a witness....but I only admit to hearing tree knocking
@@olgatempel3466 I tend to err on the skeptical side myself, however, not everyone has funds for trail cams. Plus, if Sasquatch are a species of great ape, I submit this for your consideration: Trail cams are set up where Chimpanzee, Orangutan and Silverback Gorilla are KNOWN to be- and RARELY, if ever, are they caught on camera. One explanation researchers have for this is that they can spot the change or anomaly in their environment, hear the cameras working or see the light they emit, possibly smell them, and thus purposefully avoid them. The other thing is that even in zoos or at game farms, people taking photos of great apes have had much consternation to discover that their photos tend to be distinctly blurry or fuzzy. Ditto other hairy creatures such as bear. Again, odd. In any case, as a younger person I and another person were in the woods up far up a mountain not far from where we lived in Lillooet. We heard and smelled very strange things but never saw anything, though we both felt very queer and nauseated, and were suddenly overcome with fear. Shortly thereafter we were inundated with several thrown objects: pinecones, twigs, stones and eventually fist sized rocks. We fled, and had the impression of being chased or followed. Again all data was auditory only. Being youthful, we thought "bear!" However, consider: A bear would have shown itself, and bears do not hurl objects. We had been in a clearing; my companion had nailed flattened tin cans to several trees as targets for his BB gun. Nailing and knocking are similar. While he was doing so, we heard a delayed "echo" and thought, "Oh, wow, cool echo!" This was 1978. Nowadays, with the proliferation of Sasquatch hunting television shows, if I were in the woods in the midst of nowhere halfway up a mountain in the interior of BC as I was then and heard tree knocking, I'd think "human", first. At the time, however, Sasquatch was hardly a topic of discussion, and the idea of wood knocking was virtually unknown until many, many years later. Also, many animals employ infrasound to stun and confound other creatures. Tigers, for example, do this.
A Crazy thing Happened to me once *years ago* when I was camping with a few friends the summer after graduating HS. I was 19. We were in the middle of breaking down firewood, making small talk, telling jokes, kicking back a few cold ones. It was sunny, warm, the air felt fresh & light, you could hear the birds chirping. Then it was like a dark cloud rolled thru. Like, with in seconds the air got cold & heavy, the wind went STILL like untouched water. The birds didn’t just go quiet, Istg they just ceased to exist altogether. No sound of wings flapping or there lil chirps getting quieter in the distance. One moment it was bright, sunny, noisy. Then the next moment it was Just. dead. Still. Silence. We all felt it at the same time to. We all went quiet with world around us & looked at each other like, “you seeing this?” I mean it man. It was so unnervingly, unnaturally quiet that every instinct in our human bodies was on edge. We all got on the same page with one look & no words to eachother. “If we make a noise. Something bad is going to happen. And we’re a long *long* way away from help if we need it.” Knowing this & seeing all my friends frozen like statues. I went with my gut & started SILENTLY moving towards my tent where my dads M9 Baretta was. He’d lent it to me for the trip “just in case.” (his words) I took one step, two steps, three steps, SNAP. A twig cracked. But it wasn’t me. We all looked over to where we heard the noise come from and I kid you not. A freaking herd of wild deer steamrolled our camp Lmao. We had to group up while they ran past us so we didn’t get run over. After that, it was like someone turned the noise back on. Warm air, birds chirping & the wind came back to. Also, not for nothing but standing in the middle of a small stampede is genuinely awe inspiring so we were actually in a really good mood after the whole ordeal cause of that lol. That aside, I’ve spent A LOT of time in the woods before and after this. but what gets me about this experience is that this is the ONLY time I’ve ever seen deer running TOWARDS ppl out of fear. I knew it back then but I didn’t wanna freak out my friends. Those deer were running from something. Something so inherently dangerous that the deer didn’t even care to notice the group of 4 men right infront of them. What on earth could scare an entire herd of deer like that? What could could terrify this thing so bad that it would rather take its chances by rubbing shoulders with another predator instead of whatever was chasing it? And the biggest thing that I’ve never been able to answer from that experience is where did they come from??? Cause normally you would hear SOMETHING when you have 20 mammals barreling downhill towards you at 20-30MPH. But we didn’t hear a thing till they were on us. It was like they bursted into our reality out of thin air. I’ve only experienced two things in my life that I couldn’t logically explain and this was one of them.
@@lourdesmariasanchez8388 it’s a new comment on a 2 year old video so I doubt it’ll go too far lol. I Just saw everyone sharing stories in the comments & figured I’d leave my own lil campfire story.
You KNOW what it was, why not just say it? In this day and age there are plenty of people talking about their experiences with Sabe. Talk to the native peoples.
Years ago my two sisters were getting ready to go camping in a tent in some woods down the road from our home in Florida, and before they left, I started getting a very unnerving feeling in my gut about it. I had gotten a premonition, that a strange balding man with glasses, driving a white van, felt like a dangerous human being and perhaps would follow them. Well my sisters didn't listen to me, thinking I was just being paranoid, and I just kept pleading with them not to go. Once they left anyway, I just started praying real hard for their safety, as my gut feeling of something bad might happen to them, was screaming at me! About twenty or thirty minutes later they showed back up at our home, all in a panic then told me what happened after they had left. Turned out they went and stopped at a convenience store to pick up snacks before heading across the road to the woods, before going camping and they said to me "Omg, what you said to us, was true!" They told me how they stopped at the Farm store. (For those of you not familiar with that store, it's a small chain convenience store located I believe, mostly on the east coast.) Anyhow, they said the description I gave of a balding man wearing glasses, sure enough had pulled up in a white van, and the man noticed them in the store and was acting strangely. He started following them around in it, and watching them. They said they were so freaked out, and left in a hurry, and made sure to not go straight home, in case he would follow them and then know where we lived. Some people might say maybe the guy was harmless, but I believe when you get a bad gut feeling about a person, listen to it! This is a true story, and I'm always reminded of that night when I see stories like this here on RUclips. I believe in the paranormal, but I'm more afraid of the living. There's real evil in this world among humans, always watch your back, and don't venture off alone especially being a woman! Let people know where you're going and always be aware of your surroundings!
Great Story and hope that this experience always reminds you to continue listening to your "Instincts" & Premonitions. I've learned the hard way not listening to my own but never will do so again. Ever.
I once saw a strange wolf on the D-1 highway in Czechoslovakia around 1992. I was driving from Prague to Brno late at night around 23:00 during a snowfall and almost no cars were on the highway. I was near the exit for Jihlava and this unnaturally large wolf was standing directly in the middle of the highway! I slowed down a lot, and drove around it, observing it while it observed me. At no time did it change position, and I knew it wasn't a dog because it had a triangular face and was much too large for a dog. From my rear view miror I could see a car behind me also slow down, and drive around it. The whole experience was frightening because wild animals don't behave like that.
I built a cabin in the foothills of the Blue Mountains in Oregon years ago. It sat near a beautiful bend in the river in a deep canyon. Towards the end of the day you could often feel "It" watching you. (getting the goose bumps as I type this and remember). As the sun sunk over the ridge and the evening shadows began to fall a feeling of doom would start to settle in, the hair would start to stand up on the back of my neck. When it was time to quit working for the day, or sometimes a little sooner, I literally ran for my work van to get out of there, even leaving tools out over night. I never saw anything - just felt it. This was on the Umatilla Indian reservation's eastern border and it always made me think there might be some interesting history connected to this place.
If it’s an Indian ground it def has activity I live on Indian ground and exactly what u felt and dealt with I did too in my house multiple times . The key tho is to not be afraid . It’s all scary af regardless but praying and knowing ur safe is key . Anything evil or negative feeds off negative emotions like fear .
Regarding the last story, I'm Christian which is similar to Catholic. I found it weird that him being Catholic meant he didn't believe in stuff outside of reality because as a Christian, I was taught that stuff outside of reality like the paranormal is real. If demons and stuff happened in the bible why would it not still exist/ actually exist today?
Catholics are the 1st Christians, the church that was Literally started by Christ. We do believe in Spirits. Our faith is based on the Trinity. The Father, The Son & The Holy Spirit.
He’s an anomaly. Catholics believe in a wide range of supernatural happenings. They even have an official chain of command back to the Vatican’ where the big dog decides if you’re possessed or just crazy Or if Jesus face really did show up on a piece of toast
It doesn't only exist, the leaders of just about every country are working for these demonic forces. Which btw have managed to make us believe we live on a rock hurling through space . When any idiot can make relatively easy observations and calculations and without a doubt see that the sun revolves around us and we are the center. I'm sorry but the people that scoff at that fact are fools who have literally done zero to research it themselves. They just listen to what the "experts" tell them. Just like in the essene gospels Jesus tells a group of sick people that they are not supposed to eat anything thst has been cooked or killed. We are supposed to live on fruit and raw vegetables and after our bodies are cleansed of the death we consumed most our lives we will be in tune with the 7 angels of nature and gain their protection. I'm not religious because all religions were perverted to serve to divide and spread hate. That's why the vatican took the essene gospels and hid them from the masses. Eventually somehow they got out and now you can listen to the full gospels here on RUclips. Call me what you will. I'm not the one that believes we are spinning 25 thousand miles an hour right now....just pure idiocy. Open your eyes
I follow Catholicism and it is a very mystical religion! Believing you are literally eating the flesh and blood of Christ is a bigger stretch than believing in some of the paranormal phenomenon.
My grandfather once got lost and was very dehydrated at Yosemite after deciding to head back to the lodge alone while the rest of my family was hiking. He was found by a park ranger wandering around and confused, and while my family jokes about it now (he was very fond of hiking so stuff like this didn't usually happen to him), it was certainly scary at the time. It's definitely not weird to me that stuff like this happens all the time, it could have had a very different outcome if he went a different direction, since he was confused enough to wander off the path.
I’m reading a book from the 1800’s called Fairy Faith in Celtic countries. The author brings up Yosemite and an informant of his working w the Madoc Indians(may be dif tribe). Apparently there was the same type of phenomenon like the Sidhe from Ireland etc. Kidnapping people, making them lost, appearing as different daimons, etc. The Indians claimed there was a malevolent race of invisible beings who despised humans at Yosemite. From my research every country and people had this same phenomenon go on. It seems it was quite common even a couple hundred years ago and then it kind of faded out. Maybe has to do a light or electromagnetic spectrum. But I think we’re headed back into an era where our realities are going to be more aware of each other’s again.
You’ve captured my very thoughts, it really does feel like the realms of matter and the realms of imagination are going to cross as they once did, which is where most of these myths and legends came from before.
@@DankyKang96 have you seen the documentary from Iceland on fairies etc? It’s called Investigation into the invisible world. I’ve found it on RUclips for free. It’s very interesting.
As someone who was born and raised in Sonora ca (right next to Yosemite) I know they’re are some creepy stuff. No one goes walking at night by themselves up there and everyone’s like oh because of bears or lions. No. It’s easy to scare those off. There’s a lot of things we can’t explain. Just don’t go out at night. Don’t go off by yourself and stick to the trail. I’ve seen some stuff hiking on my property. Legit on opposite side of the mountain that Yosemite is on. I was walking around when I was young climbing trees etc etc. and when I was climbing down one time it felt like I was being watched. And I heard foot steps so I looked down thinking my brother was with me. I saw a pair of antlers and thought oh it was a deer so I broke a branch off and threw it at it and it didn’t move and deer are very skittish. So I just sat in the tree. Not wanting to go down because it was matting season and male deer get very aggressive. But eventually it did leave but so fast it looked like a blur. If I had blinked at that moment it’d have appeared as if it was never there. Ever since then I’ve believed in cryptids. And I only went out with friends into the woods. A lot of people believe in the skinwalkers of Yosemite that live there
Go to a NA elder, and they will tell you stories, legends really, of these "skinwalkers", these evil shaman/witch doctors, can do evil things and in exchange of those evil deeds, they are granted shifting abilities into someone/something that they have hurt/killed. They steal that individuals, whether human or animal, skin and "walk" in the skin of that person or thing, but it's not exactly a replica of the original, more like a copy of that. Also, I didn't believe in Dogman/Werewolves until I heard this story from a NA elder who told me that she had of when she was a young girl, she would periodically see a giant Wolf/dog creature outside her family compound. And it would just walk through their woods at night, howling, and their father told them it was a bad and sometimes good spirit that walked the forests and only would attack those that deserved it. At least, that's the story she was told, but the only time she believed it was evil and not good, that it had malicious intent toward her, was when she saw it out of her window staring into her window, and even tried to open and climb in the room, she began to say a prayer to the spirits to protect her, it was as if it heard her prayer, and stopped, and then growled and just stomped off into the woods. It never came that close again to their compound. Very creepy. I believed her story, and I do believe in some forests, there are certain groups of animals, monsters really, that may be out there that government knows about and didn't want to acknowledge that fact.
I go hiking in a local woodsy reservation with my dog all the time. A few years ago in the winter of 2018 while walking we were about a mile maybe a half mile to the parking lot. I felt I was being watched and when I looked up I seen a huge wolf watching us from the top of a cliff. This Cliff was maybe 40 feet high not very big. This wolf was huge and I have seen wolves up close before at sanctuaries and zoos. This wolf was nothing like those wolf. This one looked almost double in size and had unnaturally huge muscles and very pronounced features almost cartoonish in a way but terrifying. I quickly broke eye contact as fast as I could after staring at him cuz I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I scooped my little 8 lb dog up slipped on my furry Hood to try to look bigger and kind of stomped out of there making coughing noises to try an look bigger. All the while expecting at any second I'll be attacked and eaten. So relieved I made it out of there I went right to the ranger station told them what I seen and they said there was no wolfs in this Woods it must have been a coyote trying make me feel like I was crazy. I know this isn't a Bigfoot story or werewolf but this thing was mutant I know it was I seen it and feel it in my gut.
@@shaymich2395 bro what he described is nothing like a bear with mange. Lol especially since alot of Wolf breeds are actually quite big and he said this one was bigger than those. That's saying it's easily bigger than a brown bear and probably in the range of a grizzly. He said it looked crazily muscular, a bear with mange is usually sick and dont look muscular at all. So most definitely not a bear with mange. Though honestly he probably didn't actually see what he described anyhow.
