I have been exploring those mountains for 35 years. There isn't very much of it I haven't walked, crawled, climbed, or scrambled through. The areas I have seen or experienced odd things are close to cades cove late at night in the winter, Albright grove where the last old growth trees are late at night, and the area I have seen or felt the oddest and at times even in danger is always on the North Carolina side of the park. The TN side sees much more traffic and people. There are remote areas on the NC side that I would rather not explore again at night solo. In the remote areas on the NC side, I have on several occasions found unexplainable and unidentifiable tracks near my camp. Twice I have felt as If I was being tracked and would double back on my path and find the same odd tracks off trail going in the same direction I was traveling. I grew up in the area hunting and was trained in land NAV while in the Army. Tracking spoor is something I do well and I have never been able to track the prints to their end. They just stop and are gone. I have never seen more than a glimpse of whatever is tracking people out there or what people are seeing, just tracks. I have seen very large bears, mountain lions, and bobcats, and know all their tracks and signs. I have no idea what makes the tracks I find out there on rare occasions. Some are very large but resemble a person's footprint, and the ones that make me go WTH are nothing like a person's footprint. They are elongated like a man but have odd heel and toe markers including toe prints that resemble a canine. Like I said I have only seen tracks so they could be manufactured for all I know but it sure gets very strange sometimes in some parts of the mountains. I found similar tracks in the everglades and in the Leatherwood Wilderness in Arkansas. In all the time I have been backpacking and hiking these areas I have only found these tracks 5 times in 35 years so it has been very rare.
I think there are portals in various places where time doesn't flow like normal..people and creatures get caught in them and displaced...I remember the book" The Forgotten Door" which was about a portal in the Appalachian Mountains. I always wondered if the author had some personal experience or knew someone who did.
My husband & I recently found & photographed tracks in NW Colorado mountains..they looked much like you described. Curious, if we can email you a couple & see what you think. Lucky, we didn’t see what they belonged to either.
Thank you for sharing your experiences, your account is fascinating! I totally believe that there are other creatures out there in certain areas. Here in New Zealand we also have faerie kind of creatures in the Uruwera Forest which is very dense bush over a large area of land with a mountain range. There are other reports of other entities elsewhere in our back country too.
yes rather than listen to him blab on I mute him and cone straight to the comment to read. Far more interesting than his story telling which I find extremely boring and unnecessarily long winded. The comments are always far more satisfying
Back in 1981, I just got discharged from the Marine Corps. Being in the Marine Corps, you really don't get the chance to see much of the world. You might wind up being stationed in the Philippines, but generally, you are stuck on the East Coast or West Coast. You might get a chance to go on a Medcruise or if younop for Embassy Duty. I was stationed on MCAS Cherry Point, NC for 3/4 of my career. I wanted to see parts of the U.S. so I decided to bike home. That's a bicycle with gear and camp out on my way home. I had stopped at a campsite in Pennsylvania. I bedded down for the night in my tent. I didn't get very much sleep because I kept hearing footsteps outside my tent. I would grab my kbar and jump out of my tent to confront whoever was walking around my tent. There was no one there. The ground was covered with leaves, so any footsteps would be heard. This went on through most of the night. I had my kbar ready to fight. I finally got a couple of hours of sleep. It was now daylight. I got up and started to break camp when I heard those footsteps again. I finally was able to see and confront those making the noise. I saw two squirrels. One squirrel would scurry about a foot, then stop. The next squirrel would scurry about a foot and then stop. They would take turns. The squirrels were the ones walking around my camp most of the night. 😂
That's a good one. I had something similar happend to me in Florida. I was in my early 20s at a house party. The house backed into an old abandoned cemetery. It was like 20 yards into the woods. I was a little buzzed but not drunk. I decided to walk into the woods to pee. I was curious about the cemetery, so I walked to it. it was about midnight and completely black out. I decided to pee by this tree and in the distance, I saw these glowing eyes 👀. I ran out of there and got some buddies with flash lights. We went back and it turned out to be a huge great horned owl 🦉....hahahaha scared the crap outta me. The cemetery was creepy but no evil spirits or demons....just an owl on a branch. lol😂
The Great Smoky Mountains NP is my backyard. PS - It is spelled Smoky, not Smokey Also, if you hike around here, don't go in groups smaller than 3+ even in daytime and get back to your vehicle before dark. If you come to see the fall leaves touring by car, get off the mountain(s) before dark. If you camp, stay only in designated campgrounds and don't pick the site farthest from other campers. Stay grouped. Stay away from Top o' the World, TN. Stay out of the abandoned homes and cabins in themountains here, although the urge to explore them will be overwhelming, don't, unless you're prepared for anything from ghosts to creatures. These mountains are creepy even at noon. Things stalk people and lure them off trails.
When we visited Tennessee we went to the Great Smoky mountains national park near cling mans dome. At one point in our hike both my son and I came upon this area off the trail that was almost magical. It was the most beautiful looking corridor of open field that was bordered on both sides by thick forest. The sun was lightning up this strip of field and the woods were dark on both sides. We looked at each other and I said "son I don't know why but I feel like this section of land is luring me to step off the trail" he said wow me too dad it's so beautiful I just want to walk in there. At that moment something about that spot felt like something was almost evil about it. I said I feel the same son but something tells me we would never be seen again. He looked at me and acknowledged he was feeling the same way. It was the strangest experience I've ever had while in the mountains. I've hiked in the mountains of New Hampshire and Maine for years and never felt like that.
Yep, check out Teresa Lynn Gibson. She mysteriously disappeared right in that area. I’ve been on the same trail as you and I agree, absolutely beautiful but ominous at the same time
I have lived here 53 years! I used to hike by myself all the time, never thought anything about it. The last time I went a few years ago, I got a strange feeling that I could not explain and hurried out of the park to my car! I will never forget it!!
I live about an half hour from the Great Smoky Mountains . I encountered a Bigfoot when I was much younger in the same area . Many reports of Dogman also in the East Tennessee area. These creatures are very real... Thanks for sharing !

