My grandmother use to work in the laundry on Dickenson road longsight the market was once thriving in the 1990s I remember Kwik safe supermarket facing the market years ago and when you walk past the telephone box and turn left was a bank so much as changed in longsight I remember getting off the 53 bus facing the market

3rd world dump - filthy dirty streets and unkempt properties. Areas to drive through to get to somewhere decent. As soon as you cross into Stockport you enter civilisation. The whole area from Longsight to Levenshulme is populated by sullen non-integrated people. Truly awful areas.