@@mfnenke8160 I actually don't talk about this very much mostly because the way it sounds and the way people react just as you said. I only shared here because I thought it would be okay and I want to know if anyone else has ever seen something similar. But I get it you don't have to believe me.✌
@@kristinmary4025 Wasn't trying to offend you. This is the perfect place to share your story. It's just of course I'm going to be skeptical. Still till you have the experience happen to you it's hard to believe the word of someone you don't know.
My husband and I camp annually in Yosemite. We love its power and majesty. The smell of that forest is so beautiful. We both know the dangers and are very cautious when hiking. Since I was a kid I learned to not screw around when on any trail. I grew up loving camping and caves. If you're not paying attention and you trip, it could be a fatal accident. And worst of all, no one may ever find you. If you fall off somewhere and no one sees you fall you're screwed. if you are unable to walk, even if you cry out. No one may hear you. You're on your own. Too many sound hushing elements. You have to save yourself. And there are Bears and other wild life that won't mind eating your body making sure you'll never be found. Maybe they'll find your pack and belongings in a few years. And the Merced River is notorious for killing. I respect the area almost religiously and because of that I don't screw around climbing all over the rocks or near the waterfalls like a stupid kid. I don't even get in the merced. It's not a playground. And it will kill you if you are not careful. There have been so many deaths that yeah it could be haunted with all kinds of spirits. Including Native Americans who hate you and all foreigners entering their sacred land. That valley is special and very much sacred. Also Rock Falls which still happen can kill you too. If you're smart you'll be sure to stick close to your companion (s). And let friends know if you need to walk on ahead. Stick to the designated trails. Don't sneak off to take closed trails. That's how people disappear.
I was up in Sedona and went on a hike on my own in the woods just north of Slide Rock Park. I started jogging through the woods on an empty hiking trail and suddenly felt eerie and unsafe so I turned around to go back to my car. Not sure if there was a real threat but I think my instincts told me to turn back for whatever reason. Hiking on my own felt like a bad idea. Whether it be the danger of human predators or otherwise: Don't hike alone, ladies!
I was a camp host in oak creek canyon. Had campers complain about things at night in the campground. Not human complaints. Never heard the results of night vision being used by authorities at night
@@Greenpeppers307 like seeing odd things flying up in the sky at night or seeing strange lights in the sky. Hiking in some places and getting that eerie feeling of maybe I shouldn't be here. Seeing spirits of indigenous people in their ceremonial attire
This is 100% real. One of my dads friends vanished in dinkey creek California . He was a very experienced hunter and they found his truck with his wallet, phone, gun, and everything in the truck but they never found any traces of him. No footprints or anything. The dogs never picked up a scent. Been missing for 15 years now and it still blows my mind
Was he on the 411 stories? We camp about 30 mins East of Dinky Creek almost every year when I was younger. Started having A LOT of weird experiences there. Definitely witchcraft at some of the camp sites and strange entities. The last two years we went I felt UNSETTLED the whole time. There was something else living at the campground. It’s pretty deserted there after the fires
I think it's important to note, that IF they are found, very often than not, they are found in hard to reach places or just weird places. Like this one boy who disappeared from a National Park and was found not one mountain range away, but TWO. Meaning this young boy of like at most 7 I think he was. Had to have scaled a mountain, scaled down the other side, and found near the bottom of the next mountain over. And sometimes, these missing people go missing in areas where it is VERY unlikely someone even could go missing, such as an open field, or a well traveled trail. Even areas that were already searched.
Yes exactly. I think I recall the event you are referring to with the young child. I agree, they are rarely if ever found or ‘returned’ possibly to this timeline or reality. Thank you for your comment. All I can say is, EYES OPEN.
The funny part is that even if the truth came out, it would be called a conspiracy and you'd be Lied too anyways by keeping the truth controversial and facts hidden, even in plane site
@@milesdyson2242 I know. I have had many other experiences but, I have kept them to myself. After many years of being in these extremely remote locations for long periods of time alone, I have come to long-since realize, we have absolutely no idea what is really out there at all. Many of the strange stories we have heard from Native Tribes, I fully believe are absolutely true and real. I experienced so much more like this living in the Amazon jungle and homesteading deep in the wilderness of Alaska over the years. Some of the things I witnessed and experienced are beyond comprehension.
Bro I’m from NorCal and I’m from the mountains and live by a lot of forest and the amount of people that go missing is crazy, there are so many weird people and groups ranging from Scientology to cartel.
I used to work for the forest service on the Sierra national forest near Oakhurst and Yosemite later worked on a helicopter in Yosemite. We did a lot search and rescues. I can tell you from experience many people don't respect nature and pay for it. I don't think it's anything supernatural. Winter time dangers and mistakes I witness was hikers crossing frozen lakes or rivers and falling through, wouldnt be found until spring or late summer when the water got low. And some were lodge between big boulders under rushing water only some of their belongings showing up down river. And some don't want to be found they go to commit suicide
Your right, about people not respecting their surroundings and nature. However their are scientists whom have created mutants and hybrids that most people can't fathom... hell they clone people in BC. Technology we use, and that which the mic uses are night and day... you won't ever hear this on your media/ agenda driven news so if that is what u need to believe it is happening then don't bother cuz it ain't happening my friend...
I go because iv grown up going in the woods going all the time with family and friends. I usually feel safe and at peace with nature. Usually other people don't have time to come with me. So I go with my dog. In the 20+ years and hundreds of times going alone or with my dog I've only ever felt unsafe one time. It did take me a while to go back but I still go. I definitely understand what you're saying. I watch these stories, believe and even seen with my own eyes what others try an make me feel like I didn't see like I'm wrong or just crazy.Still I live my life and do what I love.
I have had many strange encounters and experiences over the decades filming and exploring in extremely remote locations from Alaska, to the deepest jungles of the Amazon. One such experience of many was on a old abandoned mining claim in Colorado. I was exploring this claim when I noticed a large creature that looked at first like a huge Timber Wolf about 100 yards away coming down an old road. As this strange creature came down the road, its face, kept changing from a wolf to a mountain lion like face. It was about 9 feet long rather thin, and on all fours with shoulders roughly 4 1/2 feet high. It was walking quickly. It appeared extremely dangerous and really powerful. It proceeded past me, paying no attention to me whatsoever. I knew it saw me but, it could care less. It showed no fear at all of me. As it kept passing me about 75 feet away, its face continued to alter making it impossible to actually determine what it really was, a wolf or lion type creature. It merely continued on past me, and into the deep forest. I whistled at it once it was at a safer distance. It stopped and turned toward me and just stared at me for a brief moment then turned and was gone into the forest. I encountered other really strange things on this old mining claim over time. It seems to be a ‘portal’ of some kind. I witnessed other really bizarre entities when I was camping there. I could actually write a book on all that encountered there and exploring. I believe from some of the encounters I have had, that many of these people have been, and are being taken possibly into another reality, or into another time. These events are very real.
Very lucky guy. Your still around to tell your tale. 😂 Better be careful because you might walk in one of this portals without even knowing it's in front of you. 😂
@@maribeldeleon5323 I know that I am extremely fortunate to have not ‘vanished’ on that old mining claim, where I witnessed that strange wolf/lion creature, and other locations where I have been in extremely remote areas especially in the Amazon and Alaska even more so than Colorado and New Mexico. I am strongly considering writing a book about all that I have experienced and witnessed since early childhood. Then, doing film work for National Geographic TV, NOVA TV Series and countless other films and documentaries around the world in a 44 year career, and owning my own film production company. I have seen things that are beyond comprehension with regard to the supernatural/spiritual events as well as super highly advanced alien encounters since childhood. Never doubt these things aren’t real. They are more real than we as humans can ever imagine. Thank you for your comment.
@@moirahill6397 That’s a great question. It would take a book here to explain myself and my background but, since early childhood, I have had so many really strange supernatural and spiritual experiences as well as alien encounters that, I took my encounter with this bizarre wolf/lion creature more or less in stride. I have since childhood known that I am ‘Divinely Protected’ for whatever reason. Most of my experiences have been mind-blowing Divinely inspired encounters. It was only after so many supernatural experiences that after awhile, it actually starts to just seem ‘normal’ to me to witness the unbelievable. I have spent a 44 year long career doing film work for National Geographic, NOVA TV Series and countless projects including all my own work when I owned a successful Film Production Corporation. During my career, I have experienced and witnessed dozens of mind-shattering events that truly are beyond words. Fortunately for me, virtually all of them have been extremely positive and Divinely spiritual in nature. However with that said, I too have experienced pure Satanic evil as well. As a small boy, I began having countless dreams and visions decades ago of the future to come. We are now here … I was shown that we as humanity are now at a cross roads. One path leads to absolute destruction in a full blown nuclear WWIII, while the other path, leads to culling the world of all the Satanic evil. It was shown to me that, the choice is ours to make. I have been shown many visions all through my life, and each one has come true exactly as they were presented to me. Pray without ceasing is all I can say. I think people are finally ready to listen to people like myself that, have had all these spiritual experiences. WE are now in, The Battle of the Ages.
As someone who lived in Yosemite ( Yosemite valley & Tuolumne meadows ) for over 6 years, I can attest that there are definitely shadow / spirit beings who roam this most majestic and magical of places. They are to be respected - by respecting the land, its creatures and stewards, and being in loving communion with the beauty and healing to be found while there. And also by being cautious! All in all, Yosemite and all of its energies are beautiful and powerful, and yes, sometimes even scary. That’s part of its’ allure too! ❤
I always carry a wooden plate, an oak acorn and offerings so that if I feel that I'm watched by spirits, I make offerings to the spirits and plant the acorn. Then I'll make a 180 turn and walk away.
I live in Tuolumne County. Feel it too. Some places good, some not. Ive experienced both, sometimes just a few hundred yards from each other. I have never SEEN, but have FELT. I will never go back to Hetch Hetchy. For some reason, unknown to me, I do not belong there and have felt the warning. Yosemite claimed my Dad, not disappearance or stupid accident, but a heart attack, doing what he loved. I’ve done my best to re-love it myself and have solo backpacked within the park on occasion. People also don’t realize how vertical and mostly inaccessible Yosemite is outside of the trails. It’s easy to get turned around and in trouble, even if just stepping off to take care of business.
Great information. A few years ago, two people were lost and both found dead, Scott Tenczar and Ranger John Blevins Cogdell III. We were never given the causes of death but both seem suspicious as Scott was in great shape and John was a park ranger.
They probably tried to intervene in a human trafficking abduction. There's tunnels all over the US. Almost every state park. People are still not wrapping their mind around how big this is
It seems very suspicious that the public was never given any more information as to the cause of death in both of these situations. Although if it was something like suicide I would understand the families wanting privacy.
I can not believe how many geniuses leave their homes unarmed , let alone go out into the wild unarmed . Wild animals in The concrete jungle is bad enough but then you add in grizzly bears or mountain lions or whatever else is feral & wild out there. Stay strapped ✌️ 🙏
I work In Yosemite and I love it! It’s crazy to think of people disappearing in this beautiful national park! I love seeing the visitors enjoying it just like I get to everyday! These types of stories creep me out but I love hearing the rushing water and smelling the clean air everyday. ❤
Check on how many people have disappeared since the inception of the park and the areas they disappeared from . How many caves have been charted in and around the park .?
In Oregon I was driving away from the Multnomah Falls area on the back roads and I drove right by a huge horse-looking being that was poised on the side of the road, looking straight out at me as I drove past. It looked like a dark figure, no color anywhere. It had no definition of a face, and a really round head. It was huge - it was at least 8ft tall. I remember thinking "did I just really see that? Oh, I did. That was really real." I was so confused and/or shocked I didn't know how to process it, and I have completely forgot about it until I started hearing stories about unknown creatures this month. This is the first time I'm sharing this. Now it kind of makes more sense what I saw...
It was at dusk. I didn't get a detailed look at it because I was driving, but I remember the general shape. It was looking straight-on towards the road, so I didn't see it's side@user-vo7uo8ym2y
I’m in the area too. A friend told me the other night that a while back she saw a black-haired Bigfoot on Sauvie Island. About 8-10 feet tall. Crossed the road right in front of her, in only a few steps. You might’ve seen one too.
I’m here to tell you that’s a Sasquatch. Lots of sightings in that area there’s even one at the Falls. Sighting actually occurred in the parking lot in the middle of winter if I remember right, not sure about that part. They can walk straight up back on top of the cliffs overlooking the gorge. Right along the sandy River. There’s lots of action too. No giant Horsemen probably bad lighting. You’re actually really lucky to see one.
What I submit here could be interpreted as being accusatory or making fun of you. I assure you it is not. I just want to add a humorous event that involved seeing something out of the ordinary. Back in the 80’s (during my heavy partying days) I was smoking weed semi-regularly and had experimented with LSD. One Friday or Saturday night, I had dropped some acid and smoked some weed at a friends house about six miles from mine. It wasn’t real strong LSD and I didn’t smoke a lot of weed and although we’d say today that I was too impaired to drive. But I took lots of chances then and that night was one of those times. Note to readers: My luck ran out a decade later when I got arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. So, if you like your booze, don’t be as dumb as I was and get behind the wheel. You could hurt or kill yourself or someone else. Back to my recollection. The road I was taking at one point went beneath a two-lane highway. About 50 to 60 yards away I saw a large white horse standing still under the overpass. I rained lightly that day and in my silly mood, I thought “this is some good s**t because I’m seeing Pegasus” and merrily made my way home without incident. My sister has always been involved with the equine community and a couple of days later I had the chance to tell her about my trip. Ever the pragmatic and sensible lady, she said “You idiot. That wasn’t good s**t, you saw a real horse that’s notorious for escaping the barn you must have driven past about a thousand times.”

I grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan near Lake Superior. It’s a very wooded area...just look it up on Google earth! The family home is on an acre of land surrounded by deep woods with a few open fields here and there. And there is a very specific part of the woods behind the sauna (yes, we’re Finnish) that is very scary...day or night. There’s a window in the sauna that faces that direction and whenever I was taking a sauna, I felt like I was being watched. Somehow, I just ignored it and tried to never look out the window. The few times I went in those woods usually with a cousin or niece, it always felt dark and gloomy even on a very sunny day. It wasn’t until we were older and started talking about our childhoods did we admit out loud how scary those particular woods were. That when we left those woods and entered a different one would the dark, bad feeling go away. I can’t explain it. I thought only I felt that way. Only when I was older did I realize that I wasn’t the only one.
I love this channel because of your voice. But when It comes to the missing,I wish Dave politis would be recognized because he is the one that started missing 411, letting all of us about these cases. Please keep the stories coming.
Growing up, we were always at Yosemite. There were times we literally lived there all summer. We camped every chance my dad had. There were times you can feel someone or something watching. I personally never saw anything but some did. My brother used to do paranormal shows. I heard many stories. I love the mountains and camping. After listening to your stories, my brother's stories, I creep myself out while up in the mountains. Always looking over my shoulder. Always with someone packing. I love listening to you!! Especially when you talk about my side of the mountains. Stay Blessed!!
These lands were inhabited for thousands of years by native people. I believe that their spirits may still be there to guard their land. It’s heart breaking to think that their culture was eradicated. In Siberia, their brothers and sisters still live the old way of life, still speak their languages.
Who knows the story of the toddler who went missing from his parents in a national park and then later on was found unharmed, wearing only his diapers on top of a hill that he couldn’t possibly had climbed by himself? - actually even rescuers had trouble climbing it was so steep and dangerous … 🤷🏻♀️
@@CloudInProd If I am not wrong, I heard this story in one of David Paulides Missing 411 podcasts - this is all I remembered from it, but it gave me chills and I never forgot about it because it is literally dumbfounding and creepy 🤷🏻♀️
I had an unusual experience up past the dam there in 2008. My partner and I walked through the tunnel to the trails. After hiking a while I ended up alone and I sat down on a rock. Then I felt strange. The wind stopped, time stopped Another time we both stopped to sit under a bridge by a creek. We started to pick up rocks and began making a dam. I do not know why we did it. Neither of us spoke at all. Time got away from us and we realized we sat there two hours. Only a few feet apart but neither of us spoke about what we were doing and at the time it seemed perfectly natural. After I read missing 411 I now know we slipped into some mysterious trance. (and no we were not on drugs). We were just "working" Moving these rocks to create a pool/dam so the water did not flow through well. It was peaceful and relaxing and made NO sense at all. We never spoke about it after.
I solo backpacked out there in 2022, and though I didn’t SEE anything, to make a long story short that night, I told the universe, or whatever, that if I were allowed to leave in the AM, I promised I would not ever come back. I live in Tuolumne County.