I live deep in Virginia's Blue Ridge Highlands. From childhood we were taught to never stare outside after dark. I still hear things, not dogs or coyotes, not cattle, not deer. I've seen unusual footprints, deep scars up high in trees. No, I don't stay out after dark.
USAF Vet, security and surveillance systems specialist. Lived in the Appalachian Mountains on and off all my life. Done a lot of exploring at Brown Mountain, NC. With thermal, emf detection and night vision.. I can say only one thing after all those 30+ years, we have been stalked and watched. We have heard growls that shook the ground beneath our feet and static charges that would discharge, popping on our skin , stinging us at night as the EMF went off the scale. I promise you that there is more than meets the eye in the Appalachians…Be careful there.
@JohnnyLightningV10 you should not got out there with people with special needs. It could be dangerous for them. Iam not sure if you halve down syndrome, but based on what you said I would think so. It might be dangerous for you to.

My wife and I live in NC, only a few hrs from Bryson and normally take a weekend trip there a couple of times a year. It's a beautiful place and we love it, but the last time we stayed there, wasnt the best experience. It was in Feb, and we stayed at a new cabin in a different area then we had been before. I don't know what it was but I felt very uneasy, even scared at night. I barely slept. I didn't mention it to my wife at the time, but a few weeks later I told her about it and she looked at me with huge eyes and told me she had felt exactly the same way.
@@icantthinkofaname15 I didn't tell her at the time because I didn't want to worry her and she didn't tell me for the same reason. I've thought a lot about what could have caused it as well and I'm stumped. While we were there a shop owner told us about a man who claimed to see a bigfoot just a few days before we came. I've heard of people having that extreme uneasiness when they are around, but we never saw or smelled anything. There are so many supernatural things reported to exist in those mountains, who knows what it was.
I lived in Bryson City for about a year and used to visit deep creek for hiking and strolls whenever I could. Never knew about this. I probably would NOT have gone hiking had I known of these rumors!
I was a backcountry ranger in the Great Smoky Mountains NP in 80-82 working the Deep Creek District. Never saw or heard anything unusual in the many days and nights in the woods, but you never know!
I live in this area....I can tell you that there have been many sightings here, not reported to law enforcement, due to not being believed. Thank you for sharing these sightings. There have been Dog Man sightings as well.
I've never been scared of Bigfoot but I have seen a black Panther twice in the same area. However I am VERY AFRAID of Dogman I live in Blount county TN of course and I heard a man was torn to pieces in Citico on the other side of Chillhowee Lake.
I also had a black panther sighting in Brighton Tennessee. It’s west Tennessee. That cat was huge and walked right in front of my car. It was Awesome! 🐆

We just got home from staying 9 days in a cabin up in the smoky mountains. My daughter and I heard noises outside late at night but could not identify them. Almost every night, same noises. When we went outside, we never went outside alone. When we left, we packed up late at night and left at 4am for our drive home. I had such an uneasy feeling packing up, I felt like something was there watching. I couldn’t wait to be done!
Defiantly was. Went to a cabin with my family as well and online the description was way diffrent and turns out there were trails that led to 2 other houses (owner lived in one) and these trails weren’t that long until the other persons house, you could see the lights in the distant and the owner all day ever minute of the day was on his little forwheeler and this dude just had that look about him and his wife had bug eyes wide open but never said a word. At the time I worked out for the army and would wake up 3-5 am randomly and just do some light cardio or run and couple push up sits ups etc, a entire side of this house was glass for the forest view so I’d workout there to watch the animals etc, and that man would be on his forwheeler driving real slow through the night with a flash light and even shined it inside from a distance once . Shit had me paranoid I remeber staying in the cabin most of the time, he had a grandson to that was black and we never seen his daughter or other family. There was one other family staying there it was a Mexican family HUGE but friendly and they got the off vibe to about the guy and was confused to why there was multiple cabins etc. there was a notebook for people to right about there stay in the cabins and all these messages were in similar hand writing I thought it was kinda weird my mom left a bad review on it so I was trynna dip before he seen it cuz dude gave me massive serial killer vibes.
I went to the smokey mountins years ago and didn't see or hear anything but something felt off and I was always scared but couldn't explain why, I wonder if it was my intuition telling me something; the claims of portals being put in these areas are making more sense and I did my own research but apparently elite classes go there to perform rituals.
I’m from that general area, large family. Stories from the mountains kept us all in line. We were absolutely terrified of wandering off . There were too many stories handed down not to have some veracity to them.
Love your channel. BTW. I am Native American, Creek to be specific. We have lots, & I mean lots, of encounters with the Forest Giants or Forest People, throughout the smokey mountains and surrounding areas. We've known about them for centuries. They are 100% Real and still walk the earth.
Hello Neighbor Part Cherokee here and here to fully back up your comment because I have had my own personal encounters with beings that I simply have no name for although it is burned in my memory since childhood and will never forget it til the day I die.
I've hung with alot of Cherokee's and they have alot of stories I 100% believe I've had some pretty crazy sighting but I was a chicken shit always up to no good when I was deep in the woods so I'd run every time
A couple of years ago my husband and I were traveling a winding back road between Asheville and Lake Lure after midnight. As we came out of a sharp curve we had to suddenly stop. In our headlights only about a yard in front of us was a huge black creature who at the time was on all fours but was so huge, easily was higher than the hood of our car so it looked directly into our eyes. My husband said “that’s the hugest wolf he’s ever seen “. It slowly moved across the road and then menacingly turned and faced us while crouching down in a ditch on the opposite side of the road. But as it turned to face us, it was unnatural. It turned as a man- not as a wolf. It crouched with the most hate filled eyes like it was daring us to get out of the car. To this day I am convinced what I saw was a Dogman
You know, there are places where I will never go at night, like, out my front door!!! We are lucky that by daylight we are mostly free to traverse this strange world that we live in.
Honestly bears with conditions similar to mange look very alike large wolves in the dark in headlights. It’s quite possible you saw that. Very unsettling the first time you see one.
As a native of the area, this is why y’all don’t go wandering around in the woods. If you saw something, no you didn’t. Don’t whistle at night. Don’t go out in the woods at night. If you heard something, no you didn’t. Don’t look up in the trees. Keep your head down, mind your business and go the hell home.
Lol as an Apache we would call it “hairy man” that’s the more recent version of his name… apparently he’s a part of the creation story but I’ve never heard that version. So, I’m sure there’s another name for him.
These stories are very interesting. I was born and raised in Knoxville. I've been to the Great Smoky Mountains many times. Our church used to go to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and to the picnic area, as well as Cades Cove. One year one of the kids got lost (they were found), but I remember one year, we abruptly left. I never knew why. Maybe someone saw something strange.
There’s a reservoir in my city that’s heavily wooded for about 10 miles perimeter. We’d go in there at night because we’d heard about haunted stuff. It truly opened my eyes to another world and other possibilities. I never saw anything but the feelings the noises the eerie vibes your body feels is just too much for me.
Thank God I never saw any of these stories back in my day! I can't tell you how many times I'd been MILES back in the Rocky Mountains camping, sometimes for weeks at a time. Ignorance truly was bliss!
I don’t think there’s any problem if you don’t pose any threat. Ignorance was probably your friend. I think these creatures sense intentions, and if you were there for all the right reasons, probably provide you with some level of protection too.

