I almost got that recently but seemed like it'd be a bit too snappy. I've found I'm less likely to train as much if the gun isn't enjoyable to shoot a few hundred rounds with. I ended up buying the Canik Tp9 Elite SC instead with bronze slide ($399), and a Holosun 507k green dot ($299). Glad Taurus is now making good, reliable guns for reasonable prices, though I have heard some horror stories on their Spectrum pocket pistol (which sucks because I really wanted one)
Hey Chaplin, that canik is definitely a great carry gun. I used to have that as well and had to sell it for cash needed 🤒 I totally regret selling. It’s definitely accurate and for the time I had it was iron sight only. Love all caniks package as well. As far as the GX4 I love and it’s been dependable. It’s my summer carry and now in my safe till it gets warm again.
@@4mailekona - No worries I'm sure you'll get it again, this time, with optics enabled so it'll be better! Fun pistol. I can't wait to try a more full sized Canik. I see your thought process on gx4=summer. I think for a summer pistol I'm just going to get a pocket 380. Just a "get off me" gun that easily conceals even in swim trunks
I have the PT111 G2 it has been prefect in operation since day one. Never a FTF or FTE. Has been a very good firearm. Trigger gets better with every box of ammo at the range, and it shoots real nice on the reset. Great gun. Subbing.
Mighty fine looking pistol, and I trust it shoots as well. Love my G3C, probably will score the G3 for good measure too. Thanks for sharing n' God bless
Not that I recall. I've run about 250 rounds so far. Ran a clip of HPs and ran fine. If no issues after 500 rounds brand new I would call it good. Did a clip of rapid fire and ran ok.
@@4mailekona Nice. Mine failed around 70 rounds, right after some double-tapping drills. An FTE issue where the extractor would intermittently grab each casing. After about 10 more rounds it stopped extracting entirely and was repeatable with three different ammo types. I returned it under warranty and they deemed it a “out of spec rail” which required the firearm to be destroyed. Currently waiting on the replacement but you can imagine how I view Taurus in light of their reputation and my recent experience. They also forgot to ship the spring with my 13-round mag extension. The three different women I spoke with in customer service don’t seem to know how to rectify the issue… Lesson learned!
@@actraveler8309 Hope it runs better when you get it back. I hate it when having issues with a new gun. I enjoy the break in process but despise having issues early on.
Hi thanks. There are deals out there just have to shop around. Now is a buying time as gun and rifle prices reasonable but may go up due to the mass shootings happening 😔
@@jl3449 Thanks unfortunately I got it before the rebate 😪 But yeah for those thinking about getting a Taurus pistol there's a $25 rebate i think till the end of the month of July. Cannot BEAT the prices with rebate!
Nice video showing the red dot installation.
Thank you!
Thank you for the review. I have a Gc3 and was wondering size difference. You answered by showing me your grip.
I had the G3C and can say the GX4 toro is a tad bit smaller/slimmer sort of like the size of a G43 or mp shield

@@ikigai47 nice yes, I like to wear shorts in the summer. ✌️
Can’t wait for mine to come in! Great video friend.
Thanks! It’s a really great iwb pistol! Break it in well and get extra mags

Nicely said. Guns that shoots with no issues are what makes me smile at the range. Be safe and enjoy it! Thanks for the sub. ✌️
The GX4 is also compatible with Glock 43 holsters. Fits even better without the need to tighten the retention like the one you showed.
Thanks for the info. Great to know it’s compatible with the glocks
Do you know if the gx4 will work with a really form fitting holster like the alien gear shapeshift designed for the glock 43?
@@chriscassel1128 It might be possible but I cannot confirm it. Save your receipt and return if it doesn’t. gl !
How well does the red dot co-witness? Full/ 1/2 or 3/4?
Looks like a full co witness to me
Can you open carry wit the red dot ?
In certain places in Oregon yes, but due to the current society I would rather carry concealed

Thanks. I finally shot it this past weekend with red dot sight in. 150 rounds no issue. A little snappy compared to my Glock19x
Does the GX4 fit a red dot triji RMR, are the cards known?
I think an adapter plate is needed for RMR
@@4mailekona thanks
Graphene?

Have you had any failures with it?

Looks great. I was oh heck he's forgotten the battery. Like that 6 MOA dot better than a 2 or 3.
Lol yes I was like duhhh 😂 thanks for watching bro
I got my non TORO for 350! What a deal man I’m jealous

No stores have the gx4 toro where I live . I have to order them and it will be around 400.00 out the door , still not too bad.

What is the model of this red dot?
It’s a Sig Romeo zero 6 moa red dot size
How is a red dot gonna help you when the bad guy is 5 yards away?
Hopefully it never comes to that. It’s just point and shoot within 5 yards.
Red dots are good in personal defense if your eyes aren’t as good or maybe for wife/girlfriend that aren’t used to iron sights.
@@cheeng1 still gotta train with sights red dot batt good go out then what?