There was a park ranger that went missing in CA and wasn’t found for 5 years… I do believe many of these people get injured by falls and end up dying somewhere in the open vastness and are probably either eaten or decay from the extreme weather conditions.

I saw one of these shadow creatures in broad daylight in the woods in Northern California when I was about 9 years old. It ran without making noise at a speed that no human could run at. At one point it was within 10 yards of me. Me of the scariest moments of my life.
@user-vo7uo8ym2y it looked like a human but every feature of it was jet black, like it was sucking in all light and no features were visible despite it being in the middle of the day. When my mom was a teenager she saw a black figure on the same property that moved the way you described “Kevin’s cutouts in Home Alone”. When she saw it it was floating in a wide open area no more than 15 yards from her illuminated by the light of a full moon. It was jet black with a human shaped body. It floated maliciously for several minutes, piercing her with what felt like telepathically transmitted hate until it simply vanished into thin air. So on this same property separated by about twenty years my Mom and I saw both versions of what you’re talking about. Neither of them had what could be described as cloaks/clothes. They were faceless jet black human figures who pulled in all light and reflected none back.
We've had some strange occurrences in Zion National Park in the last few years. The latest was a woman went out for a day hike and didn't return. She was found several days later right near the parking lot she had left, in a very strange state of mind. It was obvious she had been traumatized by someone, or something. But she never said what really happened.

This was a fascinating episode, gave me the chills! Way back in July of 1989 I stayed for a month in California with friends, then living in San Luis Obispo. I had driven from the east coast, meeting my friends in Denver, from where we drove to California, stopping at tourist sites along the way. One weekend I decided to drive to Yosemite to do some hiking, which was about 120 miles from San Luis Obispo. In those days there was parking inside the borders of the park, where I parked my car for a day hike up Half Dome via the John Muir trail, if memory serves. I bought a chunk of frozen salmon to eat on the hike at a local store, which I consumed about halfway along the trail. But now my hands smelled of salmon, and the thought occurred to me that any bears, with their excellent sense of smell, would be attracted to me. So I did my best to wash off the oily residue in a stream. Fortunately no bears showed up. The next day I hiked the Bridal Veil trail. I still have tons of photos from these hikes. The vistas along these trails and from the summit of Half Dome were absolutely breathtaking.
It's nice to meet you, friend. My dad knew a gentleman years ago, who had seen Sasquatch. This person had told him that the Native people knew of them and that there had been many such encounters. It was casual and the being did not harm him nor threaten him. I think that we will one day learn more about these beings. Thank you so much for sharing!
@@healthiswealth1452 Yea, you can tell that to yourself. Why you don´t go into the woods for a long time and try to stay sane at night. Maybe you will encounter strange things then.
My theory on missing hikers is that .. If I were an eight foot primate in the woods eating smaller primates,I would hang out in a pine or evergreen and yank them up for "processing". This would explain alot... Searchers aren't looking up. Bodies or belongings found in well searched areas. Bodies/survivors found at great distances in a short time, trees make easy travel for a large primate. Also Bodies have been found in trees. If tarzan was eight feet tall and a cannibal, you would disappear without a trace just like that.
Neanderthal fed on Cro-magnon and they never died off. Neanderthal was humanoid but not human like. Neanderthal was closer to being a primate than homo sapiens.
The "Hulking deformed wolf" was a Dogman. While it is known that Sasquatch/Sabe have been spotted in Yosemite Park, and throughout the Sierras, this is the first account of a Dogman sighting reported by a Park Ranger(s). There may be more sightings of course, I just haven't heard. Seeing a Sasquatch is scary, but Dogman is beyond scary! There are many people that have lived to tell about their encounters with Dogman; however, there are many missing people that have not survived their encounter. It is a known fact that Yosemite has the highest number of missing people than any other National Park. Warning: never hike alone; go in groups of 3 or more; ALWAYS carry a personal locator beacon (the kind that sends out beacons on your location); emergency blanket (they only weigh ounces); plenty of water and snacks; sweatshirt, phone, hat, medium single blade knife, matches & emergency medical kit (these items can be distributed amongst your group). And, most importantly, ALWAYS stay together (never, ever split up!). The back country in Yosemite (and all of the sierras), is very rugged country; many hikers have gone missing never to be found. Even on short hikes, always carry these items & go in groups (never alone!). And, dress properly for hiking. Yosemite is a magnificent majestic park; it's beauty is indescribable. It IS a must see, but be smart. 😎 🌄 🏔
There will always be skeptics but I do believe there’s different entities out there, not just these stories but other stories told and different people seeing the same thing. People always think there’s a plausible explanation even when there isn’t one.
I keep hearing that there are these invisible portals scattered throughout various parks and forests which may account for these missing people walking right into them unknowingly. And at the same time, these portals would also help explain how all these weird monstrosities like Bigfoot and dog men are able to just spring up from wherever they had originally come from.
It's believed that there are at least 950 portals throughout the world...some literally open up randomly into another dimensional space and those who end up crossing thru, don't make it to the other side of it, due to the density of air. How I know this? Well, some of you won't really believe or understand simply because of narrow minded views on existence, so in short- I communicate to those who are out of the world ..but besides the point, the another of experience I've had to have in 40 years of my own existence could easily mind boggle even the strongest believer...we won't go there! It's adviced not to try and go thru a portal! You won't make it...
As a native American I fully believe in Sasquatch due to the fact my grandmother who was full blood and spoke native Creek would tell stories of the little people and skinwalkers. You have to stop and think about the Sasquatch, 8 to 10 ft tall, probably weighs 1000lbs, superhuman strength and speed. Probably runs 40mph or so and can lift twice if not 3 times its weight. You are basically talking about The Hulk with hair. This thing could probably slam into you at 40mph like a linebacker and you wouldnt even see it coming. You would be dead instantly and not to mention pick you up and throw you 50yrds off a cliff never to be seen again.
There used to be a video on RUclips of a sheriffs conference, where two Navajo sheriffs gave a presentation about bigfoot. They made a strong case for centuries of evidence, and contended that bigfoot is like a curse attached to specific families or entire tribes. I can no longer find the video anywhere on the internet.