😂 ignorance is not bliss, nothing to see cause there are no sasquatch's, no big foots, no aliens. 😂 People want to believe in everything with ZERO proof.
The Glen and friend encounter, theres another video on RUclips about a woman that loves to hunt in the woods in a high tree stand. She said she had climbed to the top and was just sitting there when she had an uneasy, eerie feeling. She then said she heard the leaves and branches rustling at the height she was sitting. And what surprised her was she could see the leaves moving and branches slightly bending as if something was jumping from tree to tree. It got close and she realized it was invisible all but a blurriness or see through jelly like appearance. So scary.
There are old mountain teachings on how if you see something in the woods, you act like you don't see something. Keep moving and don't make eye contact. Stay calm. Don't be out at night and keep your curtains drawn.
I've been hiking and camping there for 54 years. I'm sure there could be something lurking in the corners. Lots of land to cover . Cades Cove is miles from civilization. Very beautiful. Don't think I'd wanna be out there by myself at night.
I lived by a small airport in Washington state and out behind my house was woods and a trail. I took my 2year old son out there. I was in a few hundred yards and sitting on a tree fall. My son was playing near me on the trail. I just got this feeling of being watched and a terrible feeling that I had to get out of there. I never felt like that before, I didn't even know how far the woods extended. I saw nothing, which I am glad, but left immediately. I always wonder what caused that and never went in there again. After reading 411 type books for years I won't go into the deep woods again. That feeling was too concrete to ignore. Who knows, but listen to your gut. I loved Washington, still miss it.
It sounds like a portal opened up. Air charged, then an explosion (breaking the sound barrier?), and out comes hairy man. These portals seem to favor woodlands and non populated areas. Might explain so many disappearances too.
Looking forward to this. I hiked the Smokey mountains in 1989 with two friends. We were just about to graduate HS and instead of heading to spring break to party, we decided to go hiking. We saw bears and nothing else. Great story.
You are NOT the center of the universe nor your anecdotal experiences THE greatest common denominator of any one thing. There are way too many tragedies--600, 000x each year go missing in Amerika--to dismiss this because YOU HAVEN'T BEEN HURT YET.

I heard a man once tell this story . It was 4 am and he was walking to his truck to go to work and the moon was bright as he was walking to his truck he heard a sound that made him look back at his house and on the roof was a very large 6foot tall bird with large wings just staring at him. He ran to his truck and looked back and it was gone. He says no one believes him
I would. I've saw an 8' Tarantual in the mountains of Colorado. I think it was about 9 years ago and have heard of 3 or 4 other sightings of volkswagon sized spiders in the midwest since.

And you know you have done your job well when 20 people have piled in Crampa’s motor home, that sleeps 6 people. 😎 And remember, do not change what you have been doing in the past. Your original programming was, as it is, great. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit☝️ Thank you for the thumbs up guys. I try to show him the appreciation we all have.
A family member of mine once told me of a "sasquach" encounter of his. He claimed it to be extra dimensional, that he was at his.home barely in the woods and that this thing was actually was afraid of him because it didn't expect to be seen. I wanted to mention this because of the story with the disappearing creature.
i saw the same thing and shot it i was going to observe the creature but was attacked from behind the next thing i know i woke up in hospital with a torn anus
Since nobody can find one, hunt one down, they have to include extradimensional nonsense to explain that. Americans have a collective guilt trip concerning the land they occupied, like they should because it was stolen via genocide. So everything native is considered spooky in their eyes.
I live in the foothills of the Smokies. There are eldritch things there. That said, there are bats the size of a seven year old child. When the forest goes silent, it means there is a predator nearby.
I was in my 20's back in the late 90's. I use to love going on drives around California by myself a lot, and checking out different places. I can't remember exactly where I was, but it was just North of the Golden Gate Bridge off highway 101. I had this bright idea that I was going to go watch the sunset on the ocean and found a trail and started walking just before dusk. I had passed a couple on the way in and kept walking. Well it got really dark really fast in that Rainforest trail I was on. I smelled something dead and rotting. Chilled me to the bone. I started walking back down the trail towards the people I had past not being able to see at all, and thankfully they were nice enough to let me walk with them. They were smart enough to bring a flashlight.
It's amazing how, for the last 15-20 years, most people have been walking around with a camera at all times; and yet no one ever takes a picture or records a video.
@@ganymeade5151 Cryptids must not have DNA or skeletons. From the plethora of alleged sightings, we may assume there are many of these critters. Visited Great Smoky NP for the first time this spring. I can honestly say nothing in the woods can be as horrific as the ghastly overcrowded tourist trap tackiness of downtown Gatlinburg.
Once upon a time Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge were both a lot less touristy and gaudy. I very much preferred it that way. What is currently Dollywood was once called Silver Dollar City and before that it was Gold Rush Junction. Both of those places were tiny compared to the way Dollywood is now and has been for years. I'm from East Tennessee and it would've been fine with me if Dollywood had never existed. I haven't been in Gatlinburg in a long time and I don't see that changing. I'd love to go back but I'm not fighting the traffic or the crowds for it. Last time I was in Wears Valley four or five years ago I had a good time. I stayed with family on vacation in a very nice cabin up in the mountains. Once there I didn't leave the place until the vacation was over. Tourists ruined a lot of places in the area very unfortunately.
Seriously funny, as we stayed on the hill overlooking Pigeon Forge and visited Cades Cove and on our way back we drove “Through” Gatlinburg and that’s exactly what I said, “A mini Branson Mo”!!! So needless to say, we kept driving on our way back to Pigeon Forge and didn’t stop.

