The first time I ever saw Lost Dog Street Band y'all were busking on Market Square where I live in Knoxville, Tennessee. It must have been a decade or more ago. I can't say enough about how proud I am, of you guys and I am not pitting myself next to you so please don't take it the wrong way. I don't know you all, but because of your level of care and skill that you put into song craft, I have suffered and celebrated with you throughout the years. That is what honest music gives us is a tangible relationship with each others/your intangibles. This is such a carefully crafted piece with so much homage and respect paid to the genre, perhaps more than anyone on the scene other than perhaps the Malpass Brothers who also pay respect to the traditions. But the difference is with you we see the tradition but we still see you and that's so very rare something that very few have been able to achieve.