I lived in Yosemite for 10 years and am an avid back country hiker. I didn’t believe the native folklore until I came very close to ‘disappearing’ on several occasions. There is definitely something out there that we can not explain.
I, for one, would love to know about those several occasions! Yikes! When I was in my early 20's I back-packed w/a boyfriend for about 3-4 days in the Sierras, right out of Strawberry, no gun, no bear spray. Talk about naive; but we didn't see another human or much in the way of wild life either... This was around 1980. Now at 66, (besides being old-ish) I wouldn't back-pack for a billion $$$$ 🙃🐻 Just too afraid now! 😬
The reason that some areas are classified as "National Parks" is because these are legally non-Human areas, where ancient interdimensional species are allowed to have their own land. These are territories specifically allocated for non-Human entities. Hiking in these regions is basically like stepping into a foreign country with alien creatures that are invisible, and able to move interdimensionally.
True statement. Most if not all these creatures are spiritual in nature that can shape change, and take physical form. In other words these areas are there domain, and they have power there because humans have not yet moved into those lands.
When you put it that way it's a different perspective, at first I thought this website was BS clikbait. But I do realize there are Fallen Angels (Demons) that do exist.
@@udontnome they are not nessisarily "fallen angels" as you put it,not everything has to be religious bloke, there are many more dimensions beyond our known dimensions and that is where these creatures originate from.
I am Hmong, born in the mountains of Laos but raised in the States since three years old. In the mountains and/or jungles, there is something very much like Bigfoot. We call it "mos hlub". The description is pretty much dead on. These stories have been with our people for centuries. The only difference is that the elders had sensationalized this being into something supernatural. It wasn't until I was much much older that I had put two and two together that I realized they were describing a Bigfoot. Bigfoot has to be real, right? Because how could a group of people 100 or 200 years ago, living in the remote mountains in Laos have stories of encountering a being similar to Bigfoot. During that period of time, they barely had any outside interaction with the rest of the world.
@@chiefhowlingwolfhannibal7360 from the stories that were told, the beings did not exhibit any supernatural powers. They were portrayed to be supernatural because of their size, how they ran, their strange behavior and the frequency of them being seen or the lack of being seen. There are stories from encounters, from survivors that gives me the impression that the Bigfoot is a highly intelligent or highly evolved mammal or primates.
I am a seasoned paranormal investigator and a cryptid expert. I train with members of the BFRO. I would love to speak as I’ve spent countless hours in the mountains!
It’s shockingly easy to get lost in certain areas of parks. Trails aren’t always well-marked or maintained because they’re less popular. Many hikers, myself included, like these more secluded trails and the peace they bring. I don’t hike alone, but I’ve even had group hikes turn into a bit of a confusing situation. I’m sure some of these instances are truly unexplainable, but I wouldn’t say that disappearing without a trace has to mean something supernatural happened. Even more than trafficking, mountain ranges pose risks in terms of crazy terrain where people can fall/never be found - and, sometimes, feral or secluded people might inhabit those areas. Mt Shasta comes to mind as a famous case, but I live near the Appalachian mountains and we hear stories of this all the time too. I think it’s important to keep these real-life risks in mind (in addition to what you mentioned with trafficking and animal attacks).
About the "gone without a trace" part. It has been well documented that many people became disoriented and lost after 'just going off the trail to go pee'. Some people actually survived for many days and had the bad luck of walking in circles and more than once people came to within 20m or so from the trail and sadly altered their course again to then end up starving so very close to salvation. These was this one case where an elderly woman eventually starved after going lost just like that and she had her final camp only 40 meters from the trail. In that thick a bush it isn't that strange for search parties to miss the spot by only a few meters. All in all I'm thus not that surprized to find people completely disappearing. --- A lesson to all: always stay where you can see the trail, keep a compass with you AND use it before you start going of the path so you can get back.
If you check a lot of the cases around mt Shasta they’re very unsettling they aren’t hiking alone they report the person that went missing saying they had just looked at them on the trail behind them took there eye off of them for a second and boom they were gone never to be found or seen again and no noises or footprints to indicate anything several stories with this very same theme
Yosemite is absolutely beautiful. A few buddies and I were there a few years ago. We were walking this trail along the mountain side when out of nowhere a huge Boulder came crashing down a few feet behind us. It was clearly thrown because there was no way anyone threw something that heavy or from the area it had fallen from. The trail was along a pretty steep mountainside. So not only would it of been hard for someone to walk on it would of been even harder to keep balance while throwing a heavy ass rock like that. It didn't feel normal. Needless to say we got off of the trail immediately
The fact that even a search dog can’t track down these people is very concerning and unusual. You have to consider the response time from when they went missing to when search and rescue began. The faster the response the better the chances of finding them. If the response is within a couple hours and they still never find a trace of them this is very odd. And I personally don’t buy the whole, they just fell into a crevice in the rock thing, that would still leave a trace. Within a few hours of dying there would be vultures circling and within a few days there would be an unbearable stench. And they would still leave things behind like clothes, shoes, backpack ect.
I’m 55 years old. I’ve been hiking since I was 16. I’ve never hiked in a party. Or with another person. I hike in national parks 5-7 times every year. Typical hike lasts 3-7 days. I’ve seen some strange things. But I’ve never had anything happen where I ever felt my life was in danger. Trust your instincts always. And always, always, be aware of you surroundings at all times. And always bring an item of self defense which is easily accessible, and can not be used against you easily.
I go to Yosemite every Spring and Fall. There's something strange in the air during the fall when it's lonely. I always tell that to my friends. I've come to think its the spirits of those who've died there in the valley and who're buried next to the visitor center. Who knows, but these stories feel relevant to what i experience. The atmosphere in the valley feels uneasy after the summer.
Funny you mwntion the Fall air. As a kid the air in the Fall was always pleasant somehow. The atmosphere was comforting. I grew up in the northeast Georgia mountains.
Spirits of dead giants on and under the earth. The spirits of their rebellious angelic fathers( who took human wives at their choosing and produced offspring...giants ) bound in the rock. Perhaps even living giants in the area. They all possess ancient knowledge from the unseen world. It's not the human spirits
I came to the brutal realization that a lot more people go missing and or killed while being in a forest, woods or national parks by themselves or in small groups without firepower and supernatural defense gear. You really have to be built up in the spirit for hikes now more than ever.
Great storytelling. my husband and I have been to 40 National parks in the last 30 years. Never anything supernatural, but really follow our instincts when hiking and don't hike or drive around at night. New follower!👍
After listening to your stories which are excellent, WHY would anyone even consider hiking or camping alone. I myself could never ever go into the wilderness even if there where 20 of us together, not my thing but admire the scenery.
I used to deep woods backpack with my x-bf. We did some really beautiful trails and spent a lot of time sleeping in our little tent in the forest. Even though there was 2 of us we NEVER went into the forest unarmed. Ever.. there are things that cannot be explained out there.