I live about an hour from Bryson City, TN. I’m an avid hunter, fish man both lake and trout. When I was a kid about 10 years old, my Dad took me hunting with him. He was after a very large 10 point white tail deer. We were both in the same tree. Both in climbing stands. I was above my Dad, and it was bow season. He did carry a 9mm on his hip just incase things went sideways. But his 10 pointer would not come within shooting range so he waited till the very last light to climb down out of the white oak tree and make the 1 mile trip, 1/2 on foot, the other half on 4-wheeler. On the climb down out of the tree I was above my dad in the climber. He gave me a look and his voice changed like I’ve never heard since that day. He said to me we r going to lightly jog down the the ridge of the mountain where the 3 mountains come together. I’m going to hold ur hand. U have to carry ur weight ur back pack and bow. Get out ur big light, (we had 2 the little one to creep in the morning and the big one was for at night, incase we had to track what we were hunting. He said if u hear anything behind us ur not to look back for no reason!! He said very sternly and sincerely, If u hear ur name u ignore it. If u think u see something above us ur not to look up for NO REASON, he ordered at me. Understand?!?!? Eyes forward and the goal is the 4-wheeler. Apparently my dad knew something I didn’t at the time. About 1/4 mile into the walk back I started hearing very large branches break what seemed like 20+\- yards behind us. I didn’t look as tempting as it was I didn’t. They were gaining on us something huge as I heard branches, saplings break, and rocks slide against the steep mountain in the fallen leaves. We made it to the 4-wheeler. Dad already had the keys out and with his other hand he flung the blind cover off the 4-wheeler left the cover there. I jumped on, my back pack on, and my bow in between me and my dad.o My dad never drove fast with me on it but he did that night. About 1/4 of the way into the 1/2mile trip back to the truck I just so happened to look up to see where we were at. That was a mistake. In the lights edge of the 4-wheelers head light was a very tall dark figure. It was about 15-20 feet to the right off the back road 4-wheeler trail. My Dad was running about 40 mph, it was a 1996 Polaris Sportsman 500 4x4. He never ran over 20 with me. He kicked another gear and full throttle pasted by this thing that was well over 9-10 feet tall easily. He always left the 4-wheeler trailer ramps down. He drove up the ramp hollered at me as he threw the keys to the truck to me and said get her cranked. He slammed the trailer ramps up and didn’t even bother putting the straps on it and jumped in the truck that I already had running. He locked my door and his and left a trail of ruts on o m that old logging rd. I didn’t look look 👀 back but I did look in the passenger side mirror as we spun away. I wish I hadn’t in the glow of the red tail lights to the 4-wheeler trailer where 2 sets of red eyes. Now the glow from the tail lights could’ve made them red I suppose, but the height of the eyes and width apart didn’t match any animal I’d ever seen even to this day. Made my blood run cold. I strapped myself in the middle seat to the 1991 Ford F-150 4x4 bench seat beside my dad. All my dad said was we were not to speak about it. My dad waited until there was plenty of light at a huge gas station several miles once we hit the pavement to strap the 4-wheeler down. Btw it was a 5mile drive out this logging rd before we hit pavement. I was stuck to my Dad like glue I was terrified. We never spoke about that night. I know for certain that he left my stand and his stand which was his baby (a tree lounge) in that huge white oak tree, along with that blind cover (that covered the 4-wheeler up in the woods)l he never went back there ever again. My suspicion was that my Dad knew they were in the woods, he just waited to late to get us out of there. I’ve often wondered how bad things could have gotten if my Dad didn’t keep his keys to the 4-wheeler and the truck on the same key ring as well as on a retractable line that was attached to the belt loop of his jeans inside his coveralls. Needless to say I make sure I’m well out of the woods before dark falls and I don’t take such a chance on hunting so far away from everything as well as tell someone normally my brother and/or my Aunt were my husband and my kids will be and keep my locator on at all times. There’s things in this world that have not been discovered yet, do yourself a favor and stick to groups 3+ more people, daylight hiking/hunting/fishing, stick to well marked trails, and get the **** outta the woods well before dark, cuz u don’t want to be around if everything including the crickets go completely silent. The Blue Ridge, and Smoky Mountains is nothing to take lightly unless u want to end up looking at something that u don’t have ANY business looking at!!! Take this as ur warning. Happy Trails, and Happy Hunting and Fishing my friends don’t put ur lives endanger it’s sooooo not worth it, take it from my example. Lots of LOVE ❤️ from N.C. Mountains🏔️

