    My grandmother use to work in the laundry on Dickenson road longsight the market was once thriving in the 1990s I remember Kwik safe supermarket facing the market years ago and when you walk past the telephone box and turn left was a bank so much as changed in longsight I remember getting off the 53 bus facing the market

    15:22 That Levi Local used to be our family photo business. 50 years it was there until I closed in 1998. Two flats upstairs via the white door.

      Went to that shop in the Summer of 1988 to get my first passport photo. Nice man who took the photo. Nice times back then.

    Woooow sad to see how Longsight market has gone down, it use to be a great vibrant market packed full of stalls selling great products. Its a horrible crap run down market now

    Amazing. Born n brought up there and love it. True Manchester as it is n will be. To those who feel unnerved by it- tough n suck it up. Either learn share n get along or do one.

    I grew up around there, it’s been ruined , it’s filthy and dirty. We didn’t have what the kids have today, but there’s no respect. It’s a third world looking place, makes me so sad .

      They went wrong when they started colonising other countries and teaching them their languages and stealing their resources, this is only a fraction of reparations for what they did. Wait till 2050, England might even be called the Islamic republic of England