Info about first story. The park and sheriff department has kept it a secret that 5 missing people from other areas of the park were found in the area searched for the guy in the first story. The remains were all found fairly close together and clothing was only torn up in the stomach area but otherwise intact. Current theories is man eating mountain lion, or a serial killer.
I'll tell you how some of those people disappear. They go off the path to explore, all the trees start looking the same, and each step they take to get back leads them deeper into the wrong direction and a sense of panic can set in. I have spent countless hours exploring wooded areas since childhood and have been turned around a few times over the years. I can say it only takes a minute or two to get completely turned around once you are out of the line of sight of your path or the creek/river. This really becomes complicated when there's not much light out. The first time I was turned around, I literally had a panic attack because heading out, I wasn't able to find the landmarks I thought I would see that would show me where to exit..and its an area I've spent untold hours in. Fortunately, I got my bearing just enough to realize I could follow the creek in either direction and would eventually hit a bridge/road.
Gee in a very large wilderness area with a very high visitor rate, a lot of folks go missing and aren’t found. If you’ve never spent time outdoors you aren’t likely understand just how easy it is to get lost, and how hard it is to find something or someone, without very precise search parameters
Shouldn’t this be avoided by taking a compass and a map both digital and mobile physical both digital map compass and physical map compas gps and transponder and satellite radio have plenty of survival supplies and basic knowledge of survival and once lost don’t just keep wandering make camp and stay in one spot keep constantly marking your locations and following your path on map knowing where your exit is back to home and where your path is you took?
If my parents had known back then what we know now, they would never have let me and my brother go walking off by ourselves. We didn't get out of sight of them, I was 9 and he was 8. There was a lot of brush and thick woods on either side of the path. Never mind Sasquatch, there were bears, big cats and people that we didn't know. There were very real dangers. I thank God for protecting us. This was in Yosemite in 1962.

I heard a similar story. Two men went for a hike when they saw this big rock with an opening to go inside it. They both went in , they were amazed how much space there was in there. After a few minutes one of the guys walked out ready to continue their hike. When he looked back his friend wasn’t there. He went inside the rock to see he had disappeared! He hurried back to town to tell the others. Of course they thought he had murdered his friend so they took him to jail. After years of telling the same story they decided to believe him and let him lead them to the rock where he last saw his friend. They brought a priest in case a bod was found he could bless them. As all these people walked inside the rock they heard music and the sound of people talking and having dinner. That scared them so much because it was weird and they were able to all fit inside. As they kept walking they found the guy! Not hurt not starving, just having a good time. The priest took his arm and ran outside with him. This lost man had not aged since last seen and said that he was only there for a few minutes, not knowing years had passed ( like in another dimension) after he left that place he started aging rapidly and passed away a few years later. Something I hear is common when someone is stuck in a different dimension for a while.
I feel most people end up missing or found dead in the mountains. I recently had my own experience after camping in the woods near Lost lake Oregon. One thing I enjoy doing is exploring my surroundings. I was situated a couple hundred yards from a creek that was very much covered with overgrown bushes and trees. There was no visible path to the creek do to everything being overgrown so watching your step was critical. With my observations earlier that day, I knew I was the only one out there and no campers or hikers would be. Later that day 830pm I'm looking out my car window and see a light down the path I took. Keep in mind there's no place to camp and everything heavily over grown. This light possibly a head light was getting closer as is it stumbling left to right and the light is getting closer it's getting brighter. I'm wide awake but my gut feeling told to get the heck out. Point being said the mountains is a mysterious place, a great place for predators and for people coming up missing. It wasn't my time to become missing. I packed up and left with my heart racing. I wasn't armed and didn't want to take a chance. Always go armed when going into the woods. 21:4821:4821:48
My highest respect to all solo hikers/ campers because I can never do it. I’m just TOO scared to be out in the open alone at night + the thought that only a thin sheet of tent would separate me from potential predators (human or otherwise)… 😱 No. Just Hell NO. 😥 And listening to these stories sure isn’t helping. 😆
ya, i do a lot of camping trips, and usually longer trips for a month or more, and it can be tough to get used to those things. the cool thing about longer trips is that after the first couple of nights it usually gets better, especially if you are staying in the same area. cuz you're like "ok, nothing has messed with me yet, so this place seems decently safe" then you can start sleeping better. i personally wake up very easy, like here at my house if someone comes to my bedroom door im usually awake before they knock. and when you're out camping most people usually sleep lighter. if you pay attention and know what to look for when picking a campsite, and trust your gut, then you will probably be fine. if there isn't a bunch of animal sign like markings on trees, animal poop, half eaten things... and if it is a well established campsite that gets used pretty often, you should be good. most of the time animals besides squirrels and birds will do whatever they can to avoid people, so developed camp sites are best if you are worried about animals. when it comes to dealing with people, treat it like basically any other situation. if they seem normal, don't give you a bad feeling, don't hang around your campsite a bunch, and aren't spending too much time trying to figure out what gear you have or looking into your tent or vehicle, then you should be fine. but if someone is acting weird or makes you feel uneasy, especially if there are only a few people around, then pack up and move. maybe there's a more populated site 10 miles down the road, or on the other side of the lake? and you should always have at least 1 or 2 people back home that know where you are, and that you check in with regularly, so if you decide to move spots let them know, and let them know why, and if you happened to get a picture of the person that made you uncomfortable, and maybe their license plate if they were in a vehicle, then send those pics along to your people at home. that way if something does happen, and you don't check in on time, they have info that could help you if things went wrong. but %99.999 of the time, there will be nothing to worry about. i spent a month hammock camping in Hawaii last summer, and overall it went well, but i did have a few giant centipedes crawl on me, ran into a few wild pigs, had a couple of meth head locals try to fight me, and one sucker punch me. but nothing messed with me while i was asleep. the only thing that came near me while i slept was the mongooses and stray cats looking for food scraps, and a cool local that left me a big bag of bananas that he had picked. but ya, even with my experience i still get weirded out when camping, especially when i do it alone. one thing you can do that helps people deal with this uneasiness is to take a dog with you. a big dog with a loud bark is one of the best defenses against most threats, and it will help you feel more comfortable because they will smell, hear, and just sense danger way before you do there are apps that can help you find good spots to camp. i like campendium, it's good for finding spots, and there's a comment and rating system so you can get info on other people's experiences at that site, and they can mark things like if they gotr cell service and from what provider, if RVs are allowed, if there are power and water hookups... then once you find a spot you like on there you can check that spot on an app called FreeRoam and see what it's safety rating is and all sorts of other info. or do it the other way, but both apps are great to have, both have a bunch of filters including price per night, if they have bathrooms or showers, if they have access to drinking water... and if you use both of them together you should have no problem finding good spots. but in the end you just gotta face your fears and just go for it, after you have done your research on the area of course
@@rfabsulous I usually go alone since most of my trips are longer than people usually want to go camping for. But I agree, it is always a good idea to go with a friend or 2 when you can. Not only is it a little safer, but it can also be more fun
I absolutely believe that there are places where time and dimension intertwine to account for some disappearances. I recall a documentary of areas such as Mount Shasta, north of the Yosemite area where the native peoples have said that there are portals in the mountain that account for countless disappearances.
My brother from another mother whom I know would not make this up says he was walking home through the neighborhood one night and heard grunting and scurrying, turned around and saw something similar to human form but sort of blurry and moving super fast . Said it just scurried away from him and he hustled home scared as hell . Still super weird we do not know wtf it could have been at all .
I casually keep up with the missing 411 here and there and it does seem like something weird is going on in the national parks. Sometimes kids go missing but are eventually found and have strange stories about what happened and there’s so many of them that you can’t write it off as coincidence.
Like how that 1 kids talked about an endless morning or i heard about the other that disguised itself like the childs grandparent and told him to eat something before the kid left the cave the entity captured the kid in.
Idk man, aliens, Bigfoot, other supernatural beings even? Or I could be that there is a cult or a group of serial killers that operate in yhe parks because it's harder to track these people that go missing from there. Honestly that's much more likely then aliens but I think there are some situations where even that's possible. It's hard to say without more knowledge! What are your thoughts?
I hope y’all read this . I too love the supernatural and am fascinated by it all!! I am sad to say I think the kids with weird stories is just a young mind in survival mode . I think those kids are actually slowly dying out in the woods and are lucky enough to wander in a direction someone finds them . Which opens up another can of worms . I truly believe we are guided and have guardians of same shape or form . Perhaps those guardians guide the children the right way . (I think children tend to go the right way and more are found than adults because they recently came from the place the “guardians” dwell so they have a stronger connection than adults who roam without direction.)
There’s a story about this guy that was hiking from Cali to Oregon, he was walking through the Lasson National Forest. Along the trail he saw two people in white robes sitting on a boulder, he kept on walking and they just stared at him. He camped out couple times off the trail and kept hearing strange things and his food kept going missing when he tied it up hanging off the tree. And he kept experiencing this the following night. He reached the Pacific Crest trail up by Mt Shasta area and it’s an open trail with high altitude. When he got high and far enough he looked back like 2 miles back and he saw two white dots, I’m guessing he had binoculars or something. He looked again and found out it was the two people he passed days ago that they were following him. Bro took off and didn’t stop running til nightfall. He went 700 feet off trail and camped that night, then later that night flashlights were shining at his campsite and branches snapping. He ran out his tent, hid til morning under a fallen tree that was leaning on this big rock, and ran to the nearest town where he alerted authorities