@@juliehealingleaf6211 u r right on all points!!! My Dad IMO knew about them. Maybe hadn’t seen them but knew they were there, which is insane to me. Yes, my Dad was trying to spare me, because it has haunted me a lot since then. There’s not a time that I’ve went into the woods without thinking about that time when I was 10. And from my understanding Bigfoot can run somewhere between 35-40mph so yes he definitely let us go. Because if he wanted to he could have caught us in the sharp turns Dad had to slow down on in order to make it around them. Ok. This one is extra creepy. Lol. I was born in Cades Cove (by accident. Long story). My father loves to tease me about being the daughter of big foot. One time on a camping trip there my father suddenly packed us up and left. When we got home he told us he saw a big foot. Now when he tells the story he says it came back to claim it’s daughter, me. 🤣
Love it! What a Fun family memory 😂 I grew up a couple hours east, our Bigfoot were called yahoos! Had no idea until a couple years ago they were the same thing! I never even thought about them until hearing something super weird around my house, pets refused to go outside for about 2 weeks and a 50 lb bag of cat food went missing from my back deck!
Hope there is more of these Tennessee stories! Born and raised in middle Tn and have been to the Smoky Mountains several times in my life but have never witnessed anything like these stories! Would like to hear more about this!

Thanks for sharing that because there was one area in Oregon I was told that had Bigfoot and then the dogman came in and then I think the Bigfoot moves so it seems like they don't necessarily get along I don't know.. this girl shared a story about her experience as a kid in Oregon. Some kids seem to befriend them they've saved kids and then I've heard the opposite stories.
I'm sure my experience has nothing on the ones I just heard, but I had this scary encounter back in 2004 in Michigan. My sister and I were driving in our Suburban through the woods, where we came upon an open area. It was a warm summer night but very dark out. We parked for a moment. As I was sitting in the driver's seat, I looked in the rearview mirror. Two very red glowing eyes were staring back at me in the mirror. I didn't say anything to her because I didn't want her to think that I was crazy; as I had been experiencing weird things at this time in my life that no one else around me were picking up on. About two minutes later she said, '" "Let's get out of here." She had stiffened up and her voice became shaky. Maybe I was just waiting for her to experience what I had been seeing all along. As I started the vehicle, she immediately told me that she was seeing a pair of evil shaped red glowing eyes crouching behind the vehicle. We left onto another trail and I felt relieved because FINALLY she got a paranormal taste of what I had been seeing in the woods all along. A week prior, same woods that has a river flowing through it, I was out there two tracking and just for a creepy vibe, I shut the vehicle off in the middle of the woods, close to the river bank this time. As my friend and I were sitting there, I hear a drum beat filling my ears with some type of chant like, "Eeeeee-IIIIIII-OOOOO". I felt something something rub against the truck.. and although the woods were darker than dark, I made out an even darker form moving along side the vehicle. My friend and I froze. As the drumbeat grew louder into my ears, I look towards the river and see torches floating down the river; as if there are people on a raft carrying these torches. I'll never forget that drumbeat and the torches, nor the chants. It was like Indians. I forgot to mention that I'm also American Indian. So, I thought it may have had something to do with my ancestors. I don't know.

@@gypsysoul5172 it wasn't evil following you, it was "what could have been" if you kept looking backwards and not forward. In other words, you were being warned by the evil spirit of what was waiting for you if you didn't move away from your ways. You simply hadn't embraced bad spirits completely and didn't truly know of what you were asking for, so it was just waiting for you to slip, or turn away from your current ways. The forces of light were simply showing you what was waiting for you if you didn't "turn-look" away from your current path. Simply put, the "light" knew that it wasn't too late for you and the "darkness" wasn't interested in you unless you completely embraced it. I was in the smokey mountains on vacation, and I saw an all white dog that seemed to come from nowhere late at night. It just stared at me as I drove by it. The encounter gave me a very weird feeling.
I had a dog sneak up on me at my jobsite. Scared the hell out of me because I didn't hear her come up. She was super friendly though and from the neighbors nearby. 😂 Just made me think what else could sneak up without me noticing.
Had a big black dog do that to me one night or in the early morning hours to be exact while walking along a deserted street in the ‘burbs. I didn’t hear it until it lunged at me from behind… I spun around before it made contact, luckily, and stared it in the eye and it backed off a bit… we stayed that way for a good while, and I thought I was safe to continue on my way, but the minute I turned around the dog lunged at me again, barely missing my hand. I spun around and stared it down again saying “ don’t you even dare, don’t you dare…”.. and then I started slowly walking away backwards, keeping my eyes locked on the dog’s eyes, and eventually after I’d got about 50ft away from the dog and closer to the main road the dog finally turned tail and ran off… November 1988, Melbourne Victoria… I have no idea what that was about.. but I was a very young woman, walking alone in a place I wouldn’t normally have done especially at that time, except that something awful had happened at home, I was in shock, and running away..I guess I was just lucky that it was a dog, it could have been a person, and a very different story… lesson learned, but it still gives me the chills all these years later. And I learnt.. never turn your back on an animal.
I'm half Cherokee and Blackfoot Theres very old stories hundreds of years old about sasquatch, forest brothers, hairy man etc but in my experience they're generally just looking out for they're territory And are generally harmless unless threatened
Hey! I saw the bat thing also!!! I lived in the Cumberland plateau and was going to the top of a mountain where there were strip mines that people had turned into trash dumps for target practice. Suddenly I heard a strange noise, "Whup. Whup.", which was it's wings. I turned quickly and saw what I thought was a giant buzzard, easily 3x the normal size. It had gone, I believe, from the ground to a pine tree of about 20 feet. It was so big, I'm not sure how it perched for the few seconds it did. The weigt of it almost doubled the tree over as well. It leaps, almost hits the ground but doesn't and the sound of the wings was astonishing, it went through some branches as it went up, out of sight and I've never seen anything else like it.

