I really like long games, it ensures there's always something to do. Especially if there's postgame content where after the main story I can do even more!

The reviewer has to rush n get his review in so IGN can be the first to have a review out for the game, can’t enjoy or accurately review a game if you sped through it bc your job forced you to
I don’t think it’s the reviewer fault I think it’s the game Company for not giving never giving their reviewers enough time to play the games and The reason why story focused linear games like the last of us get way higher scores because of the story which is what they usually play

People can’t wrap their head around the basic logic. It’s great but got dinged for repetitive and underwhelming side activities. At this point their looking for evolution or profession of the open world side tasks. Pretty simple
@SPACEBLAZR_76 yeah I don't get why people are hating on IGN for knocking on lack of side mission variety... if it really is repetitive and not fun, dinging it a point seems reasonable. I'm playing the first game right now and some of the side stuff does feel repetitive and a little boring. Not too bad of course, but if the second one doubled down on it I definitely get the point. Also they gave it an 8... that's not horrible.
Yeah when the first game came out one of its criticisms was that the side missions weren’t really interesting and quite boring.
I haven’t finished Spider-Man 2 yet but I can say that the side missions have been drastically improved

mirage is actually pretty good not as good as sm2 tho
I haven't played or watched Mirage but all I know is that the gameplay is horendus and when you hit enemeies they barely even move. It looks horrible compared to spiderman 2 which has actually been the most fun i've had with a game in a while.

can we just call that the game critics mode cause that got to be the only reason why that exists I hate how alot of modern video games are adding a mode where you can't die like I'm all for easy mode on games to help out unexperienced players but when you make it where you just can't die than at that point is isn't a easy mode it's cheating if you wanted to play only for the story and ignore all combat why buy the game in the first place you can experience the entire story free on youtube and you don't actually wanna play as spiderman

And that's why I don't play easy mode like I used to when I got a game I never played before, now easy mode is a cheat code where as before you could play a game on easy and it would be a bit difficult but you'd be able to breeze through it without needing to be skilled at it.

Seriously this is accurate. The guy in the review even complained that he game felt like playing a movie….that’s the way I described it to everyone and I mean that as a MASSIVE compliment it makes it so much fun, while hooking you into the story!
A game playing like a movie infers that there's a lack of player agency. Not a positive
It can also mean the story is engaging well written and seamlessly transitions between gameplay and cut scene, which I love!