Your voice is so calming. Just discovered your channel tonight. Will be binge watching tomorrow at work. That's all I do all day is listening to documentaries at the front desk. So grateful for people like you who actually have good information and respect for the victims and their families
Whenever you describe the “scream” your description reminds me of the sound of the howler monkeys that live nearby my Belize jungle home. If you accidentally get too close to them, the sound they make is terrifying. Even after fifteen years, it’s still very unnerving, you never quite get used to it. But the howler moneys are actually rather small, although they sound like huge ferocious monsters. In my imagination, if the creature you describe is larger than a howler monkey, with a deeper, fuller voice… then I am chilled to even imagine how that must sound
An important thing about Yosemite when it comes to missing people as well is that sadly some people go out into the back country for a “long hike” without the intention of ever being found and or coming back.
@Celeste Campbell-The National Park service will do everything possible to deny any creatures exist that could take hikers away. The irony is that no one in the park service knows every inch of the parks as they have never searched for any other forms of life.
There ARE people who know what goes on in the National Parks. There's a reason they were set aside in the first place. The government as well as those agencies governing those parks knows exactly what is in those parks. You will never hear about it from them, however.
People are hiking in the homes of wild animals. They don't know that humans aren't prey, that's what's happening. It's not aliens or human trafficking.
I went to Yosemite for the first time last weekend and this place is no joke. I can easily see people missing and never being found. Not to mention some people may even be able to hide up there. Going back as soon as possible.
I was in Yosemite with my Air Force Major friend and his twin sister. She disappeared for three hours on what should have only been a 15 minute hike. I thought they were messing with me until I heard all these other stories
An interesting sight I witnessed in the Central mountains of Maine, Bigilow Mt. range, at about dusk when most animals get moving,I saw a dog like animal, I was driving my favorite areas on second glance this thing was no dog or coyote, it looked like a cross between a hyena and a wolverine, and it was definitely on the hunt.itfangs were huge and I remuneration the face and head was small, but the body was long and lean. I live in Alaska and have hiked and hunted alone for years, and I have almost died five times. I have almost drowned in freezing water, fractured my leg, got lost in a swamp, fell into a moose hole in a mud swamp, and survived hypothermia. I’ve also been face to face with a bear. Nobody would have found me in any instance because I was always too far out off any trail. Besides serial killers, that’s what happens to these people.
What part? I was born and raised in Palmer, but it doesn't take long going in any direction until you're in the middle of nowhere. I'm an Eagle scout and have been camping in the wilderness here my entire life, but sometimes there's just nothing you can do to be prepared for what comes your way.
@angelahighwolf nice! Love Hatchers Pass♡ The coldest winter camping I've ever done was out there. Stayed for the weekend building snow shelters to sleep in, got down to almost -50°F. Had to get up to pee in the middle of the night and when I crawled out of my snow shelter the northern lights were blazing brighter than I've ever seen them before in my life. Normally they're green and barely visible but that night they were blue/purple/red, I'll never forget it.
I live in Appalachia there are things in these woods you couldn’t explain or even fathom to understand people think folklore is fake until you experience it for yourself there are definitely strange things I don’t doubt the sightings of these people one bit
I fully believe that all myths and legends (including folklore) contain more truth than many realize. As many of the stories were passed down orally they have changed over the years, but at their core they hold truth.
People don’t realize how remote Hetch Hetchy is. Yosemite and many other places are remote but popular. Hetch Hetchy is isolated ~ and that trek to Elenor is crazy remote. The cliffs are sheer. I noticed this always happens to me while everyone seemed fine. Yosemite always leaves a cold feeling in my bones. I don’t know if it’s because of the cold weather being in the Valley or what.
Good video mate. It is amazing the amount of experienced hikers, suvivalists, Park Rangers, Ex-Military etc disappear in National Parks. They would be the last people you would think would disappear, but I have started researching disappearances in National Parks and it seems to happen quite a lot. A case of familiarity breeds contempt perhaps??
We definitely do NOT need any more of these bullshit videos. I could barely handle 3 minutes of it. Find a hobby or something, and do not waste your time here.
There is talk of dimensional portals that people end up walking into and can’t find their way out. It’s even been known that people can sometimes hear them calling for help but can’t be found.
YEP ! Portals Are the only explanation for complete disappearances. And what of the two mystery spots. One near Santa Cruz, I've been there as a kid. It freaked me out. Then another one in/near Eureka, CA. I was with my husband in the early 2000's before 2010? We didn't go but they had a museum and they had stories of them there too...
Man, I wonder what they experience in those dimensions. I really wouldn't mind walking into a portal, but would want it to be awesome and not somewhere I feel I have to escape. I really wouldn't mind staying😅 If you have any info or resources on this stuff, please let me know!! Maybe someone has come back to share their experience. If one can accidentally walk into a portal, I wonder how easy it is to find these spots purposefully.

P.S. when hiking in a group, do not allow people to fall behind (no stragglers) or take a different path, not ever (pair up, keep track of one another while staying together as a group).
These are very good rules.
Everyone needs to have a whistle and trail map as well.
I prefer to be by myself when I am in a park, does not matter which one
I've never had an encounter with any kind of cryptid but I am a firm believer that there's a lot more to this world than what is widely known or accepted by mainstream science.
Even if I hadnt had any experiences, and living in the wooded areas of Washington state I have, I would still be hesitant to disbelieve cryptids exist. We don't know everything about our world, people that say " that's impossible because whatever reason" are just narrow-minded. There are places in the world that are untouched and old, we don't know what's out there.
💯 accurate! We don't know, nor have we "seen it all!"
Dimensional beings, portals..?

Yosemite is full full full of cougars and black bears. Anytime, anywhere, you see deer or elk, there are predators near. Remember that and be alert.

I worked and lived in Yosemite for 7 years. The first instance you mentioned in the Hetch Hetchy Valley isn't all that bizarre.
Plus, if Sasquatch are a species of great ape, I submit this for your consideration:
Trail cams are set up where Chimpanzee, Orangutan and Silverback Gorilla are KNOWN to be- and RARELY, if ever, are they caught on camera.
Being youthful, we thought "bear!"
However, consider:
A bear would have shown itself, and bears do not hurl objects.
We had been in a clearing; my companion had nailed flattened tin cans to several trees as targets for his BB gun.
Nailing and knocking are similar. While he was doing so, we heard a delayed "echo" and thought, "Oh, wow, cool echo!"
This was 1978.
@@lesliemccormick6527I believe! Bigfoot Is blurry though. It,s not the photagraphers or cameras fault. Bigfoot is simply. blurry.
We all went quiet with world around us & looked at each other like, “you seeing this?”
I mean it man. He’d lent it to me for the trip “just in case.” (his words)
I took one step, two steps, three steps, SNAP.
Why no comments??? This is interesting ...

Excellent description of the event. Much appreciated.
Turned out they went and stopped at a convenience store to pick up snacks before heading across the road to the woods, before going camping and they said to me "Omg, what you said to us, was true!"
They told me how they stopped at the Farm store.

May have had distemper. It is common for foxes & wolves to approach road s and be fearless, not respond normally when they are sick
Stand on like two legs or was just on all fours just in the middle of the road?
Basically the moral of the story is: don’t go hiking ALONE in national parks or anywhere in the woods, for that matter.
Amen!
Yes , exactly!
And always pack a weopon
I guess. If indeed this is some supernatural phenomenon, you are toast- whether you’re alone with your family or friends.
Nah just American Woods I hike multi days off tracks alone where I live all the time
I built a cabin in the foothills of the Blue Mountains in Oregon years ago.
Creepiness excellently conveyed.
Are you sure you aren't just paranoid? Not a bad thing really, it's probably made you avoid any risk.

Natives often practice witchcraft, and not the nice kind. I wouldn't be surprised if the natives conjured up something demonic.
They even have an official chain of command back to the Vatican’ where the big dog decides if you’re possessed or just crazy
Or if Jesus face really did show up on a piece of toast
Catholics are Christian.
The best part about posting videos like this are the experiences people are sharing in the comment section!!!!!!!!!!!

You just sound scared. Don’t believe it I would be fine.

There is a bear mange problem across the U.S. Look up pics. Could it have been a bear with mange? It can make them skinny, grey, etc.
@@shaymich2395 bro what he described is nothing like a bear with mange. Lol especially since alot of Wolf breeds are actually quite big and he said this one was bigger than those.

I remember David Paulides talking about that incident. Truly Bizzare.
There is a book of missing people and it shows how some were found miles and miles away from where they originally were. It's crazy.

Right along the sandy River. There’s lots of action too. No giant Horsemen probably bad lighting. You’re actually really lucky to see one.

WHERE IS THE R*EPLY UT*UBE???
Although I don't believe that there are apes in the woods I think unidentified animals are likely. Good theory
It is a good theory.
Or they're grabbed by something hiding in a hole or a depression in the ground.

You’re right. National parks lead to places people have no idea about.
Tbh I think all these disappearings at national parks are cases of human trafficking, do more research. They're underground.
There called caves
This reminds me of primeval lol
Bigfoot blame it on the dogmen.