I live at the edge of The Great Smokies and there are many mysterious things in the deep woods. We have panthers here still, black and BROWN bears, as I saw one with a hump on its back and looked exactly like a Grizzly I saw in British Columbia around Fraiser River. They have released grey and red wolves and elk in to the area. My neighbor swears he saw a sasquatch behind my house numerous times. If I didn't belief he was a nut, it might answer what taps on my bedroom window waking me at night, but I don't know. I do know I have seen black bears in my yard, and the foot prints of either the black panther I see occasionally or the cougars that people swear are not in this area. Having seen a mother with her cubs in my neighbors cut hay field, I suggest they just come and visit awhile! And NO. You could not HIRE me to go hiking or camping in the Great Smokies! Just thought I would share from a native of the area. My people came here from Scotland to settle in 1794, so I have been in the same place forawhile!
I live in a valley surrounded by the Appalachian mountains in Tennessee. And do you know how relieved I am to see you say you have seen panthers and wolves being released?!!. I seen a black panther about 11 years ago and a couple weeks ago I swear I seen a a huge gray wolf at the edge of a field surrounded by woods trying to lure the large dog to chase it. People tell me there aren't wolves here , but this was no dog.
Yes they do look in windows late at night, I had that happen and only saw two pairs of glowing red eyes and then a few days later an encounter with one.
There has been stories of sprits of the forests, woods, valleys and glens. For centuries stories of these spirits were passed down from generation to generation. Different cultures had different names for them but the stories are similar. Fascinating tales.
In N. Michigan I saw HUGE dog paw prints in the sandy dirt out by Timberlee. The area had been bulldozed the day before, and was a long bare strip of dirt as wide as two cars parked side by side...trouble is there were only TWO paw prints. As if something BIG ran across that space on just two feet.
I sure am glad the one time I bicycled the 11 miles around Cade's Cove with my step-dad when I was a kid that we finished before dark. That place has some seriously weird vibes., I even got weirded out on field trips there with my school, never figured out why, but I felt like I was being watched.

My family used to camp at Deep Creek on vacation for a week each summer! I never had any experience there, but I've heard a few stories that came from this area. It's a beautiful area and brings back fond memories, glad nothing ever happened that would tarnish my memories there with my family growing up.
I had a similar " sensation" experience in April of 2020. I was backpacking alone down the Fork Ridge Trail, heading to campsite# 53. I was alone. made it to the site and got myself bedded down for the night. During the night, I felt the strangest paralysis during my sleep, as if I had been encompassed by some kind of electrical force. I was awake, yet unable to move. I remember letting out groans of frustration and irritation and possibly terror, but unable to get myself totally conscious or even roll over. I had taken no kind of medicine or sleep aide. I dwelled on it a bit the next day, but didn't let it detour me to the next campsite down the trail. That day, I found the trail had been washed out into Deep Creek. Being alone and with the creek fairly well swelled, I decided not to venture through the tangled trees and brush that had clogged the creek. I decided to head back to campsite 53. That night, the exact same thing happened. I've made 34 trips to the Smoky Mts since 1987. spent about 134 nights in the back country, many alone. it was a weird incident, but I don't recall ever mentioning it to family or friends before.
That is classic sleep paralysis, a demonic attack. I had them off and on for years, but when I finally forced myself to cry out the name of Jesus, I have never had them again. There IS power in the name of the Messiah; I have personally experienced it. This entity must have been "in residence" in those woods. Thank God it did not follow you, John.
I saw the video and I've been reading these comments for an hour. Yours is the first that looks like it was written by somebody that knows what they're talking about. You cite specific trail names and campsite numbers. All the others describe vague places that could be anywhere, or not in the Smokies at all. It's a huge area, 521k acres. Driving all the way around the national park is more than 200 miles. Based on the descriptions in the video and most of the comments, you would never be able to find most of the sites where the incidents occurred. That leads me to believe a lot of them really didn't happen.
@@stringofpearls4551 do you know that sleep paralysis is a normal part of rem sleep experienced by almost every human being every night? It’s what stops us all from sleep walking, or getting out of bed in a dream state and acting out our dreams. It’s when that fine line between the conscious and subconscious isn’t fully separated when conscious sleep paralysis occurs.. when your body is still sleeping but your mind comes awake. There’s nothing demonic about it, and the monsters you are seeing only exist in your subconscious mind. It’s exactly what happens when people take LSD or other psychedelic drugs.. they open the door between the conscious and subconscious.. we are certainly open to communications from the Universe when our conscious minds are asleep.. hence dreams, and sometimes nightmares…but people are trying to make sleep paralysis out to be something that it isn’t.

I've heard that Giant Mantis story several times now. I remember an episode of Unsolved Mysteries back in the 90's where a guy saw one in the swamp down south somewhere. His description of its behavior was exactly the same. I'm starting to believe that it is another Cryptid out there capable of cloaking. The strange metallic sounds that were mentioned have been acknowledged by David Paulides and others who have played with Ouija boards and held seances/rituals that claimed to have heard the sound of a machine-like noise or like a metal gate closing or chains rattling etc. The theory is the suggestion that a portal might be opening or something is being released into our plane of existence. Either way, it's the same proclamation every time. I wonder if that's what those boys encountered after posting up on that large Boulder with the strange being that seemed to glide across the forest floor.
As a park ranger once told me, the most dangerous creature in the woods is the tick. 20 years of suffering post-Lyme, I still agree with his assessment.

I've lived in these woods my whole life. I spent my childhood in them and never felt a fear of the woods until I was about 20 years old. I frequently took walks outside at night by myself and only ever got worried when I heard boars, but one night I was outside around midnight walking my dog and I heard a noise I'd never heard in my life. It was very loud and sounded very much like a monkey howl sort of vocalization. Everything else outside had gone completely quiet except for this. My dog and I rushed back to the house and I had my mom step outside and listen to it too. Neither of us go out after dark by ourselves anymore.

There are more creatures than you can imagine in life. Completely wrong region but we lived in Ecuador for three years. I went to the park with my kids. Parque Paradisio. My youngest son (8)and i were walking together and this creature flew in front of us. He was about 2 feet long. He had the appearance of an old man with wings. He stalled in the air in front of us and turned his head-all the way around. His neck completely twisted it seemed like he was confused we could see him. His face kind of resembled squidward from spongebob. He had a few long rough hairs on his head anda little-wooden crown that was sideways on his head. His back and chest( above his wings) had red dots in the form of a triangle. Four on top, three, then two, then one. His legs hung lifeless im fairly certain he wouldn’t be able to walk. His shoes were like little fairy shoes curving in a circle at his toes. Then like that he flew off. I knew he was important the triangles he felt were armour. My son looked at me and laughed. He said what was that???? I asked him what he saw and he described the little old man creature perfectly. He drew a picture when we got home. So i know im not crazy. I didn’t put that idea in his head. He told me first. Besides id rather see a beautiful fairy with blue hair. Than a strange old man with a long nose, big forehead and an ill fitting crown. This is going to sound completely out there HOWEVER back in 2001 a praying mantis showed up on my front porch on the threshold of my front door. When I opened the front door and saw him I INSTANTLY knew he was there for me. I just somehow KNEW he was there to deliver a message to me, a message I didn't want. "It is time" An inner knowing, like a flood of information dumped into my head. I knew my life was going to DRAMATICALLY change but I loved my life the way it was, but this was something bigger than me, IDK how else to explain it. 20 years later I now know that this was the beginning of my spiritual awakening, an awakening that literally took 19 years of the hardest, most painful, traumatic years anyone can go through. So much happened that was completely out of my control, but now, looking back I wouldn't change a thing. Everything happens for a reason. And it all started the day that damn green stick stood at my front door and refused to move to the point I didn't leave the house, didn't even open the front door again until my family got home. However, I know from DIRECT, PERSONAL EXPERIENCE that demons can possess (indwell) in vulnerable humans; so it's no surprise that some BFs are D-POed and having supernatural sensory powers to avoid cameras--maybe even guns. You ain't going to like what I'm going to say next. BRACE YOURSELF! Hunting BF teams should be John 3:16 KJB empowered Christians who have GOOD supernatural powers to command demons to obey them. Here is something most don't realize; for every person who tells about seeing a bigfoot there are ten others who have seen them and don't ever talk about it due to being ridiculed. There is a book about Bigfoot sightings in Maryland, now out of print. The author of the book told me most people he spoke to when gathering information for his book wouldn't let him use their stories or names. I was one of them. I told him about my encounter with one and when he wanted to use my story in his book I told him he couldn't.

As an avid hiker here in Florida I have had experiences in the woods with seeing dark shadows moving about and major cold spots during the summer. I have never seen Sasquatch or any other form of Criptid
I've experienced the cold spots too. It could be a cave or sink hole near by emitting the cooler air. At least in Central and northern Florida. Even though at the time I didn't see anything near me.

The last time I went to Cade’s Cove we didn’t see any animals aside from one tiny black bear about two feet tall. The forest ranger stated that was a female with Cubs and as large as the bears got now! 20 years ago the black bears there were about 4-500 lbs, there were red wolves and deer everywhere plus coyotes. It’s sad to see the population decline right before my eyes. I’ve never seen anything odd like in the story told. Never want to either!
Red wolves were eradicated in the Smokey Mountains in 1905. In 1991 the National Park Service tried to reintroduce them, but due to low reproduction and high pup mortality rates, the effort was abandoned and the wolves were relocated to Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge, NC. Smokey Mountain black bears average 250 pounds for males, and 100 pounds for females. However, they can double in size just before hibernation. The record is 600 pounds. BTW, it is illegal to get any closer than 150 feet of a bear in the GSMNP.
This video was great, Dom!!! I enjoyed it so much!!! Your voice and narrations are awesome as always 💙💙💙 I love your new format but I do miss the 2 and 3 hour long videos!!! I'd be proud to be your Aunt Gini... anytime 😊 Dom, take care, stay safe and God bless you ❤️
I like it when after introduction, while telling stories you show accompanying pictures of forests, mountains, lakes ect. that set the aura and carry us to where the story is taking place but when you stop showing pictures it kind of distracts and knocks me off the vibe - one moment we are wandering by the creek in deep dark woods hearing strange noises and the next moment we are back at the studio... It is just my personal preference - cheers!
Or you could tell stories exactly as you do but instead of studio you would have to be sitting somewhere outside, in the forrest, in the mountains, etc. Studio takes the whole soul out of this type of stories. If you don't believe it, try to tell a horror story siting on a toilet - would anyone be terrified and for good reasons? :)
Scariest thing I ever heard come from the mountains was my grandmother telling us how her parents kept a fire lit in the fireplace year round to keep the panthers from coming down the chimney.
I live in the Smokey Mountains and I have never seen Bigfoot but I have heard him and smelled him I was in the camper at night and It chased a wild boar through our campground
Something very large had shaken our RV, it was about midnight, I had seen something earlier in the day, I had thought it was a man but something seemed odd about him, I passed him off as homeless. He had a wild look about him, long hair with dreadlock like knots, there were pine needles stuck to him like he had slept under a tree. His face was pale, he looked like a man and was very muscular. I hadn't told my sister about the incident since I thought it was a man. This was before the whole sasquatch craze and I had never known of them, when I saw a drawing of one on BFRO many years later I recognized it was the same creature.
Most of the times I get off of work because all I do is work in construction I get really high and then I love to listen to all the stories you have to say

I totally believe that there are other creatures out there in certain areas.

There are other reports of other entities elsewhere in our back country too.

The cemetery was creepy but no evil spirits or demons....just an owl on a branch. lol😂
I didn't know squirrels were nocturnal
It was not Bigfoot. It was Little Foot!
Squirrels arent out at night bro. Especially in fall time when owls and other nocturnals see them easier from lack of cover.
Squirrels sleep at night. That's when the predators are out....like bears, bobcats, and ol' Bigfoot.
The Great Smoky Mountains NP is my backyard.
PS - It is spelled Smoky, not Smokey
Also, if you hike around here, don't go in groups smaller than 3+ even in daytime and get back to your vehicle before dark.
I'll go.