Hiking in these regions is basically like stepping into a foreign country with alien creatures that are invisible, and able to move interdimensionally.
yup been saying this!
True statement. Most if not all these creatures are spiritual in nature that can shape change, and take physical form. In other words these areas are there domain, and they have power there because humans have not yet moved into those lands.
Definitely agree with your comment 100%.
It’s real. Hmong in the Chinese mountains has seen and talk about them too.
They're real but they're interdimensional. That's why they can't find any bodies. Don't laugh. Parallel worlds is real science.
What makes you think Bigfoot aren't supernatural?
@@chiefhowlingwolfhannibal7360 from the stories that were told, the beings did not exhibit any supernatural powers. They were portrayed to be supernatural because of their size, how they ran, their strange behavior and the frequency of them being seen or the lack of being seen. There are stories from encounters, from survivors that gives me the impression that the Bigfoot is a highly intelligent or highly evolved mammal or primates.

It's very sad when the families don't get closure
---
A lesson to all: always stay where you can see the trail, keep a compass with you AND use it before you start going of the path so you can get back.
Good advice. Whether supernatural things exist or not, the most common danger in the woods is not being careful and making poor decisions.
It's the way that some folks have vanished that's baffling. Such as footprints that just end and there was nowhere to go or hole to fall into.
I used to camp during my Boy Scout days. Aside from my first aid kit, I always carried a compass, a good utility knife, and matches.
In my culture it’s called blinded by the owner of the land. Very similar to what you said they circle the same area because the way out is blocked.
Yosemite has about 80 rockfalls a year. It’s normal.

I'm sure the park rangers and sheriff hide things so the public doesn't go worry.

21:48 21:48 21:48

I’m just TOO scared to be out in the open alone at night + the thought that only a thin sheet of tent would separate me from potential predators (human or otherwise)… 😱 No. Just Hell NO. 😥 And listening to these stories sure isn’t helping. 😆
feel the same
ya, i do a lot of camping trips, and usually longer trips for a month or more, and it can be tough to get used to those things. the cool thing about longer trips is that after the first couple of nights it usually gets better, especially if you are staying in the same area. cuz you're like "ok, nothing has messed with me yet, so this place seems decently safe" then you can start sleeping better. i personally wake up very easy, like here at my house if someone comes to my bedroom door im usually awake before they knock. and when you're out camping most people usually sleep lighter.
if you pay attention and know what to look for when picking a campsite, and trust your gut, then you will probably be fine.
if there isn't a bunch of animal sign like markings on trees, animal poop, half eaten things... and if it is a well established campsite that gets used pretty often, you should be good. most of the time animals besides squirrels and birds will do whatever they can to avoid people, so developed camp sites are best if you are worried about animals.
when it comes to dealing with people, treat it like basically any other situation. if they seem normal, don't give you a bad feeling, don't hang around your campsite a bunch, and aren't spending too much time trying to figure out what gear you have or looking into your tent or vehicle, then you should be fine. but if someone is acting weird or makes you feel uneasy, especially if there are only a few people around, then pack up and move. maybe there's a more populated site 10 miles down the road, or on the other side of the lake? and you should always have at least 1 or 2 people back home that know where you are, and that you check in with regularly, so if you decide to move spots let them know, and let them know why, and if you happened to get a picture of the person that made you uncomfortable, and maybe their license plate if they were in a vehicle, then send those pics along to your people at home. that way if something does happen, and you don't check in on time, they have info that could help you if things went wrong. but %99.999 of the time, there will be nothing to worry about.
i spent a month hammock camping in Hawaii last summer, and overall it went well, but i did have a few giant centipedes crawl on me, ran into a few wild pigs, had a couple of meth head locals try to fight me, and one sucker punch me. but nothing messed with me while i was asleep. the only thing that came near me while i slept was the mongooses and stray cats looking for food scraps, and a cool local that left me a big bag of bananas that he had picked.
but ya, even with my experience i still get weirded out when camping, especially when i do it alone.
one thing you can do that helps people deal with this uneasiness is to take a dog with you. a big dog with a loud bark is one of the best defenses against most threats, and it will help you feel more comfortable because they will smell, hear, and just sense danger way before you do
there are apps that can help you find good spots to camp. i like campendium, it's good for finding spots, and there's a comment and rating system so you can get info on other people's experiences at that site, and they can mark things like if they gotr cell service and from what provider, if RVs are allowed, if there are power and water hookups... then once you find a spot you like on there you can check that spot on an app called FreeRoam and see what it's safety rating is and all sorts of other info. or do it the other way, but both apps are great to have, both have a bunch of filters including price per night, if they have bathrooms or showers, if they have access to drinking water... and if you use both of them together you should have no problem finding good spots.
but in the end you just gotta face your fears and just go for it, after you have done your research on the area of course
Yep Yep yep AGREEDDDDDDD, nope never
Its honestly not a good idea to ever go alone, regardless of gender.
LOOOOOLLL
Exactly.
Wow Mt Shasta. Wow
Heard this about places in Arizona.
Agree
What do you think is going on?
Idk man, aliens, Bigfoot, other supernatural beings even? Or I could be that there is a cult or a group of serial killers that operate in yhe parks because it's harder to track these people that go missing from there. Honestly that's much more likely then aliens but I think there are some situations where even that's possible. It's hard to say without more knowledge! What are your thoughts?
Any videos you can recommend?
Sound like a cult (white robes) from a dif stories iv heard
Thats from a random reddit user that Mr. Ballen covered. My least favorite video of his because its from reddit with no evidence and more than likely completely made up.
Lame story
I heard the same storie too

Mountain lions. Massive cats that scream and it sounds like a person who's screaming as they're torn apart. Terrifying sound.
How do you even get a jungle home
I love Belize, lucky you.❤
An important thing about Yosemite when it comes to missing people as well is that sadly some people go out into the back country for a “long hike” without the intention of ever being found and or coming back.
good point
Yes a suicide in beauty makes terrible sense.
There's definitely something strange going on within our national parks what it is no one knows it is so creepy I hope everyone stays safe out there
@Celeste Campbell-The National Park service will do everything possible to deny any creatures exist that could take hikers away. The irony is that no one in the park service knows every inch of the parks as they have never searched for any other forms of life.
Celeste Campbell The devil is in there having a field day that's how he passes his time and that's how he amuses himself it's so messed up.
@@amiblack8294 they know there's wild animals
I went to Yosemite for the first time last weekend and this place is no joke. I can easily see people missing and never being found. Not to mention some people may even be able to hide up there. Going back as soon as possible.
I was in Yosemite with my Air Force Major friend and his twin sister. She disappeared for three hours on what should have only been a 15 minute hike. I thought they were messing with me until I heard all these other stories
One should always carry a tracking device with them at all times wen out hiking that way you can have a better chance of getting help

Right ON
And a 44 magnum
@donald duck what ? A 44 magnum
@donald duck there will be instructions with it when you buy it. Or if you are in a national forest you can rent one at the forestry center.
I definitely said that I didn’t see that. To this day, that creature will mesmerized me. I am 100% disabled, therefore I do a lot of road running in my 4+4 truck. I have been driving these roads for35+ yrs. I always have a firearm and knife. I am 90% alone most times an always have kit, for a few days in case I breakdown or worse. I am now 64 yrs, it will be a good idea too invest in a beacon light, thanks for reading, Bearhunter5

The ravines are steep and if you get injured, you’re done.

I don't remember this myself, as I was only around 4 years old. I was camping or hiking with my mom in Montana (we lived there then) I somehow suddenly went missing and she searched for me for hours, and called my name for hours, and eventually I just walked up to her from out of the trees, smiling.
If I ever tell someone I saw a huge creature somewhere and I'm still living or working in that area, you can bet I'm lying. I would leave and never go within 200 miles of that area.
But they're everywhere.
You cannot leave everyplace. People see scary ghost entities in home and still live in it because financial conditions don't alloe
Forrest stories like this are some of my favorite things on YT. Not many AskReddit videos do this anymore, and finding content like this and the 411 cases just scratch that itch I always have.
People have gone missing right in Yosemite Valley. If you been there, you know it’s nearly impossible.
I’m very sensitive to spiritual and weird stuff. When we drove into Yosemite valley and started hiking through the touristy areas I felt very unsettled and just wanted to go home. I noticed this always happens to me while everyone seemed fine. Yosemite always leaves a cold feeling in my bones. I don’t know if it’s because of the cold weather being in the Valley or what.
The valley does that with me too, Tuolumne Meadows, up on the Tioga Pass is the opposite for me.😂

There is merit in your statement. Hubris can affect anybody if you don’t follow the rules about maintaining your bearings at all times.

We didn't go but they had a museum and they had stories of them there too...
not the only explanation, being abducted aka beamed up by a UFO is a highly plausible scenario @@maryvelneelemantenaya1966
It is insane to hike alone! No matter how experienced! Accidents can happen and if you have someone with you they can help you!