Visited Great Smoky NP for the first time this spring. I can honestly say nothing in the woods can be as horrific as the ghastly overcrowded tourist trap tackiness of downtown Gatlinburg.
Ain't that the truth. It's actually sad.
When it was small, it was a great weekend get away but I agree with you now, sadly.

Mountains🏔️

@@virginiaviola5097You are exactly right on this subject. Ever once in a while I have a episode. No demons to be found. It's just weird that's all. Hill Billy stories are fun .
@@virginiaviola5097 disagree strongly, because I have experienced it and saw a dark image in my room. When I was able to rebuke in Jesus’s Name, it left and I was fine.

My nephew and I backpacked on the AT from Clingmans Dome to Fontana Dam in 2015 over 3 days / 2 nights. We rarely encountered anyone else on the trail. Glad I didn't know about any of this until now.
Anyone, that is going camping this year.. needs to check themselves for ticks. The tick's, are very bad this year. Worse than other years! I suggest, a pack of matches in a plastic bag, to put in one's back pack.
Yes, sir. My brother in law has gotten Rocky mountain spotted fever. Guess what his occupation is. He is unavailable for work anymore. River boat captain. Unbelievable
Or they are just stories, made up by people.

As a park ranger once told me, the most dangerous creature in the woods is the tick. 20 years of suffering post-Lyme, I still agree with his assessment.
There are things in the forest and woods that can't be explained, this isn't going to stop, it says in the end times that this would happen ... Bible scripture ... its there ...watch your backs and keep the kids close ... pray for protection always no matter where your going ...

Glad I found this channel just recently, it's right up my alley. I actually live in the Piedmont area near the Great Smokey Mountains and the park is only about 2 hours and 40 minutes away from the area I live if I take the most direct route and there's light traffic..it's literally a day trip for me if I wanna go. Where I live we don't get many stories of the supernatural in the form of bigfoot or dog/wolfmen and the like....we do have the odd story of haunted areas around, and of course all the goodies that come with living near Lake Lanier and it's various little rivers. So..for me, less monster sighting stories and more ghost stories than anything.
You don't need Bigfoot stories. You obviously live in the Atlanta area, where real monsters lurk every day.

Very interesting! I believe that there's new creatures coming up all the time! Its not the only time I have heard about they mantis type being. I've heard of it a half a dozen times! Many people are way too unaware of what's in the woods. Thanks!
I believe the veil between our dimension and others is getting thinner maybe because of people messing with things they have no business messing with
And if you research cryptids enough... it seems like many of them are being 'Created' by a collective of people.
Many of these cryptids have started like a fantasy story, and suddenly people are seeing those cryptids all over the world.
Like Slenderman and the Rake.
It's is strange and is boggling the hell out of me because i can't find any answers. Mainly because people do not want to research it and then release it publicly because of the ridiculing of those topics.
Strange world indeed. 🤔
C'mon people you don't really believe in this shit do you? Bigfoot doesn't exist it was created so people would by into Darwin's theory of evolution because bigfoot is believed to be the missing link between man and ape. I've seen documentaries about bigfoot ever since I was a kid and all they ever found was a footprint or a blurry picture and a video recording that's out of focus or the person filming is all over the place the recorder barley keeping the camera on the so called bigfoot. With today's technology we should have no problem tracking and capturing one of there creatures but for some reason we can't in my opinion that reason îs it simply doesn't exist period
thats really strange as one day my daughter was in her house putting laundry away and she caught something out the corner of her eye and when she turned to look this black thing sped past her at the top of the stairs , the only way she could describe it was like a mantis .she was terrified . this was in England
Or BLISSFULLY unaware! Amirite?! Lolol
It was probably a Mountain Lion. The sounds they can produce are incredibly strange. I am on the NC side, and have caught them on my trail cam. Even a black one.
@@truthseeker2222 I'm in NC too and I've heard a mountain lion before. Everybody says we don't have any mountain lions or wolves in our area but I know so many people who've heard or seen them and I saw a wolf myself fleeing from a forest fire. Whatever made the sounds I heard that night might've been it felt so out of place. I think that was the creepiest. It felt like something you would hear in a jungle. It definitely could've been something completely mundane and just foreign to me but I still get creeped out thinking about it.
The monkey sound is an owl, we have that in Atlanta GA. Very cool to hear.

Unreal. 😂😂😂

Praying Mantis' are messengers from our Higher knowledge. it's taken me 21 years to BEGIN to understand all of this. So, if a praying mantis appears to you seemingly out of nowhere and you feel captivated by it, well, hold on because you are about to go on a wild ride, you will go places you never knew existed AND IT IS AWESOME (evidently lol)

Something similar happened to me!!!!!! Afterwards I went through the most difficult time of my entire life! A serious of very unfortunate, seemingly unbelievably coincidental and painfully traumatic events began for me and I felt like I was going crazy at first and couldn’t deal with it, but I grew and am emerging a much better, much wiser and more spiritually connect person than I ever was before. Wow! This almost made me cry. God bless you! I had to comment because it is uncanny that someone else experienced a knowing and flooding of information like this also. I cant articulate to anyone how this felt! I have been on my journey for a year now. Prayers for you and your continued awakening and happiness! ❤

The mantis creature was an Interdimensional being. The translucence to solid and back to translucence was it phasing in and out of this dimension. My very first DMT trip was with the Mantis people in their dimension. Very decent and kind, though the ones I met were more like cybernethcally enhanced mantis people with very advanced technology. The interesting thing was they said their ancestors were the mantis insects we have today here. I can see how this would scare the heck out of anyone who saw it here on earth. It was not possible for it to have been a laser pointer or anything like that because of the trajectory. I had the distinct feeling that it wanted me to investigate.
